I'd like Correa at SS but I'm thinking that if they were okay with Seager at SS then Lux might have a chance since he seems to have a better arm, and range and might play way up with defensive positioning etc. Anyhow, this is my lineup with Correa:
1. RF Mookie 2. 1B Freeman 3. SS Correa 4. DH JD Martinez 5. 3B Muncy- ugh! 6. C Smith 7. 2B Lux 8. LF Taylor 9. CF Thompson
Bench:
C Barnes 3B Vargas OF Outman UTL Alberto PH Rios

I have a hard time believing they would sign Correa at any price.I think they're banking on Lux at short. Can't really see any big time signings this off-season. Gotta feeling this will be a quiet off-season other than letting Trea, JT and Bellinger walk.

This thing to me has a certain pattern. The market came back down Friedman's way for Mookie, Bauer and Freeman. Agents aren't dumb so I would bet that they noticed the pattern and they get each team's highest offer for Judge double check that that's the best offer and don't wait and take it. I just hope it's not the VaGiants that get him! And, the Ohtani rumors are really wild. That ain't happening. I agree about Ohtani. Moreno would do everything in his power to avoid seeing Ohtani in a Dodger uniform. I've seen packages including ALL our major prospects. Moreno wouldn't even consider them. I wouldn't put any trade possibility past Moreno. He's so dumb that he's sacrificed good pitching for power. His latest dumb deal was trading Syndergaard to the Horsies for I don't remember who, but he seems to have made the difference for the Horsies and I'm rooting for them to beat the Trashtros. Thor had an ERA of 3.83 in 15 starts with the Angels, a little better than the MLB average. I can't imagine anyone in his right mind trading Showtime with both his OPS of .875 and ERA of 2.23, but for Moreno. How does he hope to improve either the rotation or run production by dealing him? But if he has an oppurtunity to deal for a hitter with a .876 OPS or a pitcher with a 2.22 ERA he'll do it. People can knock Kasten all they want, or whoever makes deals for the Dodgers, but Moreno's IQ is in the negatives.

Then he gave a crack addict $125,000,000.

What trades have there been between the two teams? I recall Bill Singer, Frank Robinson & Bobby Valentine for Andy Messersmith & Ken McMullen. I always liked Singer. He got hurt though. He had a 20 win season, started out strong the next year, & that was it. Robinson was DH material at that stage of his career. Valentine might have developed into an Alex Verdugo type. But he got hurt too.
McMullen had some really dramatic pinch hit homers for us. But the key was Messersmith. That guy was a legitimate stud. The best pitcher on a staff that included Sutton, John, Rau & Hooton.

Okay. Syndergaard was traded for Mickey Moniak & Jadiel Sanchez. What a haul.
Maybe Moreno figured Noah would leave this winter anyway. But that reminds me of Al Campanis trading Ron Cey for table scraps. "Better to get rid of a player a year too early than a year too late." Yeah. That's assuming you get something of value in return. Cey had plenty of ball left in him.

And I recall he had a start against a Met pitcher named Folkers. It was reminiscent of WWI, a Messerschmidt vs the Folkers fighter planes. Messersmith won that game. Bill Singer had a few good seasons left in him and why the hell did Al Campanis trade Bobby Valentine? He was hitting something like .302 till he fractured his ankle, or was it both of them? Ken McMullen was a great pinch hitter and Frank Robinson was ready for the pasture.

But that reminds me of Al Campanis trading Ron Cey for table scraps. "Better to get rid of a player a year too early than a year too late." Yeah. That's assuming you get something of value in return. Cey had plenty of ball left in him. I remember the Sporting News headline in their format where they had headlines for all the teams, weekly: "Time for Garvey and Cey to depart". I was all for letting Garvey walk, as much as I liked him. He was just chasing too many pitches down and away like Cody does now, and killed rallies in the process. Besides, Greg Brock was ready for his promotion. Too bad he bombed. Strange, he didn't K much and walked nearly as much. I recall Vinny said he had Stargell power and I remember one pitch he hit against the Monks that was a bullet and it hit the scoreboard in RF about a second after contact. And Cey, he was never great, but just steady and reliable. Pedro Guerrero, as great a hitter as he was, was no third baseman. Though the Dodgers won the division in '83, I'm sure that if Cey had been on the team, would've beaten the Horsies in the playoffs.

Cey had a few good years left. We had no replacement. It was about money.

I have a hard time believing they would sign Correa at any price.I think they're banking on Lux at short. Can't really see any big time signings this off-season. Gotta feeling this will be a quiet off-season other than letting Trea, JT and Bellinger walk. If so Lux would be fine but they need a real scarer in the middle after Mookie and Freeman and that's not Muncy so maybe there is something to this Judge thing. Lux at SS and Mookie at 2B seems nice but Lux hasn't played a lot at SS in the majors and though Mookie looked good in a few games there last season hasn't played there in years so there might be some errors. There is also Michael Busch at 2B but he wasn't hitting enough at AAA. Anyway, villains win so if Correa doesn't cost too much I want them to bring him on.

No way in this world Judge covers the ground and makes the catches Betts seems to do on a regular basis in right. Changing a position like that can sometimes screw with a players head, even if they’re willing to make the change. I’m not saying that’s what happened to Bells, especially with the injuries. But he was an All Star / MVP at 1B and while his D has remained spectacular, his bat has not. I hate the idea of letting him walk because I still think he has a lot of talent that might come back and bite us in the ass in the future. Judge is a great talent to be sure. But he’s 30 years old, just had the career year of ANY player and ain’t gonna hit 60 + HR’s in Dodger Stadium. And his postseason numbers are right in line with this years Dodgers. .211 career; and he had 15 K’s in seven games THIS year. That’s a little over two per game. Lux at SS is worrisome as we’ve seen him botch throws from second and I don’t know if he has the speed or range to cover that side of the infield. Lots of question marks for this team in the off-season. But the one constant hurdle we cannot overcome is the tag team of DDF II and Frogman. They can sign Judge, Trout, Ohtani and deGrom and those two would STILL find a way to spend October on the links rather than a baseball stadium. GO DODGERS!!!

Oh shi.. did not look at Judge's post- season numbers. Yeah that's a no- go for me for crazy money. Too many guys that shrink at the plate in the playoffs already on this team, including the great Mookie Betts so... And, another good point, the dummy and nerd can't treat the post- season like the regular season. They have to attack and I do mean attack post- season with urgency and fire under their ass. Passiveness won't work, does not work! Nice post jr.
