Plus Denzel is just one of those guys that never seems to make a bad movie. Training Day is still one of my favs - probably top ten.
Looking forward to the final chapter of It. Pennywise has never been creepier. Likely going to have to wait for it to make its way onto HBO or one of our other gazillion pay stations. No chance in this world I’ll be able to talk the wife into seeing it at the theater. She won’t even watch the first one in the safety and comfort of our home. She’s not a fan of that genre in any way, shape or form. GO DODGERS!!! Man on Fire, Malcolm X, A Soldier's Story, The Pelican Brief, Philadelphia, Training Day, Inside Man, American Gangster, The Book of Eli, Deja Vu, Unstoppable, Safe House, & The Equalizer movies. What was the one where his son was dying of a heart condition & he offered his own? John Q - another good one. He was excellent on St. Elsewhere, but so was pretty much everyone else on that show which launched quite a few careers. GO DODGERS!!!

Gung Ho is on. So many good cliches.
"We piss for distance."
"We do it for accuracy."

Def! She went from a squeaky and annoying plain Jane Jackie Burkhardt on That 70’s Show to a genuine major hottie! No wonder Ashton dumped Demi (who I’d STILL do!) for her. GO DODGERS!!!

After reading the post in books about the IRA and British imperialism, I had to comment on a film I caught the other night on HBO.
It’s called Mortal Engines and is set in the future after the world has been annihilated by weapons of mass destruction that make nukes look like firecrackers.
There is one major city left (London) that now travels the lands on wheels and basically gobbles up any other smaller city it can consume, taking what land, population and resources it has for their own.
Problem is, those smaller cities on wheels are few and far between and London’s resources are dwindling.
Their only chance for survival is to break through a wall that is heavily guarded and behind which a civilization live in actual permanent towns and villages with all of the resources they need.
One of the top “officials” on London decides to recreate the WMD to break through and down the wall.
Typical good -vs- evil and definitely a bit on the offbeat fantasy side, but enjoyable.
GO DODGERS!!!

GO DODGERS!!! One movie I"ll see over and over is the new Downton Abbey movie. It's very true to the six year TV series and there'll be a sequel in another year or two and probably several after that. I very highly recommend it.

Stigmata is on. Although not overly religious, this is a great movie, IMHO.
