Looks like a good lead CK, you gonna call them 👍 I am. There's two Catholic churches, both via internet/websites offer tele#'s and email addresses, I was raised Catholic. I'll put together a "sob" story, the truth though. I intend to call the local UPS Store, maybe print flyers and get them out somehow. Dunmore is only a little over 14,000 population. Piece of cake I'm thinking. I'm on a mission from God!!! :) edit - I'm thinking flyers at Sunday afternoon Mass at both churches oughta do it. Yeah!!! |

Minor update on Butwheat. Only one of the churches has a Sunday PM Mass, and Parish bulletins come out weekly, dated every Sunday. It's too late there and I'm beat. Slow progress.

Hello, Parish of Saint Mary of Mount Carmel Church. I’m contacting you to ask a favor, I suppose a rather odd favor. I’m a member of a L.A. Dodgers fan message board and I’m asking for your help in locating I believe a parishioner of yours, who until last season has been a regular member of our “club”/message board for many many years.
I’m certain the parishioner, named Jim (don’t know his last name), his screen name for the message board was Butwheat (Buckwheat was taken according to him) would like to be contacted by the “club” I represent, and return to it. This off-season all Major League Baseball team message boards were suddenly disbanded by MLB after being in service since 2002, club members were left in the lurch. We have put a new message board together.
Jim shared a few personal details, he proudly lives in Dunmore, PA and every Sunday he attends afternoon Mass. Each Sunday during the season Jim would post on the board in the Game Day Thread that he was leaving to attend Mass (Dunmore’s other Catholic Church doesn’t have a Sunday afternoon Mass according to websites), and would return hopefully by the end of the game. He would always come back after Mass and check-in. I’m Catholic. Jim is approximately 72 yrs old and in fairly poor health. Jim has a large family, many grandchildren, and was in the Navy. He is the #1 fan on our board, sharing fond memories of seeing and being a fan of the Brooklyn/LA Dodgers since the early ‘50’s.
After the original board was closed we were able to rebuild our “club”, it now totals 73 members. But we’re missing Jim, the #1 fan in my mind, he’s a treasure. Please help us contact him. I’m willing to supply flyers, perhaps you could make an announcement at the Sunday afternoon Mass, I noticed you have a weekly bulletin, anything, whatever works.
