Is it possible for Barnes to suck any worse than he already does? Has he thrown out a baserunner this year?
Okay - he somehow got a hit and knocked in two runs. But his piss poor arm has already cost LA at least one of those runs back.
Not to mention his calling for fastballs that Walker has hit two of into the all you can eat pavilion.
Nothing like a “getaway” lineup on a Thursday night at home when your next series is - AT HOME!!!
Barnes twice a week is simply unacceptable and unbearable. But that certainly doesn’t appear like it’s going to change anytime soon, if ever.
These guys are going nowhere fast if this is any indication of how they’re going to look in October.
Hell - they’re just over halfway thru the regular season at this point!
GO DODGERS!!!

Nice show out there tonight. Shadow is a brave little guy. I haven't seen Sleet in hours.

Second straight series loss at home against the Snakes. Ugly - very ugly.
How this team remains one of the favourites to win the World Series is beyond me.
Unless they’re just basing it on the amount spent to to put the most expensive team in history into the hands of two inept lunatics who have zero imagination and can’t even make a lineup without a computer telling them what to do.
I truly don’t see this team we’ve seen over the last month or so getting out of the first round of the playoffs, if even one of the Wild Card games if they have to play in one of those.
Buehler looks lost and cooked; Miller time - not much better.
May and Kershaw could return after the break, but what if they’re no more of an improvement than those two?
Yamaha? Haven’t heard a thing about him for weeks.
Paxton has been good, but both he and Glasnow got lit up they’re last times out.
And this team does not perform well from behind. It doesn’t help that over half their lineup is hitting less than .200 nearly EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!!
Two of their most dependable relievers both look like shells of their former selfs.
Ohtani seems to be trying to hit a HR every single at bat. He simply cannot carry this team by himself.
Even the Freeman is struggling. They’re almost getting unwatchable. And the Stains are gaining a game just about every night.
Someone needs to kick them in their collective asses!
GO DODGERS!!!

I'm a bit more optimistic. We've dealt with a LOT of injuries.
Betts will be back. I would put him at second. I had high hopes for Lux. Those have been dashed. Maybe he can be packaged or used as a utilityman.
Freeman at first.
Rojas at short. Leave him there.
Vargas at third. Leave him there.
Muncy as DH.
Ohtani in left.
Pahes & or Outman in center.
Teoscar in right.
Get a decent backup for Smith behind the plate. Is that asking so much?
I have no faith May makes it all the way back.
Beuhler is smart. How long it takes him to adjust to the new reality is anyone's guess.
Kershaw will be Kershaw.
Glasnow is excellent. Just stay on the field.
Stone, Yamamoto & Miller have proven themselves.
So has our bullpen.
Not sure if Roberts qualifies as AI. The 'I' stands for intelligence. Even with Friedman (or because of Andrew), Dave isn't allowed to prove he's intelligent. Artificial...

Your optimism is commendable. Unfortunately, you know me - Mr. Half Empty. I agree with keeping Rojas at SS. But you know Maxine and his .200 BA will be back at third once he comes off the IL. I’d move Mookie back to RF. Heyward and his .200 BA, not to mention weak ass arm, has no more business being in the every day lineup than Taylor, Kiké, Vargas and Lutz. Outdoorman and Pages can man CF and Teo has been better than expected in LF. So that still leave a hole at 2B which LA can hopefully fill with a decent bat as well as D. They’ve stuck with Barnes this long and I just don’t see him being replaced even as bad as he is on D. The pen has me a bit worried as well and I don’t think it is as strong as last years. I don’t trust Alvarez at all and have never been a fan of Vespa. Train Wreck and Phillips can’t seem to throw a clean 1-2-3 inning lately. The never ending flux in the starting rotation is also a concern. It seems like the minute LA gets one guy back another goes down. It gives me pause just how long before Paxson and Glasgow go down. I think I read they are both nearing or over more pitches than either has thrown in any season. And one has to wonder with all of our and many other pitchers going on the IL just what effect the pitch clock is ultimately having on them. I certainly don’t think it’s just a coincidence that just about every week a team loses a starter or reliever. And, of course, factor in Daisy and Fraudy and their refusal to go with anything that doesn’t come on a spreadsheet and LA is once again looking at tee times in October rather than playoff sites. When they can’t even beat the Snakes at home and lose two out of three to the lowly Gnats, it is troubling. They’re barely playing .500 over the last month or so. But maybe this is a good thing. 100 wins and the division title are nice, but what have they resulted in the last few years? I’d love to see them continue to win series and maintain their division lead. But I’d MUCH rather see them get hot come late September and carry that through to another WS title. GO DODGERS!!!

Heyward might be done - not a great loss there. Outdoorman back up.
Still need to address those .200 or less averages from five or six thru nine.
There HAS to be more to this offense than Mookie (when he returns), Shohei, Freddie, Will & Teo.
Can Rojas sustain his current hot bat? Will Outdoorman return to the form we saw last year?
And speaking of Mookie - he’s probably going to miss eight weeks.
He’s also known to slump sometime just about every season.
Let’s hope the two coincide at the same time this year.
Lutz, Biggio, Taylor, Kiké and Barnes are all dead weight that nobody would miss.
And Daisy and / or Fraudy are starting to feel the pressure that if they continue to alienate the fans with their Buddy system style of management, this will hopefully wake ownership up and force them to finally admit these two are not going to win them another title.
GO DODGERS!!!

Grand slam off Glasnow. 60 + pitches and only one out in the fourth.
Fresh Prince the only source of Dodger offense with two solo HR’s.
Is Seinfeld on yet?

But with Betts, his seem to go on for weeks at a time. And it’d truly suck if he gets his groove back in August only to see him lose it again come September or October when he is REALLY needed. And the Fresh Prince has his third of the night. That ball went a LONG way up the pole. GO DODGERS!!!

It's why you seldom see Freeman in extended slumps. He goes the other way so well. Pull hitters are subject to more streaks.

Does Smith hit a fourth homer on Ohtani's birthday?

He draws a walk. Freeman up with the bases loaded. In comes a lefthander to face Freddie. Hopefully Freeman makes them eat that hackneyed cliche about lefty on lefty.
