Yup! Imagine Imanaga and say Montgomery or Yamamoto or Gray. That would round out the rotation very nicely. We have a surplus of righty starters. It's a lefty starter we need and there's none MLB ready on the farm so it's looking like one of those Japanese pitchers will be signed. Ya! I hope they identify the couple RH starters they want to keep and strengthen the team moving from the others. Just like they did with Josiah Gray and didn't with Bobby Miller. The Dodgers need starters whether RH or LH since we see them use about 8 starters yearly. I don't feel confortable relying on a bunch of rookies the only way is if they're the 6th, 7th or 8th options. Buehler will be coming back from his second Tommy John surgery so I see them limiting his innings and then he's a free agent at the end of the season and Bob Miller will be in his second full season so I see both of them being put on the ghost IL stint to keep them fresh. As of now the team only has two and half starters so they have to go get at least two established guys on the free agent market: 1. Buehler 2. Miller 3. Yarbrough- this is a big maybe

Yarbrough- this is a big maybe I do understand that. Pepperman is a keeper, how he learned control and has learned to throw many strikes and miss many bats with a great ERA. Emitt Sheehan, I can understand your skeptcism since he's had half a year, but he did improve big time. I wouldn't trade him just yet. Let's see how he does in the spring. But I'm sick of hearing about how we'll trade for Corbin Burnes. The Beer Drinkers, the Central champs, won't trade their ace at any price and he wouldn't be worth 3 hot pitching prospects who are "unproven". A hot MLB ready pitcher on another team would be a good idea. So why not Walkman, Miller, Pepperman, and 2 imports, one a lefty? Or if it'll be a 6 man rotation, that 6th pitcher could be Sheehan/Nick Frasso/River Ryan? THere are plenty of options and we're in the driver seat.

Well, with Muncy supposedly back, I guess that rules out Arenado. Where else are you going to play Muncy? Unless you're figuring on jettisoning Martinez. That doesn't sound like addition. Muncy or Martinez? Hmmm... Trout as the impact bat. Maybe Montgomery & one of the Japanese pitchers. And they keep saying that SHowtime will be a Dodger with a supposed 50 mil salary over a decade but won't be able to pitch till '25. And it's starting to sound like Mad Max will be traded. He has a potent bat but nowhere to play him. This promises to be a very busy winter. If LA ownership / management pays a half BILLION for a broken player, they’re going to go right up there with their neighbor down south Arte Moreno. He won’t pitch next year, so $50 mil for a DH? And it still remains to be seen how effective his bat will be with a lame arm. What if he damages it further? And we have already seen how well “rehab” on arms works - NOT. He may still require surgery next if not the following year, so another $50 to $100 mil for a year plus on the IL. I think it’s absurd to even consider signing O, especially since this team has far more significant needs in both starting pitching and third base. He may be a once in a lifetime player, but that lifetime is already in progress and he might just be looking at two or three years before it starts back up again. And just how good and effective will he be in year nine or ten of this albatross contract? Can you say Albert Pujols? PLEASE let the Gnats, Baby Bears, Orioles, M’s or whoever take this gamble and not the Dodgers. GO DODGERS!!!

Amazing how quickly his “preference” has changed now that he’s not under contract and looking for that lottery score. Dude pretty much snubbed LA at the trade deadline last year, even after Mookie (?) tried to talk him into joining the team. If one of the stars of the league couldn’t convince him to join a perennial winner over a losing team like he was on, I say screw him. There are plenty of other fish in the sea for us to throw millions at without spending it on someone who just a couple of months ago dissed LA. GO DODGERS!!!

OK let's say the Dodgers lock up Shoetime for the next decade. Of course, he won't be pitching next year and a $50 mil DH is a no-go. So, why not pay him half that salary till he's ready to return to the mound? I just hope Scott Boros isn't his agent!

Wherever Shohei winds up, expect him to praise...
The rich history of the franchise. It's commitment to winning. The crew already in place. The city. The fans.
Not mentioned will be the money.

So, why not pay him half that salary till he's ready to return to the mound? I just hope Scott Boros isn't his agent! He and his agent would NEVER go for that deal because SOME team WILL give him $50 mil as a DH. As far as his pitching goes, most of the talking heads have him only doing that for a couple / few years if and when he does return to the mound. Being a two way player in this league is simply close to impossible for an entire career with all the travel, personal appearances, etc. He’s no spring chicken and I’d be more than surprised if he continues to pitch into the later of those ten years. So a half billion gets you a ten year DH and maybe 50 - 60 W’s on the mound if he pitches another three or four years? AGAIN, I say THANKS, BUT NO THANKS! Let the NYer’s overpay for this guy and concentrate on filling the NEEDS of this team, not the shiny new toy that’s available. GO DODGERS!!!

Don't think we need to worry about signing Ohtani IMO. Can't see Friedman ponying up that kind of cash or years. If he doesn't have a geographical requirement you can bet he will be a Met if its just the money he cares about.
What we need to worry about is how Friedman decides to spend all this freed up money they have. Don't need anymore reclamation bullshit. Get some actual ready to go now pitching and hitting. Yamamoto, Snell or Nola. Trade for Burnes. Anything but settle for some dumpster crap and please don't bring back Lynn under any circumstances...

Unfortunately, no matter who they bring in, we’re still stuck with Fraudy and Daisy in the dugout and they will continue to be the downfall of this team, no matter what the roster looks like.
Let’s face it - we have had some of the best teams on paper and in the league for close to a decade, yet only one short seasoned title which I have serious doubts LA would have won had it been a full 162.
Roberts’ teams have excelled at close to 100 wins and divisional titles in all but one of his managerial seasons.
But for whatever reason, they cannot seem to get over that hump in October. The cheating years notwithstanding, Roberts has had his hand in just as many poor decisions and defeats.
And Roberts doesn’t take a daily dump without consulting Fraudy so most, if not all of those poor decisions also fall on his shoulders.
Until ownership dumps one or both of these clowns, we’re going to be disappointed every year come the fall classic.
And ownership isn’t going to do anything as long as LA continues to put 47,000 in the stands every night.
Their bottom line is their only concern, despite their promise to build a dynasty and multiple titles.
And their bottom line is good.
GO DODGERS!!!

I really don't see how you can blame Robby for Mookie and Freddy stinking up the joint in the playoffs, both striking out with the bases loaded and the 3 starting pitchers looking like low level minor leaguers. Looking so bad against the Dbacks and last year against the Monks, both teams the Dodgers dominated in the regular season, is totally on the players. Some players, notably Kersh and the late Bob Welch, just can't handle playoff pressure, and others thrive, like Yassy Puig and Joc Pederson. Emmit Sheehan pitched well after serving up that homer. You just never know

Some players, notably Kersh and the late Bob Welch, just can't handle playoff pressure, and others thrive, like Yassy Puig and Joc Pederson. Emmit Sheehan pitched well after serving up that homer. You just never know I absolutely put some of the blame on the players failures. But some of that also goes back to Daisy. He’s not a good motivator and tries to be everyone’s buddy. They don’t respect him or fear him, and both of those are needed when it comes crunch time. If you watch him in the dugout, his expression NEVER changes, whether they’re up by 10 or down by 20. It’s always the same blank “I wonder when my car insurance is due” stare off into nowhere land. And our other pitching and hitting coaches also get their share of the blame, granted Prior didn’t have a whole lot to work with this year. But you look at a guy that we dumped like Eovaldi and what direction from Maddux (who we ALSO had as our pitching coach at one time) did for him and his career. He’s now wearing a ring and was nearly flawless in all but one postseason game this year. When something works for Daisy, he very seldom, if EVER tries it again. Starting Buehler a few years ago and taking all of that first opening game pressure off of Kersh worked to perfection. Buehler pitched his ass off and Kersh (who was probably more than a little pissed off) came in the next day and probably had his best career postseason appearance. So - why not try that again this year? Miller had been one of our best starters all year and Kersh was coming off an extended layoff and hadn’t thrown more than five innings in either of his previous two starts. Of course, we now know Kershaw’s shoulder was injured - but did he and / or Daisy know about the injury and if so, throw him out there to the wolves anyway? There’s PLENTY of blame to go around here. But we have seen a fairly decent influx and turnover of players and still have put together some of the best regular seasons in team history. The only constant that hasn’t changed is Daisy & Fraudy. They are simply not prepared or able to win the biggest games of the year in October. Daisy is simply a younger version of Rusty, who ALSO was provided with some of the best teams with the best regular season records in Washington, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Chicago and Houston. He FINALLY got his one title last year but like I said before, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then. I just don’t think Daisy and Fraudy will EVER be those squirrels. GO DODGERS!!!

You just never know I mean it's the same thing every year in post season. You actually don't think these players see him in crunch time sit there sucking on one thumb with the other up his ass. As a player you have to wonder WHEN he's going to fuck up not if after all those post seasons of constant failures. And, okay, let's say he's not responsible for Betts and Freeman struggling well how about the rest of the lineup not doing a damn thing either. Zero trying to fabricate and put runners on base or in scoring position or bringing around to score. You think the men in the dugout that know the game don't notice?! I'm sick of that puppet and the excuses made for him. If he didn't have any balls and wasn't a minority I believe his ass would've been gone!
