Couldn’t be happier to see the Mutts take another kick in the balls with ANOTHER of their high dollar acquisitions starting the season on the IL.
Verlander with shoulder issues - what did they give him - $45 mil? SUCKERS!!!
Diaz done for the year due to the WBC.
And the Madres getting boinked by the lowly Rocks at home right off the bat, no pun intended.
For all the critics who continue to deride LA for trying to “buy” a World Series title - please see above and kiss my ass!!!
GO DODGERS!!!

I took Realmuto as the catcher on three of my five teams because he steals bases too. Smith starts on the other two.

I like him he puts the ball in play, plus great defense. I hope Vargas hangs out with him and learns how to be a big leaguer.

Dodgers' Bobby Miller: Dealing with shoulder soreness Rotowire 58 MINS AGO Miller will be sidelined to start the minor-league season due to mild shoulder soreness, MLB.com reports.
Miller is in line to make his MLB debut this season if he can pitch well at Triple-A and stay healthy, but he's already dealing with a shoulder issue to start the season. After a dominant spring training on the heels of a spectacular 2022 season, Gavin Stone is looking like the more likely premium Dodgers pitching prospect to join the big-league rotation this summer.
Dodgers' James Outman: Homers, scores three runs Thursday Rotowire 4 HRS AGO Outman went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and three runs scored in Thursday's 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
Making the start in center field on his first MLB Opening Day, Outman took Cole Sulser deep in the sixth inning with a 390-foot shot which was measured at 105 mph off the bat. He also reached on a single and a walk, scoring on each of those occasions. Outman has strikeout concerns and probably isn't going to play against tough lefties, but his power and speed potential makes him worth rostering in deeper formats.
Dodgers' Julio Urias: Defeats Arizona in opener Rotowire 5 HRS AGO Urias (1-0) earned the victory Thursday against the Diamondbacks, yielding two runs on just four hits, no walks and a hit by pitch over six frames in an 8-2 win. He struck out six.
Urias was very efficient, needing just 79 pitches to cover his six frames. He cruised after allowing a single run in each of the first two innings, facing the minimum the rest of the way. Urias debuted a slider-cutter hybrid in the outing, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, with the pitch generating two swinging strikes on eight swings. Some natural regression is coming for Urias following last year's 2.16 ERA, which came with a 3.71 FIP, but he should remain a master at inducing weak contact and perhaps the new pitch can help boost his strikeout total.

Dodgers' Michael Grove: Expected to get multiple starts Rotowire 1 HR AGO Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Grove is expected to get up to three starts if all goes to plan, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Grove was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City after Ryan Pepiot was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left oblique strain. If the right-hander does struggle Monday against the Rockies it's possible the Dodgers could turn to some pitching depth, but it does appear that Grove is going to make multiple starts while Pepiot recovers.
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Bullpen session coming Sunday Rotowire 1 HR AGO Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced that Gonsolin (ankle) will throw a bullpen session before Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
If things go well during that bullpen session, Roberts is hopeful that the right-hander will face hitters at Camelback Ranch in Arizona on Wednesday. Gonsolin is on the injured list with a sprained ankle injury, and if things go well he could return to the Los Angeles rotation by the end of April.
Dodgers' Will Smith: Won't catch Saturday Rotowire 1 HR AGO Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Friday that Smith will not catch Saturday's contest against the Diamondbacks, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
Roberts doesn't want Smith to catch three games in a row in the early part of the year. That means Austin Barnes will be behind the plate for the Dodgers on Saturday, and Roberts says they'll have more right-handed options in the lineup. Smith could end up being the DH, but it's also very possible he'll get a day off after playing in the first two contests.
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Wears platinum sombrero Opening Day Rotowire 3 HRS AGO Muncy went 0-for-5 with five strikeouts in Thursday's 8-2 victory versus the Diamondbacks.
Muncy made some plate adjustments this spring with the hope that he could improve upon his .196/.329/.384 slash line from last season, and his Cactus League results were solid, as he slashed .304/.418/.587 with three homers. The third baseman wasn't able to carry over the positive spring to Thursday, however, as he became just the second major-leaguer in history to strike out five times on Opening Day, per Eric Stephen of SBNation.com. Muncy should have a long leash as a middle-of-the order bat for Los Angeles and will be given plenty of opportunity to bounce back from the season-opening platinum sombrero, but the performance is a reminder to fantasy managers that Muncy has hit below .200 in two of his past three campaigns.

Good to see Max become a part of history. I was just thinking the same as was going to post he was already in mid-season form. Not like AZ is still throwing Randy Johnson out there every inning these days. It’ll be interesting to see how long they keep running him out there if he continues to struggle at the plate. GO DODGERS!!!
