Four games in and the Dodgers are already showing signs of the same old same old ALL or nothing approach.
No reason in this world we shouldn’t be 4 - 0 at this point. The pen blows both games, which not a good sign.
But even worse is Fraudy and Daisy’s typical game plan. No stealing, no hit and run, no sacrifices and God forbid, no bunting.
How’d that work out? Another 0’fer at the plate w/ RISP and eight LOB to follow up Friday’s night of futility.
Not to mention the lowly Snakes actually winning the game yesterday on - wait for it - a BUNT in the ninth.
Gatorade is going to have to do a HELLUVA lot better than giving up four hits and a run in a single inning if he’s deemed to be our primary closer.
I figured we’d be around a .500 team this year. I hope I have to eat those words come September, but so far, so good.
GO DODGERS!!!

He's produced before. He's owed a lot of money. But the things you're talking about are things Vargas can provide. Not Taylor. Friedman needs to adjust to changing times. Several announcers said last year that abolishing the shift won't cut down on strikeouts. I couldn't agree more. Shifts were an opportunity to expand games. Not contract them. If you were a dead pull hitter, now you learn to go the other way & turn singles into doubles. Nope. Guys like Muncy kept swinging away. Even when he was hurt & it was in his own best interests to learn from Freeman. Don Mattingly used to ride Andre Ethier about "wasted" at bats. He was talking about Andre's flailing away like a little girl against lefthanders. I looked up Mattingly's record against lefties. Andre should have listened. Old guys might know something you don't.

Unfortunately, they refuse to acknowledge that the “game of the past” can still be an effective difference between winning and losing, especially in tight games like Friday and yesterday.
I feel for CT3, but if he needs AB’s to get his shit together, perhaps he should spend a few more weeks at OK City.
We went thru three dead spots in the order most of last year and got eliminated by the brown stains. Bells is gone, Maxine is trying to find his sack and CT is simply lost.
When pitchers KNOW going in the holes in the lineup, are they going to serve up fat ones to Mookie, Freddie and Will? Of course not! And why would / should they?
The puppets have had some of the best talent in the league for close to a decade now, and still have only managed one short season title.
And I truly believe without Covid we’d be looking at year 35 without a title because those two idiots would have certainly found a way to screw up that full season as well.
Methinks it is going to be a LONG season with a LOT more games resembling Friday and Sunday as opposed to Thursday and Saturday.
GO DODGERS!!!

Total destruction of the Rox tonight. Looking forward to one or two run loss tomorrow with double digit 0’fers in both hits w/ RISP and LOB.

It's only one game. But Graterol looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Honestly, I don't know how he's on the roster. He might pitch in triple digits but he has trouble missing bats and he often gets hit hard.

Dodgers' Will Smith: Smacks two-run shot in win Rotowire 21 MINS AGO Smith went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and an additional run scored in Monday's victory over the Rockies.
Smith has secured at least one hit in each of his first four starts of the season and has home runs in back-to-back games. The 2016 first-round pick has slashed at least .250/.335/.465 in each of his first four MLB seasons and remains one of the more consistent offensive catchers in the league.
Dodgers' James Outman: Hits two triples in win Rotowire 26 MINS AGO Outman went 2-for-5 with two triples, three RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 13-4 win over the Rockies.
After collecting two hits, including a home run, during Opening Day, Outman was held hitless over the next three games (four at-bats). However, he was back in the starting lineup Monday and notched his first two career triples, including a go-ahead two-run hit in the fifth that ended up being the difference in the game. Outman's versatile skillset makes him an extremely intriguing fantasy option, but his overall value will be tied to how often he can carve out playing time in the Dodgers's crowded outfield.
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Hits dinger in first start Rotowire 33 MINS AGO Heyward went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, an additional RBI and an extra run scored during Monday's 13-4 victory over the Rockies.
Heyward drew his first start of the season with David Peralta getting a day off, and the veteran made the most of it by providing plenty of production at the bottom of the order. The Dodgers reworked Heyward's swing this offseason, and if he can get back to being at least an average hitter, his elite defense will make him a candidate for regular starts in Los Angeles' crowded outfield.
Dodgers' Chris Taylor: Hits first homer of season Rotowire 36 MINS AGO Taylor went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's 13-4 victory over Colorado.
Taylor's first hit of the season was a two-run homer that gave the Dodgers an early 2-0 lead. The versatile right-hander is expected to split time with David Peralta, James Outman and Mookie Betts in the outfield, but Taylor has drawn three straight starts after not playing in the first two games of the season.
Dodgers' Michael Grove: Tosses four innings in season debut Rotowire 45 MINS AGO Grove did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks over four innings against the Rockies. He struck out four.
Grove is filling in for Ryan Pepiot, who was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left oblique strain after initially claiming the Dodgers' final rotation spot. Grove is expected to see at least three starts before Pepiot is cleared, so his fantasy value is limited to the interim. Grove's is slated to pitch again Sunday in Arizona.
Dodgers' Miguel Vargas: Thumb OK after HBP Rotowire 5 HRS AGO Vargas was hit by a pitch on his right thumb Monday, but he stayed in the game and is said to be fine, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. "We'll get it looked at tomorrow," manager Dave Roberts said after the game. "He said it was sore, but full range of motion and strength. So hopefully [Tuesday] he comes in feeling good. He was adamant about staying in the game [Monday]."
A 92-mph fastball from Connor Seabold hit Vargas in the hand in the bottom of the seventh inning, and while Vargas appeared to be in significant pain initially, he shook it off and took his position in the field the next half inning. The Dodgers are off Wednesday and could always give him a couple days if there's swelling in the thumb. Vargas has already drawn nine walks this season, the most in franchise history through the first five games of a season, per Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com.

Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Reaches base four times Monday Rotowire 6 HRS AGO Freeman went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs in Monday's 13-4 victory over Colorado.
Freeman was one of four Dodgers with multiple hits in the win, and he's racked up six base knocks over his past 10 at-bats. Freeman is hitting a robust .421 this season, though his fifth-inning double Monday is his only extra-base hit thus far. The star first baseman has also scored four runs over four games after tying for the NL lead with 117 runs scored last season.
Dodgers' Bobby Miller: Throwing at extended spring Rotowire 6 HRS AGO Miller (shoulder) threw a simulated inning this past Saturday at the Dodgers' spring training complex in Arizona, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Miller came down with some minor shoulder soreness toward the end of camp, but he's now on a build-up program that should allow him to join up with Triple-A Oklahoma City within the next few weeks. The 23-year-old top pitching prospect seems likely to make his MLB debut at some point during the 2023 season, assuming good health.
Dodgers' Ryan Pepiot: Could resume throwing soon Rotowire 6 HRS AGO Pepiot (oblique) could resume throwing as soon as next week, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Pepiot was placed on the 15-day injured list on the morning of Opening Day and lost out on an opportunity to begin the year as a member of the Dodgers' rotation. But his oblique strain is said to be relatively minor, and the hope is that he might be ready for big-league action by the end of April. Tony Gonsolin (ankle) is also tracking toward a late-April return, so Pepiot might be used in long relief initially or even stationed at Triple-A Oklahoma City. Michael Grove currently occupies the final spot in LA's starting mix.

I watched some of the Orioles-Rangers game today, and Heany started and got pounded for 7 ER in 2 innings. Cory Seagar got a solid single as the Orioles won. Heany just had nothing on his pitches and the Orioles battered him.

Maxine is NOT a 3B - dude has ZERO range, backhands every ball to his right like he’s holding a red cape and a bull is rushing him and his arm is mediocre at best.
Not to mention that despite the HR and single tonight he still has a .150 BA with only three hits in four games.
CT3 with another K - dude is completely lost.
Thankfully, our starting five is as strong as ANY rotation in the league and keeping us in every game thus far with both losses coming at the hands of the pen in one run affairs.
GO DODGERS!!!

HP ump must have a late dinner reservation. COMPLETELY MISSED TWO pitches this eighth inning, both of which should have resulted in walks and instead resulted in K’s to Muncy & Thompson.
They got the pitch clock - time to bring in the robots.
