Another writer on FANSIDED asked if the Pirates should take a chance on Bellinger. That's the low rent district. No way Cody gets anywhere near ten million dollars in a third tier market like that. Good luck, Cody. Maybe we get you back if that's the best an open market can do for you. It would be a crowded outfield though. He can still play first too. Which would basically be giving Freeman a blow in late innings. I assume Muncy & Smith will be the primary DH's. I'm sure you watched the movie 42. Kirby Higbe was a pretty good starter for the Dodgers and was an all star. But he demanded a trade cos he refused to be Jackie's teammate and it was to the Pirates. His career was a joke after that.

Aaron Judge expecting to meet with the Giants today. MLB Trade Rumors said they might be in the market for a top shortstop & relief help too. They estimated Judge will get a little over 40 million dollars a year. A top shortstop will likely pull in around 30 million per. Then there's Carlos Rodon. 25 million per?
Are the Dodgers fucking with the Giants' payroll by dropping rumors they're involved?

Some writer on FANSIDED said we need to replace Tyler Anderson. He seemed to be under the impression we could do that for a similar contract. He named Jacob DeGrom, Justin Verlander & Carlos Rodon. Sure... Verlander will get a Max Scherzer type contract. And who wants to pay him that kind of money & hand him a start in the postseason? DeGrom can't stay off the IL. Rodon is the only one that makes sense. Same site. Different story. I didn't notice if it was the same author. This guy said Rodon will be looking for at least 20 million dollars a year. This guy used Zack Wheeler as an example. 5 years & 118 million dollars. How is that comparable to 3 years & 39 million? I really hope the Dodgers have a plan. Right now it looks like Arte Moreno actually robbed the Dodgers. Team is nearing a deal with Kershaw and maybe they'll bring back Heaney since there is nothing out there about him going elsewhere. So, they probably have their #1 Urias, and their #3,#4 and #5 with May, Kershaw, Gonsolin and Heaney. They will probably go out and get a #2 and go in house when Kershaw, Heaney and maybe May and Gonsolin hit the IL. In house they have Grove, Jackson, Pepiot. I think they're alright once they get that #2 or if they go with all these guys until a trade opens up for a #2. Urias May Kershaw Gonsolin Heaney Grove Jackson Pepiot At some point I'd like to see Ferguson get another look as a starter.

Dodgers are definitely messing with SF's payroll.

Dodgers reportedly offered Aaron Judge 214 million dollars. Years & terms weren't mentioned.
That's almost exactly the total I pegged for Trea Turner. It can't be serious unless it's for five years, with automatic extensions for reaching goals. I would think an opt-out clause too.
It really looks like Friedman is screwing with the Giants.

Dodgers News: Arbitrators’ Decision on Trevor Bauer’s Appeal Expected ‘No Earlier Than Next Month’ Then it will be “after the first of the year”. Then by the “end of February”, etc. probably right up until Spring Training or during. The Turd is having a field day with this one. I only hope TB files a MASSIVE law suit against him, MLB - perhaps even the players UNION as they seemed to have turned their back on him as well. GO DODGERS!!!

I think I heard the Yankees offered Judge 337 million. He met with the Giants for hours. Friedman's alleged 214 mil might not cut it.

That $214 might be for like 3 years 🙂 At the end of which Judge gets hurt anyway. His agent would NOT let his client sign that contract. Correction: I thought Judge's agent was Scott Boras. It's Page Odle. Whoever that is.

The Dodgers are reportedly showing interest in Carlos Rodon. This is a can't lose ploy by Friednan. We either get a very good pitcher, or force the Giants to pay more than they wanted.

The Rockies MAY be interested in Cody Bellinger. That's the move Cody & Boras should make. Rebuild his value, cash in, & go back to smoking weed.
