Anderson got three years & $39,000,000. Not a dumb contract at all. Suddenly the Angels' starting rotation looks better. They'll have Ohtani, Patrick Sandoval & Anderson. Guess LA feels like they have enough talent in the minors to fill his spot in the rotation. But damn - that dude was nearly unhittable last year and put up 17 W’s as a starter. Guess they might also be thinking last year was a fluke and he’d be hard pressed to duplicate another season like that. So, we have Kersh, May and Catman and two open spots, which will become three at least a couple of times during the season with Clayton’s usual IL stint(s). That’s going to put a lot of pressure on more than a couple of rookie hurlers. GO DODGERS!!! Don't forget Urias. |

Maybe Art Moreno read my posts about his IQ and has decided to do something about his rotation. After Showtime and Detmers, there's no one to write home about. Thier rotation actually ranked 6th in the bigs, so next year they'll have a three headed monster and winning their division won't be out of the question. |

I DID forget about Eew! Gotta hope May can return to the form he showed his rookie year and before his surgery. He certainly didn’t look like the dominant starter in the few appearances he got in the fall and even though he made both rosters, Daisy must’ve had no confidence in using him in the postseason. Which again goes to question why was he even ON these rosters? Another head scratcher from the Einstein twins. GO DODGERS!!! Daisy finished second to Buck Showalter as Gofer of the Year. Brian Snitker of the Braves was third. I've never read their injury updates. Doc is a master. |

Diego Cartaya, Michael Busch, Andy Pages & Jonny DeLuca have been added to the Dodgers' 40 man roster so they can be protected from next month's Rule 5 draft.

Alcantara wins the Cy Young and sweeps with all 30 first place votes, the first to do so since that dude that throws for LA and just reupped for another year.
Eew finished third behind Max Fried.
I guess I get this. He threw just over three more complete games (27.3 innings) than his nearest competitor.
Eew had more than a few starts that he could have gone another inning or two.
But the two headed monster and their Koran says “five innings is ENOUGH” and that’s it!
GO DODGERS!!!

Tomorrow the Dodgers pick up or don't Bellinger's $18 million. How many years did they hold on to Beltre before he FINALLY developed at the plate? His D was definitely worth the wait and he went on to be an all around stud in Seattle. I fear the same just might happen again with Bells. Whether it’s his previous injuries, his reluctance to listen to coaches and adjust, his hot baby mama and fatherhood or just too much weed, they’ve spent FAR more for FAR less on free agents that got injured or suspended or just shit the bed when they got to LA. I say give him one more year and if he continues to suck at the plate, cut him loose. They could certainly do much worse. I’d rather see them let Max or Rusty go than Bells, but that’s just me. I still think there’s something left in that tank and hate the idea of seeing it break out in Chicago or Toronto. GO DODGERS!!! |
