So, I'm not happy about my #49ers Trey Lance pick. Guy is from a Junior College type program, he ran as much as he threw, was always one or the biggest dude on the field and has only played like 19 games in his college career. I understand going after what you think will be a franchise QB but to give up what they gave up to move into the #3 spot for a guy that needs to be developed when the team is as stacked as it is and can make a run right now is not sitting well with me. Dude is not as electric as Lamar Jackson running so he'll need to sit a while and develop into a passer. If Jimmy G wasn't Mr. Glass then this pick would have gone into an edge rusher, o-linemen or corner which is highly needed. Aaron Rodgers was out there saying he wanted out after Green Bay embarrassed him last year by drafting Jordan Love in the 1st. Rodgers is what everyone wants to be but you have some of the faithful guaranteeing by their crystal ball that this dude will be a top 5 QB in the league and play like 16 or so years. Hope I'm wrong about him but in football established first ballot Hall of Fame QBs like Rodgers don't grow on trees. I hope this guy turns out to be worth 3 first rounders and third because if not as much as I love Shanny and Lynch they need to be blown out right away. Love the 2nd and 3rd pick though.
Anyway, not happy right now and apologies for starting the 2021 thread like this.

Moronic Bengals wasted their #1 pick on him after he played all of nine games as a senior at Oregon. I believe he got hurt in a preseason game and never came back from that injury. My Phins seem to be loading up on both sides of the ball which I believe is smart given all of the picks they accumulated. I’d have preferred the other kid from Alabama at WR with that early pick, but he is small & Miami has not done very well when they’ve picked Heisman winners, so there’s that. I’m still not 100% sold on Tua, so this might be a make or break year for him but I like the direction Flores is going and am still hopeful of getting that second tattoo on my opposite arm before I hit the big oven. GO DODGERS!!!

I've been out & about. How did the Chiefs do? I'm not familiar with their picks but it looks like they're restocking the ranks, adding depth.

GO DODGERS!!! Ah, man the list is long. Total bust JaMarcus Russell #1 overall and Ryan Leaf who while recovering from injury with the Chargers was quarterbacking in a local flag football league. But, no one has had more pain than the poor Browns with those picks. The 'Bama wideout your team picked is pretty good as well and yes would seem to be more durable than the Heisman winner. Dolphins are piling up talent but you guys need Tua to make it work.

So star CB Xavier Howard is skipping mini-camp because he wants to renegotiate the contract extension he just signed two years ago.
Apparently, he feels “underpaid” based on last year’s league leading 10 interceptions and third in votes for Defensive Player of the Year.
He is also now number six on the list of highest paid CB’s league wide. Well boo fucking hoo, Xavien.
NOBODY twisted your arm or put a gun to your head to sign that extension. You got five years at an average of $15 mil per - for about six months of work.
You’re also 27 years old (not washed up, but certainly no spring chicken in the NFL) and have missed almost as many games as you’ve played in due to injuries.
Time to man up and play for what you and the Dolphins agreed to and stop worrying about how much this guy or that guy makes.
Honestly - guys like this make me sick. How much is enough? Anybody with any sense at all could make $15 mil last a lifetime.
Now multiply that by five on top of what he has already earned since coming into the league and we’re talking Powerball lottery millions.
And I believe FL has little to no payroll taxes. Suck it up, Xavien, get your ass to camp and play for what you signed up for.
GO DODGERS!!!

ANOTHER BULLSHIT roughing the passer call against Miami to give the fucking Patsies a first down and now touchdown.
Defender makes a clean tackle at the knees of Mac Jones and it’s called roughing. What the fuck is the defense supposed to do when it comes to tackling a QB?
Blow on him and hope he falls over? They can’t tackle above the shoulders and evidently now below the waist.
I don’t know why they just don’t go ahead and put a fucking flag on them and go full pussy. This shit is getting completely ridiculous.
GO DODGERS!!!

I forgot about the football game! KC came back by outscoring Cleveland 23-7 in the second half. Hill had 197 yards receiving. Mahomes had 3 TD passes. No picks.

Tua carted off the field with rib injury. So much for this season. I think everybody knows I was not a fan of this pick. Multiple broken ankles and broken hip in an area that happens once in a gazillion times. That should have been the reddest of red flags. Maybe he has a bone deficiency? Maybe he’s just fragile and / or very unlucky? Does that scream #1 pick and franchise QB to ANYONE? It certainly did not to me. Amazing that scouts, coaches, GM’s, etc. all probably making 100 times or more what I do annually didn’t see this before WASTING another high pick on an accident waiting to happen. GO DODGERS!!!

Fuck Jackson with that flip into the end zone. Gotta wonder when he’s going to miss that landing and separate his shoulder or break something. Or how much longer coaching and management are going to allow him to do it? Pretty selfish, if you ask me - but as long as it makes the Sportscenter highlights real - isn’t that what’s REALLY important? GO DODGERS!!!

Yikes! Kid for San, oops, LA looks pretty good at QB after a very productive rookie season. To think Miami passed on him to pick “glass boy” Tua infuriates me to no end. We’re 1 - 4 to start the season with Jacoby Brisquette, a guy that has never ever been better than QB3 on any of the previous stops in his non-existent career. How he ascended to QB2 in Miami just goes to show how clueless and fucked up that franchise is. I think I read the other day they’d been through something like 15 or 16 QB’s since Marino retired. Obviously, they’ve yet to find anyone even close to replacing him. Tua wasn’t and isn’t the answer and will likely join Leaf, Quinn, Smith and a host of others as first round QB busts. So sad that a once proud and SB winning franchise with the only perfect season in history hasn’t even sniffed a game in late January / early February for nearly 4 decades! GO DODGERS!!!
