By going 4-1 this postseason, Kershaw now has a winning record in October. 13-12. Congratulations on getting that elusive title.

All the media is talking about is why Cash was stupid enough to take out Snell and how irresponsible JT was for going out on the field celebrating and taking pics without a mask when he's just tested positive. Not much talk about LA winning the World Series. Always gotta be some bullshit to take away from anything the Dodgers accomplish...

Not much talk about LA winning the World Series. Always gotta be some bullshit to take away from anything the Dodgers accomplish... This - 100%! Just watching MLB Tonight and the trio of assholes there are acting like Turner has the Black Plague and infected the entire state of Texas with it. He HAD to be on the field with his teammates. He may never get the shot to celebrate a World Series victory again. His team and manager were comfortable with his presence. So he tested positive after an “inconclusive” earlier. There have been thousands of documented FALSE positives. And it’s not the killer the media have been programmed to report it is. 99.97% recover from it. The season was over. The “bubble protocol” ended with that last K by Urias. No way the Dodgers were going to make one of their stars and major contributors to their season and this series locked away in a room like a rabid animal while they celebrated something they’d been SO close to the last five years. Let Manturd levy his “fines” to Turner and the Dodgers. But give this team the credit it’s due and it’s place in history. Focus on that instead of the possible spread of a virus that most recover from. GO DODGERS!!!

I tend to lean the other way. It's pretty shocking Turner did that. Everything I had seen from him before indicated he wasn't that type of person. His teammates get the virus & take it home with them. Their wives get it. Their children get it. Grandma & Grandpa get it. The grandparents might have pre-existing conditions, like emphysema from smoking. BOTH my parents had emphysema & COPD from smoking. Both were dying from that when something else took them first. Those players are younger than I was then. Stands to reason their folks are younger. Maybe my age now. So something like this could theoretically rob them of 15-20 years of life. And Justin got a picture taken for all that? No. He's lost some of the lofty esteem I held him in. That's a shame. I don't think he's a bad person. But that was a very selfish act. Took some of the luster off their celebration.
Eh. Maybe if Manfred wasn't so snockered he could have prevented it. Did he drive back to his hotel? And whether or not we believe this disease is a hoax or real, it's killing people. Trump was helicoptered to the finest medical facility in the world when he got it. (Pussy). And like our interim president says, one death is too many. It would be horrific to think some kid with asthma died so Ginger could get a photo to put in his album. Lucky Charms hobnobbing with the rest of the team before & during the game notwithstanding (he didn't know then), the symbol that will persist is him coming back on the field after being TOLD he was infected.
Cash WAS stupid. We commented on it in the gameday thread / conversation. The guy was dominating the Dodgers when he was taken out. The Dodgers went from flailing like little girls to victory. I said before the first pitch was thrown the Rays' bullpen sucks. This might be the difference. Glasnow was left in to suck one up for the team despite throwing over 100 pitches & issuing six walks. Then Snell was owning the Dodgers & Cash takes him out. Another poster commented that apparently Dave's retardation was spreading. The difference being we had the bullpen to back up Roberts' seemingly crazy switching. Cash was hoping for a miracle.

I'm willing to bet 1 million dollars that turner will not die,(of covid) neither will anyone on that field with him or anyone else in the world that had contact with him. Be a lion, not a lamb, take the muzzle off and live like a free man, not a slave. And with that I wish everyone a happy off season

Guy went about his business ALL day until the 8th that's like 30 minutes before the game ended. Everyone that was near him on and off the field on both sides were exposed. Yes, he could have stayed locked in quarantined but this is what his whole working life has been about and you expect him to be the kid looking in at the candy store from the outside. So yeah he probably thought WTF I've been around all these people all day doesn't make sense. Even if he isn't on the field those that were exposed went on the field with everyone else that was there so eventually they were going to get exposed. Why didn't MLB say stay off the field Turner has tested positive for COVID? Or better yet why did MLB allow everyone that was exposed on and off the field on both the Dodgers and Rays sides to leave Texas and go back home and not ask them to stay behind until everyone had been properly tested? It's not that hard.

Urias wound up with a 4-0 record, 1 save, 1.10 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, 29 K's, 4 walks & 11 hits allowed in 23.0 innings of postseason work. Nothing special indeed. Only Bumgarner has had 4- 0 record and 1 save in post- season I heard.
