Season hasn’t even started, this is supposed to be a joyous day, Seriously - Who the fuck cares who bats first? Let’s all Try and understand the logic behind it before lashing out. It’s not really a hard concept to understand. If this board is just completely negative all year then I don’t want to participate. I am completely stoked for this game and this season. No one will ruin it for me. We have the best team in the league, you would never know it with some of the comments here. Whatever- do as you like and I’ll do the same. Go Dodgers! BTW - Is anyone sending in for their cardboard cutout at the stadium? I’m doing it tomorrow hopefully. LOL don't blow a gasket bro. We don't all have to agree. Enjoy the game and Go Dodgers 2020! I’m waiting to see if Mary Hart and her oldster are locked into their usual seats behind home plate. I heard some of the field level sections were pretty expensive. Where are you going to be and do you have the prices for each section? GO DODGERS!!! Price is $149 for field level and loge. $299 for pavilion on outfield but it seems those are gone. Haven’t picked my section yet. That’s not too bad for either section. Wouldn’t it be excellent if you ended up sitting next to our old Long Island bud Frank? You could pour Coke and nachos on him every night! GO DODGERS!!! |

Yeah, JT is still productive so why would you say this is his last season with the team. Age 33/34 is when the common human athlete begins to see decline. Can he still be productive after that, sure. But, the Dodgers are going to pay him top dollar for 5/6 more years past an athlete's perceived prime. You make a comparison to Jeter and ARod none hit for both power and average at that age when they were clearly overpaid. Here are their numbers: Jeter age 38-- .316 AVG/ 15 HR...$16 million dollars Jeter age 39-- .190 AVG/ 1 HR...$17 million dollars Jeter age 40-- .256 AVG/ 4 HR...$12 million dollars ARod age 35-- .276 AVG/ 16 HR...$32 million dollars ARod age 36-- .272 AVG/ 18 HR...$29 million dollars ARod age 37-- .244 AVG/ 7 HR...$28 million dollars ARod age 38-- DID NOT PLAY FOR PEDS....$3 million dollars ARod age 39-- .250 AVG/ 33 HR (Could have been on PEDS again)...$22 million dollars ARod age 40-- .200 AVG/ 9 HR...released $21 million dollars ARod age 41-- released $21 million dollars So, we see that while Betts is necessary for the Dodgers he is a necessary EVIL which looks to be over paid at the end. And MANY baseball players have career years in their 30s. You can look up almost any hall of famer and you will see that’s true.
