Apperantly the team is at $220 right now with these deals and we know the threshold is $208. I wonder what other veterans are going, Kike? Taylor? They are saying a starting pitcher. We'll see.

Bulldog is back now, could not stomach the whining and complaining I am sure that went on. Gotta be a little patient, folks. Told ya!!! The deals for the other guys were silly, now we just added an MVP type player. Hope we pay him. I 100% knew there would be a big deal this offseason. What a SICK lineup now. Sorry to see Joc go. Kenta needed to go, he has to start to make his money. I think Price might be good in the NL too, but he doesn’t have to be #1, not even close. Yeah, we got a good starting pitcher and an MVP LF, and it cost us very little. Our team has made several three way trades, and all it cost us was Verdugo and Maeda. I'm sorry to see Verdugo go, but his back is still ailing and he might not be the caliber player he proved to be before his injury. But there's plenty of bright side! We still have Gonsolin, May, Jojo Gray, Lux, and others we feared we'd lose. Oh, and Pederson is now wearing a halo, but the Angels deserved another LH slugging OF and we had a surplus. It would be very sad if we lost Betts to FA next winter. We MUST lock him up. |

I have to say that this isn’t exactly the “blockbuster” trade it’s made out to be. We take on half the albatross contract for Price who likely replaces Kenta in the rotation. We get a one year $27 million rental of Betts who hits a tick over .200 in the postseason, so at least that’s consistent with most of our starters. But are we to believe that the FO is all of a sudden going to change their strategies and pay Mookie $35 mil a year over 12 years (his counter to Boston)? Don’t see that happening. I’d agree with the Dog that the Cole and Rendon deals were absurd, but I certainly wouldn’t start engraving the Dodgers name on the 2020 World Series Champions trophy just yet. I guess I’m just one of those “glass half empty” guys and am tired of seeing the best team of the past decade continue to add onto the 30+ year drought. GO DODGERS!!! |

Maybe he didn't like playing for cheaters. You know now it will be interesting to see if Betts can hit at Dodger Stadium. For his career he hit .319 at Fenway and .285 on the road. With Price one would assume that if he is healthy his numbers might improve pitching at Dodger Stadium and against the NL West. |

The #Angels and #Dodgers still working to finalize their deal that now is expected to include Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling. The Dodgers would send OF Joe Pederson and Stripling to the #Angels for middle infielder Luis Rengifo and two prospects. Still, a lot of moving parts.
