Gammons and Rosenthal saying a Betts trade is inevitable. Could even possibly be as early as today, but they don't have a guess as to which team will get him. Any bets on which team (assuming it's just LA & SD) will land Betts?

Awful game from Jimmy G, Kyle Shanahan miss managed the offensive play calls and Robert Saleh kept rushing 4 all game. Chiefs took the blows and figured how to win late. Chiefs are good but the salary cap gets everyone trying for dynasties. Mahomes will need to get paid this off- season. I don't think he deserved the MVP. Probably Tyreek Hill dude was taking the top off with his speed. |

Yes, they have a lot of room under the threshold but I don't see them taking on $59 million for Betts and Price. I don't see them trading away valuable prospects for 1 year of Betts and 3 years of Price plus their money. Obviously if Boston pays some of the money then they will want even better prospects. I just don't see the Padres as real players in this. Their only motivation is to up the Dodgers price in my opinion. It was reported that their is disagreement within the Dodger organization as to whether take on Price or not for Betts. That report only proved my thinking right that it's Price holding up the deal. Friedman shouldn't panic and I think he knows it. There aren't that many teams that will take on Betts for 1 year, pay his $27 million and give up prospects. I hope Friedman stands firm and gives up Joc + Pollock + Gray + Ferguson or Stripling or something like that. I saw something that it was Verdugo, Downs, and Ferguson. |

Jeter Downs doesn't seem to have a future in our organization, so I'd trade him, and Ferguson, and maybe Pederson or Pollock. The Sox will want a vet for sure. And I'd trade EITHER Gonsolin or May. I'm not too sure about Price, since he's getting up in years. I'd say that our trading for Mike Clevenger was a pipe dream, since he's the ace of the Tribe's rotation. There has to be another good starter who's had a few years of experience who's ready to make it big we could deal for. |

He's said that he'll test the market after the season and that is why the Sox are trying to move him for one. I agree that Downs is expendable as well as Ferguson, Joc, and Pollock. I wouldn't do May or Gonsolin. They haven't even entered arbitration yet. Now I would do Urias or Gray if they swapped Sale but first he would have to go through all the tests for me to sign- off on it. Apparently Price had an elbow issue last year as well. We have to understand that with the Sox they have to trade Betts and will try to unload Price. So for me there is no way I'd give them a top prospect other than Downs. As for another good ace type I'd say wait until the deadline when the Mets might be selling Syndergaard or the Sox Sale if healthy. |

Bulldog is back now, could not stomach the whining and complaining I am sure that went on. Gotta be a little patient, folks. Told ya!!! The deals for the other guys were silly, now we just added an MVP type player. Hope we pay him.
I 100% knew there would be a big deal this offseason. What a SICK lineup now.
Sorry to see Joc go. Kenta needed to go, he has to start to make his money. I think Price might be good in the NL too, but he doesn’t have to be #1, not even close.
