Great job, Cody. I wonder if Cody every duplicates this season, I sure hope so. The HR and RBI will be there, not so sure about the BA. Anyway, that was one of the best seasons ever by a Dodger. Beltre and of course Snider are right there. Campy, Piazza & Tommy Davis. I was too young to remember Davis' 1962 season. Just my eyes bugging out when I read it on a bubblegum card. 230 hits & 153 RBI's. He's still our only batting champ.

Yeah, I thought of Campy, forgot about Pizza. He's up there too. Tommy Davis, great season too.
Shawn Green just a notch below too.
Gun to my head I probably go with Duke.

Amazing he didn't. Perhaps his best season he ever had he finished 4th. 1953-54 were Duke's best seasons. Without looking, he might have garnered the most votes in 1955. Snider was the best all around player the Dodgers ever had.

Still remember that four HR game. Had one of my jerseys with MY last name & number 6 on it at a game here back when Shawn was playing. Had some numbnut Reds fan say “hey - you spelled the last name wrong” to me. And I’m like “yeah, put the wrong number on it, too”. DOH!!! GO DODGERS!!!

What the hell is this? It's from the Dodgers' home page, & written by Ken Gurnick. He's usually very reliable. About Cody Bellinger...
'The 24-year-old recorded career highs in runs (121), hits (170), doubles (34), home runs (47), RBIs (115), walks (95) and stolen bases (15), while slashing .305/.406/.629 with a 1.035 OPS. He finished fourth in the Majors with 47 homers and broke the franchise home record for home runs previously held by Gil Hodges and Duke Snider.'
Say what? Right off the top of my head are Shawn Green (49) & Adrian Beltre (48). The most Hodges ever hit was 42 & Snider had a 43 homerun season. There's no tie there. There IS a tie with Snider & that chronic malcontent Gary Sheffield though. Who am I missing? Anyone?
For the longest time Frank Howard held the LA Dodgers' single season record with 31 dingers. I remember that because Jimmy Wynn broke that mark in 1974 with 32. Then Garvey had 33 in 1977. Pedro Guerrero tied that in 1985 (?) with 33. Then Piazza finally broke the Dodgers' cherry with 40 in 1996 or 1997. Sheffield followed shortly thereafter with 43. Green had 49 & 42 in back to back seasons. Beltre had that steroid fueled 48 bomb season in 2004.
Really wish these guys would fact check first.

He said franchise “home” record, as if that stat was relevant.
No idea how many home runs hodges and snider had at home in any given season. I guess it was less than the 27 by Cody ( had to look that up).

Think I found it.
Duke had 25 HRs at home in 1956 and Hodges 25 at home in 1954. I only looked at their splits for their best overall HR year for each.

Good point. Beltre had 25 in 2004 also.

So it looks like Cody finally slipped one by the goalie and knocked up his latest tart du jour.
In all fairness to Bells, he has been seeing this one since last year and she was with him in the bubble during the World Series in Texas.
You’d think in this day and age that both of them would be a bit more educated and there are certainly plenty of contraceptives available to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
I don’t believe it was planned based on what I have read or seen - both appeared fairly surprised by the news.
She’s certainly no dog - a bit skinny for my taste. But he’s been with at least a couple in the past that blew her doors off.
GO DODGERS!!!

Don't know. One thing I had always thought was that he would be the one to let go and Seager the one to keep. I don't think his bat warrants a huge deal even after he levels off. For a left hander he sure has an ugly swing. With Trea now on board they both probably leave 👋

Might be time for Bells to take a break from the ganj. In an interview with Ginger, as he was explaining to Cody about dressing up as Chippendale dancers, Bells wanted to know why chipmunks (Chip and Dale) would be wearing bow ties, no shirts and shirt cuffs with cuff links.
GO DODGERS!!!
