Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Slugs first career homer
Rotowire 9H ago
Lux went 3-for-4 with a double and solo home run Tuesday against the Orioles.
Lux had a strong day at the plate after having gone hitless in each of his last four appearances. The big shot came in the fifth inning, when he launched a home run to center field for his first career long ball. Currently slotted atop the depth chart at second base, Lux should continue to get regular at-bats as he adjusts to his first taste of big-league pitching. Through just seven games, he's managed a .250/.333/.458 line while working three free passes as opposed to only five strikeouts.

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Drives in five
Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Seager went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI on Tuesday against the Orioles.
Seager paced the Dodgers' offense Tuesday, first driving a 419-foot three-run homer in the first frame. He followed that up with a two-run shot just two innings later, bringing his season total to 16. While his overall body of work has been a disappointment, Seager now has three long balls in his past seven starts. He'll look to keep improving on his .263/.329/.463 line to close the campaign.

Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Earns 13th win
Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Buehler (13-3) allowed four hits and no walks while striking out 11 across seven innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Orioles.
Buehler took advantage of a favorable matchup, sitting down 21 Orioles on just 91 pitches. He generated a very impressive 19 swinging strikes to secure his second 11-strikeout performance in his last three starts. It was also a continuation of his stellar season, as he now owns a 3.14 ERA and 1.02 WHIP while striking out 201 batters across 166.1 innings. He's likely to make his next start either Sunday on the road versus the Mets or next Tuesday at home versus Tampa Bay.

Dodgers' Matt Beaty: Out against lefty
Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Beaty is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Orioles.
He heads to the bench with southpaw John Means on the hill for Baltimore. David Freese starts at first base while hitting second.
Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Sits against southpaw
Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Pederson is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Orioles.
He will head to the bench with lefty John Means on the hill for Baltimore. Chris Taylor is starting in right field and hitting third.
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Out of Wednesday's lineup
Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Lux is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Orioles.
He was supposed to sit Tuesday but was a late add after Justin Turner (ankle) was scratched. After getting added to the starting nine he proceeded to go 3-for-4 with his first big-league home run, and is now hitting .250/.333/.458 in his first 24 at-bats. Enrique Hernandez starts at the keystone with lefty John Means on the hill for Baltimore.
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Out of Wednesday's lineup
Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Turner (ankle) is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Orioles.
Turner has been out since Sept. 7 although X-rays on his ankle were negative. It's unclear if he is day-to-day or a little worse than that. Jedd Gyorko will start at third base and hit eighth.

Dodgers' Max Muncy: To be activated Friday Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Muncy (wrist) will be activated prior to Friday's game against the Mets, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
This had been the hope, and now we have confirmation that Muncy is expected to be ready to return this weekend. He is already flying to New York to meet the team there for the three-game series. In the meantime, Matt Beaty and David Freese are platooning at first base.
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Role unclear
Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
It is unclear when Gonsolin will pitch next after it was announced that Hyun-Jin Ryu will start Saturday's game against the Mets.
The Dodgers are piggybacking Ross Stripling and Dustin May on Wednesday and then Rich Hill, Clayton Kershaw, Ryu and Walker Buehler will start the next four games. Gonsolin will likely be available to relieve Ryu on Saturday, but it's unclear if he will make anymore starts in the near future.
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Starting Saturday against Mets Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Ryu will start Saturday's game against the Mets, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
He has convinced manager Dave Roberts that his recent struggles are more about mechanics than fatigue, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports. Ryu has a 9.95 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in 19 innings over his last four starts.
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Headed for MRI on ankle Rotowire Sep 11, 2019
Turner will have an MRI on his sore left ankle, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
X-rays were inconclusive, but the ankle is still causing Turner discomfort so the Dodgers want to get to the bottom of the issue. Given that he needs an MRI Wednesday or Thursday, it seems unlikely that he would be able to return prior to this weekend's series against the Mets, at the earliest. The Dodgers have already won the NL West, so they can afford to be patient with Turner. Jedd Gyorko is starting at third base and hitting eighth Wednesday.

Dodgers' Rich Hill: Suffers MCL strain
Rotowire Sep 13, 2019
Hill has been diagnosed with a left MCL strain, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Hill was making his first start since returning from a strained forearm, and he could be headed right back to the IL after suffering a left MCL strain in the first inning against Baltimore. The veteran suffered the exact same injury in spring training, and it sidelined him until the end of April. His status for the remainder of the season and the postseason is in jeopardy at this point.

My GOD but Hill is fragile. Thankfully his contract is about up. Would have liked to have him and his experience in the postseason, but from blisters to his knee to his arm and now back to his knee, he has spent a good deal of his LA career on the D, oops, I mean IL. I apologize to all the offended disabled posters here! GO DODGERS!!!

My GOD but Hill is fragile. Thankfully his contract is about up. Yeah, pretty sad to end a career this way, but hey, he's just about 40 isn't he? He's been great for us when he's been healthy. And next year's rotation could be Keshaw, Buehler, Ryu, Gonsolin, and Stripling. But who knows, maybe we'll import a starter

Talking about how this wasn't the 'Dodger Way' when Peter O'Malley owned the team. No, the Dodger Way back then was Steve Howe & Darryl Strawberry sucking on a glass pipe, Dusty Baker being trailed by a private detective, Pedro Guerrero chasing his girlfriend down the street with a gun, probably both Eric Karros & Mike Piazza roiding, Peter's father moving the team from Brooklyn, Al Campanis putting his foot in his mouth on Nightline, etc. Plaschke lives in a little world of his own design.
