Dodgers' Rich Hill: Ready to return
Rotowire 10H ago
Hill (forearm) will return from the 60-day injured list to start Thursday in Baltimore, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Hill missed most of April with a knee injury and only made it into mid-June before being shut down with a forearm strain. He's finally ready to get back on the mound, though he'll likely be limited at first, as he's only gotten up to 30 pitches in a simulated game Friday. He'll have time to make four starts before the end of the regular season as he prepares to help the Dodgers in October.

Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Skipping next start Rotowire 10H ago
Ryu's next turn in the rotation will be skipped, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
The Dodgers have little reason to overwork Ryu down the stretch due to their 18-game division lead. The 161.2 innings he's thrown thus far this season are the most he's thrown since 2013 and are already nearly double his total from last season. He's expected to start three more times before the regular season ends. It's not yet clear who will make a spot start in his place.

Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Rejoining rotation Saturday Rotowire 43M ago
Gonsolin will start Saturday's game against the Giants.
An off day Thursday allowed the Dodgers to temporarily reshuffle their rotation, resulting in ace Clayton Kershaw moving ahead of Gonsolin in the pitching schedule. The rookie will rejoin the rotation Saturday on seven days' rest and will continue to stake his claim to a spot on the Dodgers' postseason roster. Through his first six outings in the big leagues (five starts), Gonsolin has posted a 2.89 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB in 28 innings.

Gurnick reports that Turner won appeal and will not serve a 1 game suspension for allegedly bumping umpire. Still will pay fine.

Dodgers' Edwin Rios: Recalled by Dodgers
Rotowire Sep 10, 2019
Rios was recalled by the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Manager Dave Roberts said a last week that Rios wouldn't be called up, but there's evidently been a change of plans. The 25-year-old hit .270/.340/.575 for Triple-A Oklahoma City this season and posting a strong .286/.419/.571 line in 17 games for the Dodgers earlier in the year, though it's not clear whether there's room to give him regular opportunities down the stretch.

No point in pitching him much more for the regular season.

Good eye from the team turning him into a starter from relieving. In that game he started the game against the Gnats, it looked like he wouldn't be long for the game, but he really turned it around like a vet instead of a rookie, though he was pulled after the 4th inning after 88 pitches, something like 36 of them in the first inning and allowed only that one run. He looks like a can't-miss for the rotation next year.

Dodgers' Justin Turner: X-rays return negative Rotowire 9H ago
Turner (ankle) underwent X-rays on Tuesday which came back negative, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Turner was set to rejoin Tuesday's lineup from the sore ankle but later scratched and underwent the X-rays. The 34-year-old won't immediately undergo an MRI, but he could receive one if there's no noticeable improvement. The team didn't make any declarations, but Turner seems like a good bet to be held out again Wednesday.
