Lakers' Danny Green: Plays role to perfection Wednesday Rotowire 10 HRS AGO Green totaled 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-8 3Pt), four rebounds, three blocks, two steals and one assist in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 116-98 victory over the Heat.
Green continues to pop up on the injury report but was able to contribute on both ends of the floor during Wednesday's emphatic victory. This kind of production is the exact reason the Lakers acquired Green and he certainly demonstrated his championship pedigree. With the Heat possibly moving forward without one, or even two players, the Lakers will be looking to assert their dominance in Game 2 on Friday.
Lakers' LeBron James: Teases triple-double in Game 1 win Rotowire 10 HRS AGO James amassed 25 points (9-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 13 rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 116-98 Game 1 victory over Miami.
James was locked in from the opening tip, guiding the Lakers to a comfortable victory and a 1-0 lead in the Finals. Anthony Davis has shouldered the bulk of the scoring in recent times, affording James the opportunity to run the team. The fact that 25 points is viewed as merely a serviceable scoring night for James speaks volumes about what we have come to expect from the three-time NBA Champion. Look for him to continue his dominance when the two teams meet again in Game 2 on Friday.
Lakers' Anthony Davis: Heaps misery on Heat in Game 1 Rotowire 10 HRS AGO Davis finished with 34 points (11-21 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 10-10 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 116-98 victory over the Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Davis had his way with the Heat, pouring in a game-high 34 points with relative ease. After a tight first quarter, the Lakers took over and never looked back, taking a 1-0 series lead. Bam Adebayo (shoulder) left the game prematurely and was unable to return. That left the Heat with very little in the way of internal defensive stoppers, allowing Davis free rein inside the paint. Game 2 will be Friday, and the Lakers will be looking to ride this momentum as they chase another NBA title.

Lakers up 2-0 now, after a 124-114 win. Lebron & Davis combined for 65 points, 23 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals & 1 blocked shot. Rondo came off the bench & contributed 16 points & 10 assists.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Accurate from field in Game 2 win Rotowire 5 HRS AGO Davis recorded 32 points (15-20 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 14 rebounds, an assist and a steal in 40 minutes during Friday's 124-114 win over the Heat in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
Davis topped the 30-point mark for the fifth time in his last seven games, but he only missed five shots all night and looked absolutely dominant on the paint against a Heat defense that missed Bam Adebayo (neck) a great deal. Davis has settled himself as the Lakers' top scoring threat in the current playoffs, scoring 29.3 points per game on 57.9 shooting from the field and 39.1 percent from three-point range across 17 postseason contests.
Lakers' LeBron James: Nears triple-double once again Rotowire 5 HRS AGO James delivered 33 points (14-25 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-5 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists, a steal and a block in 39 minutes during Friday's 124-114 win over the Heat in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
James has flirted with triple-doubles in each of his last five playoff games, reaching that feat twice but averaging 30.4 points, 11.4 rebounds and 9.4 dimes per game in that five-game stretch. James has been a fantasy stud across most formats of late and, even though that's not surprising by any means, his ability to impact the game on both ends of the court at age 35 continues to amaze. He has cracked the 25-point plateau while grabbing at least nine boards and dishing out at least eight dimes in each of his last five games.
Lakers' Rajon Rondo: Dishes out 10 dimes Rotowire 5 HRS AGO Rondo registered 16 points (5-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 assists and four rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench during Friday's 124-114 win over the Heat in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
Rondo has been a reliable contributor for the Lakers during the current postseason run and the Lakers have gone 10-2 since his playoff debut. Rondo posted his second double-double of the current postseason run and is averaging 9.5 points and 7.2 assists per game while shooting an impressive 44.7 percent from three-point range -- for his standards -- in only 24.4 minutes per game so far.

I smell a sweep. GO DODGERS!!! Not quite. Lakers' Markieff Morris: Drills five threes off bench Rotowire 20 HRS AGO Morris had 19 points (6-13 FG), 5-11 3PT, 2-3 FT), six rebounds and two assists in Sunday's Game 3 loss to the Heat. Morris was one of the few bright spots for the Lakers, who shot just 43.0 percent as a team and committed 19 turnovers in the loss. Morris' five three-pointers were his second-most in any game this season (seven 3PM vs. CHI on Dec. 21). Lakers' Danny Green: Off again from three Rotowire 20 HRS AGO Green had just two points and missed all six of his field goals (0-4 3PT, 2-2 FT) in Sunday's Game 3 loss to the Heat. The veteran continues to be a liability on offense, and his struggles were only amplified Sunday with the Heat staying in zone for most of the game. Green played just 17 minutes -- easily his lowest total of the postseason. Over the last two games, he's hit just one of 12 three-point attempts.

Lakers' Kyle Kuzma: Scores 19 off bench Rotowire 20 HRS AGO Kuzma had 19 points (6-13 FG, 5-11 3PT, 2-3 FT) and three rebounds in Sunday's Game 3 loss to the Heat.
It was a typical up-and-down game for Kuzma, but he showed well on the offensive end, hitting four threes against the Heat's zone defense. Kuzma's 19 points set a new playoff career high, and his four made threes were his most in any game since Game 4 against Portland on Aug. 24.
Lakers' Anthony Davis: Tough night in Game 3 loss Rotowire 21 HRS AGO Davis had 15 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3PT, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals in Sunday's Game 3 loss to Miami.
Coming off of dominant performances in Games 1 and 2, Davis had perhaps his worst game of the entire postseason Sunday. Dealing with double-teams for most of the night, Davis never figured out the Heat's zone defense, resulting in five turnovers and an overall apathetic offensive performance. Davis had just one rebound at the half, and for the second straight game, he struggled to get to the foul line. In 33 minutes, Davis finished as a team-worst minus-26.
Lakers' LeBron James: Struggles in fourth quarter Rotowire 21 HRS AGO James had 25 points (9-16 FG, 1-5 3PT, 6-9 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists and two blocks in Sunday's Game 3 loss to the Heat.
While James salvaged a near-triple-double, it was an overall disappointing performance, as he turned the ball over eight times and made several key errors in the fourth quarter. James hit just one of his five attempts from beyond the arc, and he never appeared comfortable attacking the Heat's zone, even when switched onto Tyler Herro or Duncan Robinson. Win or lose, James is a threat for a triple-double on any night, but the Lakers will need more from the MVP-runner-up in Game 4 on Tuesday.

Maybe the NBA is hoping with more games they might improve on their dismal TV ratings? GO DODGERS!!!

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Bounces back in Game 4 Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Davis registered 22 points (8-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks and a steal in 42 minutes during Tuesday's 102-96 win over the Heat in Game 4 of the 2020 NBA Finals.
Davis had a tough night in Game 3 scoring just 15 points -- his lowest scoring output in the current postseason run -- but he bounced back in Game 4, making an impact on both ends of the court and drilling a key three-pointer that iced the game for good in the final minutes of the game. Davis only has one double-double in his last eight playoff games but has focused more on his scoring of late, averaging 27.8 points per game while shooting 56.9 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from three-point range during that eight-game span.
Lakers' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Scores 15 points in win Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Caldwell-Pope notched 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt), five assists and three rebounds in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 102-96 win over the Heat in Game 4 of the 2020 NBA Finals.
Caldwell-Pope has one job in the Lakers offense -- he needs to drill the open looks the offense draws for him. He has been excellent in that department of late, scoring in double digits in nine of his last 11 games while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range in that span. He has scored in double digits in three of his four Finals games, and the Lakers have won every time he's done it in the current series.
Lakers' LeBron James: Stuffs stat sheet in win Rotowire 2 HRS AGO James had 28 points (8-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 12 rebounds, eight assists and a steal in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 102-96 win over the Heat in Game 4 of the 2020 NBA Finals.
James is yet to record a triple-double in the current 2020 NBA Finals, but he has been two assists shy of reaching that feat in each of his last two games. James has also scored at least 25 points in each of his last eight postseason appearances as well, and the star forward continues to be the engine that keeps the Lakers going on both ends of the court. That alone makes him an excellent alternative for DFS formats even if he has an off night from the floor from time to time.

They lose 111-108. Three pointers again. The Lakers were trailing by one with about five seconds to go. LeBron tried penetrating but was trapped along the baseline. He kicked it out & the shooter (Pope?) was wide open. He could have stepped up almost to the free throw line. But he took the three pointer when they only needed a two. He missed & the last couple seconds were just prolonging the inevitable.
On to game 6.

Lakers' LeBron James: Probable for Game 6 Rotowire 18 HRS AGO James (groin) is probable for Sunday's Game 6 against the Heat.
James continues to show up as probable on the injury report due to a groin injury that's bothered him for much of the playoffs. He's coming off a masterful Game 5, though the Lakers weren't able to secure the win and now only lead 3-2 to a short-handed Heat team. In the series, James is averaging 30.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 1.2 steals.
Lakers' Danny Green: Probable for Game 6 Rotowire 18 HRS AGO Green is probable for Sunday's Game 6 due to a left ring finger injury.
Green had recently been dealing with a hip injury, but now it seems like he's aggravated the finger injury he was playing through earlier in the series. Still, the three-and-D wing is expected to play in Game 6 with the Lakers up 3-2. Against the Heat, Green is averaging 6.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 22.8 minutes.
Lakers' Anthony Davis: Says he'll be fine for Game 6 Rotowire 18 HRS AGO Davis, who aggravated a right heel contusion during Friday's Game 5, said he'll "be fine" for Sunday's Game 6 against the Heat, Dave McMenamin of ESPN reports. Davis is officially listed as probable.
Davis was clearly in pain after suffering the injury and spent some time on the bench recovering. However, he eventually came back into the game and played through it, finishing with 28 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks in 42 minutes. It seems like he'll be playing through pain again Sunday, which could limit his performance. However, with the Lakers now only up 3-2, Davis will still likely play 40-plus minutes as the Lakers look to avoid a Game 7.

Lakers up by 28 at the half. Sounds insurmountable. It's the NBA though. No premature celebrations over here.
