Paul Daugherty: Can Yasiel Puig be the one to bring life back to the Cincinnati Reds?
Paul Daugherty, Cincinnati Enquirer Published 3:48 p.m. ET March 3, 2019
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Yasiel Puig discusses his transition to the team and re-signing with the Reds beyond the 2019 season. Kareem Elgazzar, kelgazzar@enquirer.com
"To be good at this game, you've gotta have a lot of little boy in you.’’ –Roy Campanella
GOODYEAR, AZ – Yasiel Puig doesn’t know Roy Campanella. The Wild Horse understands the quote, though. “I like that expression,’’ he said. “When I play the game, I have more than one little boy inside me.’’...
(Am I the only one who finds that comment disturbing?).

Kemp begins the year 1-20 with 10 K's. No homeruns & no RBI's.
Puig is 4-28. No homeruns & 3 RBI's.
Alex Wood is on the DL.
Kyle Farmer is 0-5 with 3 strikeouts.
The Reds are 1-7.

My mistake. Farmer hit a homerun today. He's now 1-9 with one homer & 2 RBI's.

Reds' Yasiel Puig: Back from suspension
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Puig has been reinstated from his two-game suspension and will start in right field and bat third in Thursday's game against the Marlins.
Rather than appealing his suspension for inciting a brawl in Sunday's series finale with the Pirates, Puig chose to serve the two-game ban right away. Puig's absence opened up a pair of starts for Matt Kemp in the first two games of the series with the Marlins, but there will be room for both players in the outfield Thursday with Scott Schebler receiving a maintenance day for the matinee game.

Reds' Yasiel Puig: Hits two-run double
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Puig went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a stolen base in a 5-0 victory against the Marlins on Thursday.
The 28-year-old is off to a very slow start, but his two-run double is a start in the right direction. Puig also swiped his first bag of the year Thursday. But he is just 5-for-34 (.147) with five RBI and no runs in 11 games this season.

Well Kemp got released this last weekend. I really don't wish him anything bad and all but the Reds got hosed in this deal and I think they realize it. Puig should be gone at the trade deadline.

Homer Bailey, the guy we released and are paying $20 million to play for someone else (and another $5 mil next year) now 4 - 3 with Kansas City,
His near five ERA has come down significantly from his first three games where it was way up in the double digits, primarily due to his first start of the year when he gave up nine or ten runs in just two or three innings.
Beat the once great Jake Arietta tonight.
GO DODGERS!!!

Rangers' Elvis Andrus: Placed on injured list 19M ago • By RotoWire Staff
Andrus landed on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring strain Wednesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. Andrus left Tuesday's game after pulling up with the hamstring injury while running to first base. The issue was evidently serious enough that he'll require at least 10 days to rest. Willie Calhoun was recalled to take his place on the roster, with Logan Forsythe expected to serve as the primary shortstop in his absence.
