Looks like LA is acquiring Joe Smelly back from the White Sox. Another perfect fit for our pen with his just under five ERA. We also get a 36 year old starter Lance Lynn who boasts an ERA just under six and a half and has given up more HR’s than any other starter in the league. Froggy must have overdone it on the mushrooms because his “acquisitions” thus far have been far from game changers. GO DODGERS!!! Oh right, you always did have a grudge against Kelly, but you never know, back in his old stomping grounds. I've always liked Lynn, despite his very high ERA. He's a vet pitcher and knows his stuff, and being on a new winning team, he just might turn it around, you never know. Now Emmit can be sent back down, but I see he's starting tonite. What the hell! I liked Kelly’s “attitude”, especially when he stuck his tongue out and taunted that batter (can’t even remember who it was). What I didn’t like about him was his pitching abilities. He was nearly untouchable in a blow out or when we were down a bunch. But in a tight game, he was infamous for putting guys on and while every now and then he’d work his way out of it, more times than not he wouldn’t. I TRULY hope you’re right about Lynn AND maybe Kelly can have some type of resurrection back in LA. But sometimes, despite our coaching and best efforts, guys like this cannot be fixed. Look no further than Thor this year. I don’t see anything Froggy has done thus far as game changers. GO DODGERS!!!

Mad Max Scherzer to the Rangers from the Mutts. Hmmm - didn’t work out too well the last time Texas went after and signed a pitcher from New York.
Hope Maxine doesn’t suffer another “dead arm”.

Max Scherzer trade: Mets send struggling ace to Rangers for top shortstop prospect, Ronald Acuńa Jr.'s brother
The Rangers have added a hopefully sturdy arm to their rotation for a stretch run to the playoffs
By R.J. Anderson 2 hrs ago • 2 min read
The Texas Rangers and New York Mets have completed a trade that will send Max Scherzer westward. As part of the agreement, Scherzer has opted into his contract for next season, which will see him make more than $43 million. The Rangers will be on the hook for only $22.5 million total, however, with the Mets footing the rest of the bill. In return, the Mets gain shortstop Luisangel Acuña, the 21-year-old younger brother of Braves' Ronald Acuña Jr. All of that is according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

They assembled the best rotation money can buy but both Maxy and Jason have pitched like stiffs this year and the Muts are 6 games under .500 and in 4th place. THey need the sons of Tom Seaver, Dwight Gooden and Jerry Koosman in that rotation. Today I think I'll do a search for a Mets fan forum like ours.

Why would the Monks be shopping their big 3 after locking them up last year? Did they overextend themselves or what? The Monks are 9 games out but in 4th place, giving them a little more than a snowball's chance in hell of winning the division so why shop any of them? Just like the Muts, the Monks are under-achievers.

Prelier and the Stains, feeling cocky after sweeping the Rangers over the weekend, have added our old friend 43 year old Rich Hill and first baseman Choi in a trade with the Pirates.
Then they turn around and lose to the lowly Rockies last night. HYSTERICAL!!! They haven’t won four in a row all season.
They are still hanging by a thread and are tied for the last wildcard with the Brew Crew, however, if they were to secure that final spot, they’d face the local up and coming Redlegs in Cincinnati as their opener.
As I have previously stated, I wouldn’t want to face that team in a three game series.
They came back in the first two games here in Cincy against us and fairly decent late inning leads. The only game LA won here was Kershaw’s Thursday afternoon shut out gem.
And they pretty much kicked our asses last weekend in LA, losing only due to the two HR’s (and ONLY hits) by Maxine.
GO DODGERS!!!

Noah Syndergaard was pretty effective his first start for Cleveland. Then he gave up four homers in his second.
