This is a different Cody Bellinger. During his now 12 game hitting streak, he has 3 doubles & 1 homerun. He's learning to work within his limitations.
How different history might have been except for one stupid high five celebration.

The bastard is hitting .303. I wonder how many swings finish with him uppercutting on one knee.

Imagine if we still had both of these guys this year. We probably would have already buried most of the division. GO DODGERS!!!

Barnes isn't a full-time player. He doesn't qualify. The arbitration system reinforced Cody's delusions of safety & continuity. If you performed like he did on YOUR job, you would probably be fired. Bellinger got raises. Being cut loose by the Dodgers & signed to a one year contract, the former MVP finally realized how precarious life can be. Especially for a professional athlete, whose career is already extremely finite. You either produce or learn a new trade. I wish him well, while also lamenting it took this to wake him up. It wouldn't have happened here. BUT he can come back if he keeps it up. He HAS to see the Dodgers' position in this. He forced their hand.

Justin Turner's stats as a Red Sock? .290/14/56/.475/.836. We should've kept him. He's a major force in the Red Sox offense.

Just saw man bun Kimbrel blow his 16 scoreless inning streak and first save of the year on a moon shot by David Fry.
He had just induced a ground ball double play. Looks like there’s a new vulture in town.

Another blown save and L today for Vulture Boy. Today to the Orange Birds.
Absolutely LOVE seeing this.

Looks like LA is acquiring Joe Smelly back from the White Sox. Another perfect fit for our pen with his just under five ERA.
We also get a 36 year old starter Lance Lynn who boasts an ERA just under six and a half and has given up more HR’s than any other starter in the league.
Froggy must have overdone it on the mushrooms because his “acquisitions” thus far have been far from game changers.

Oh right, you always did have a grudge against Kelly, but you never know, back in his old stomping grounds. I've always liked Lynn, despite his very high ERA. He's a vet pitcher and knows his stuff, and being on a new winning team, he just might turn it around, you never know. Now Emmit can be sent back down, but I see he's starting tonite. What the hell!
