Got my holster the other day. The smell of leather is thick throughout this household. I put bullets in the gun belt first. To loosen it up. Next is putting the gun in the holster & putting that under my mattress. It makes the holster mold to the gun.
Armando tried it on & didn't realize it was lefthanded. I said you could put it in the middle. Like Val Kilmer did in Tombstone, when he shot Johnny Ringo.
Ringo is mentioned in my book about John Wesley Hardin. Ringo made a name for himself in the Mason County War. Remember the beginning of the movie Tombstone, where they narrator says they were a band of Texas outlaws?
A guy everyone called "Cowboy Ron" used to come into a bar I worked at. I gave him Wyatt Earp's autobiography & a really neat Stetson cowboy hat I had. It was so sad to hear he died. But he left me with a wanted poster for Wyatt Earp.

That is nice. I have a titanium Eco Drive from the early 90’s that up and died on me a few years ago. A local jeweler & Citizen dealer advised it was unrepairable. Went on-line and found that despite their claim of never needing winding or a battery, they actually DO have a battery that will go dead. Found a place to send it to and for @ $100, she came back in full working order and has been going strong ever since. I keep it in direct sunlight in my office every day I don’t wear it. Tells time in @ 20 different zones, chronograph, stop watch - all the goodies. One of my favs. Wifey got it for me for Christmas early in our marriage. Still hinting to her about a Rolex for my upcoming retirement, if that ever happens before I’m oven bound! GO DODGERS!!!

I think I'd be mildly pissed off at that local jeweler. Certainly never do business with him again.

I think I'd be mildly pissed off at that local jeweler. Certainly never do business with him again. He’s a friend of my wife’s and we’ve given him quite a bit of business over the years, so I was more than a bit surprised when he advised it was unrepairable. Weird thing is he had the watch for over a month and “supposedly” sent it to Citizen for repair and THEY were the ones that said it was a goner. Maybe they didn’t want to acknowledge that their “lifetime” watch DOES indeed have and need a battery replacement at some point - who knows? It makes sense that “something” was making this watch go that would eventually wear out. I got a little better than 30 years out of that original battery. If this replacement lasts that long (which in my experience with watch batteries isn’t even close to likely) it’ll probably be on someone else’s wrist! GO DODGERS!!!

That watch went up to $2,000.00 already. I keep hearing that there may be a push to totally jack the price of gold, possibly up to @ 10 times its current price and up to $20,000 an ounce. I talked to my uncle who is an ace investor and he said it’d be a risky move to dump most of our savings into it. But I could’ve gotten it for around $1,600 an ounce just last year and passed. It jumped to over $2,000 just a month or so back, so the 100 ounces I was considering would have netted me a nice little $40,000 profit in less than a year. Now I’m thinking 100 ounces at $2,000 an ounce could bounce to a cool $2 mil if this happens. It’s still a pretty risky move, though. But I kick myself EVERY day after missing the Las Vegas Sands going public at around $1.15 a share. I was at the gym when it was announced and thought I should pick up @ 15,000 shares. Within a year, the stocks split over a half dozen times, sometimes three for one and I would have ended up with over 100,000 shares. Last time I checked it was just over $56 a share. Stupid, stupid, stupid! GO DODGERS!!!

Rich Hill is still pitching. He's 43. He was cruising along in his last start. 2 runs & 9 strikeouts on 5.0 innings. Then his manager trotted him out for the sixth inning & everything came apart. Hill wound up throwing 98 pitches.
Ruined one team in my fantasy league collection. That day was shaping up so well too.

I took the bullets out of the gun belt & put the pistol in the holster, & the holster under my mattress.
I have 100 rounds of 45 caliber ammunition. Both the Henry repeating rifle & Colt 45 use that.
Still no shifts at work. I'll try to pay at least another 100 dollars on my shotgun.

I have Jake Burger & Jonah Heim in one fantasy league. They combined for 9 RBI's today. Heim had been on fire.

Went 33-15-2 in my five fantasy league teams last week. Would have been better except for Gonsolin & Miller. Josiah Gray's season might be taking an ugly turn too. We'll see.
At least Carlos Correa has finally started to hit. Trout might be coming out of his slump too.

Marcell Ozuna might be a good pickup right now for those of us suffering from Mike Trout going on IL. Ozuna is working on a 12 game hitting streak. He's gone 15-44 / .341-4-10 in that time frame.

I tried picking up Candelario in one league with no bid. Figured no one would notice. Some bastard bid 5 tokens & got him.
