Jose Alvarado got another inning under his belt. Two more strikeouts. He picked up a save. I highly recommend getting him right now for your fantasy league teams.

Was only able to pay $50.00 on my shotgun today. No more shifts this month.

Just bought a lefthanded holster for my Colt 45. No. I'm not going to be lurking around my neighborhood like a retard. I'll hang it from the gun rack. It's a really nice western style holster.
I'm determined to get that Sharps rifle now.

Paid $100.00 om my shotgun today. The salesman had an attitude. But he was right in a very important way. I held my shotgun & had my right finger (I'm lefthanded) on the trigger. He handed it to me. Obviously it was unloaded. But he chastised me. I felt a little ticked off at him & me. Him for treating me like a child. Me, for acting like a child with a new toy. Then I remembered this is the same retard who screwed up my transaction by several hundred dollars.
I need to stop taking things so personally.

Dude was PURE evil with zero conscience about killing people. Made Manson look like Mother Teresa. GO DODGERS!!!! Moe Dalitz was incredibly powerful. He was the Mob's man in Vegas for years. With the FBI's focus on the Mafia, Jewish gangsters pretty much slipped under the radar. For the most part, they were organized crime's innovators too. Allen Dorfman of the Teamsters Central States Pension Fund practically built Las Vegas. Him & Perry Thomas. Thomas represented a Mormon bank. New York Mafiosi started Vegas. Bugsy Siegel & Meyer Lansky. But the Chicago Outfit eventually took over. The East Coast was left with Atlantic City, after Cuba was cut off. This book makes mention of Longy Zwillman of New Jersey, Dandy Phil Kastel (Frank Costello's partner in Louisiana slot machines), the Bernsteins of Detroit Purple Gang fame, Mickey Cohen, Gus Greenbaum, Meyer Lansky, Bugsy Seigel, Dave Berman, Lepke Buchalter, Dutch Schultz, the Pritzker family (Dorfman got shot to death in one of their Hyatt Hotel parking lots), Moses Anenberg (his son owned TV Guide), & even Joseph Kennedy. I believe Dalitz even helped build a hospital. Maybe their airport. He rose to the level of kingmaker. Italians never trusted other Italians. The list of Mob kingpins in Las Vegas is a who's who of Jewish gangsters. Siegel, Greenbaum, Dalitz, Berman, Rosenthal.

That scene with Pesci in the desert was one of the most brutal beatings I’ve ever seen on film. GO DODGERS!!!

That scene with Pesci in the desert was one of the most brutal beatings I’ve ever seen on film. GO DODGERS!!! No. That was Lefty Rosenthal. Pesci played Tony Spilotro. Vegas was such a money making machine that the Mob didn't want it sullied with criminal activities, or unwarranted publicity. Spilotro started robbing guests. Breaking into their rooms when they were out. Rosenthal had a massive ego. He couldn't hold a gaming license because of his record. So (was it Glick?) was put up as a front man. Rosenthal ran things with titles like food & beverage manager. Then it got too hot for him to even do that. So he got a television show & plead his case to the public. His car blew up after that one. Howard Hughes was about the funniest front man. He saw all those glittering casinos & thought he had hit the mother lode. He bought from gangsters. But the gangsters included clauses that allowed them to retain management of the casinos. Hughes ran the hotels. My folks used to always go to Vegas to catch the affordable Rat Pack shows & hotel rooms. Then Mom would play the nickel slots. Hughes out an end to that because he was losing money on the casinos. I have a book on the Kansas City Mafia. That's where the skim went. They took their share & it moved along to the next city. The FBI had bugged them.

The FBI had bugged them. Lots of good information and history there. Thanks! I don’t remember my grandparents ever making any trips over to Vegas after moving out west in the early 70’s. If they did, I’m sure it would’ve probably been for the shows and entertainment rather than gambling. My grandma was pretty tight with a buck, even though they were loaded. They used to go see all of the big names here at a place over in northern Kentucky called The Beverly Hills Supper Club, which burned to the ground in the late 70’s killing nearly 200 people. The first REAL job I had was with the insurance company that had their policy and I think that claim file took up the better part of and entire five drawer cabinet. It’s amazing that insurance company is still around, as during my time there they also insured Proctor & Gamble and went through the Rely tampon suits (four or five cabinets!) as well as insuring the electrical contractor which was found responsible for the fire at the MGM Grand in Vegas. I also found out that they were one of the main insurance companies for the Titanic. They merged and were bought out by other insurance companies a number of times while I was there and even after I left. But a small piece of them stayed separate out of the mergers and acquisitions and still operates out of Boston where they originated. GO DODGERS!!!

I belong to this genealogy site. I don't pay anything. Don't believe in it enough to actually pay. But clues I leave them help put together pieces that paying customers may want. One night I got really drunk (hard to believe, I know) & traced myself back to God himself. They seriously had me as a direct descendent of God. I started getting concerned when all this European royalty kept popping up. I'm descended from Charlemagne, some Russian czar, Nordic nobility, Otto the Great, Constantine, Alexander the Great, David, Moses, etc. These Mormons take their shit seriously. I would just take another gulp & laugh. I take most of what they present once we reach about the 1600's semi-seriously. There were no kings of queens there. Maybe some well to do merchants. No conqueror's or 'the Greats'.
Just now got a request for someone to manage several profiles associated with Alfred the Great. Yeah. Sure. Go ahead. Can't wait to see those results.
I figure you guys owe me a hell of a lot of back-rent on MY planet.
