Got a Fernando bobblehead yesterday. This shelf has room for maybe four more. For sure that will include... Mike Trout Shohei Ohtani in a Dodgers uni. Clayton Kershaw ? I was looking at Nomos. Expensive. Gagne? Piazza talked shit about Vin. I have three - Steve Garvey - attorney my wife used to use in her job when she was handling WC claims in LA for 7 / 11 stores got it for me; Tommy Lasorda - we both got one of those at a Vero Beach game last year they were there in 2008; and a Clayton Kershaw - Di got me for Christmas one year via eBay. Got cases for all three of them. Just a small fraction of Dodger corner in my basement. One of these days I’m gonna have to take some pix and post them here. GO DODGERS!!! |

So I have Lum's turntable running right now. Got Al Green's Greatest Hits from Amazon. The sound is fine.
It may have slurred a bit at first. When the needle was on the outside edge. The further in it goes, the better the traction. I think that's what it is. Traction. This guy had to remove the rubber. I looked at it when he handed it to me. It looks like cardboard. Any suggestions on what I can use to ensure good traction, without damaging the LP's?
Stevie Wonder would be next. Music of My Mind, Talking Book & Innervisions. Then maybe George Benson.

So I have Lum's turntable running right now. Got Al Green's Greatest Hits from Amazon. The sound is fine. It may have slurred a bit at first. When the needle was on the outside edge. The further in it goes, the better the traction. I think that's what it is. Traction. This guy had to remove the rubber. I looked at it when he handed it to me. It looks like cardboard. Dropped Kershaw from two of my four fantasy league teams. I had drafted him in all four. Just immediately stashed him on IL. You know baseball. I ran out of IL spots.
Let's hope he does well today.
1:10 startup time. A day game. Seems like they could have chosen better.

That is sweet. I just added to my 1:18 collection after nearly searching for over a year. I found a diecast that is exactly the same as my 2003 Ford Harley Davidson F150 as the one in my garage. I now have both my bike & truck in 1:18 scale. FIRE DAVE ROBERTS!!! |

So I bought this new LED lighted case for my new Ford HD diecast. Pain in the ass to assemble.
As I’m un-boxing the truck, I notice that the passenger side door is “flopping” open and not acting like the other three, which operate almost like they’re spring loaded.
So, as I’m setting it into the new display case, the door actually falls off! I spent the next several hours trying to figure out where this small piece of plastic (about the size of my baby fingernail) had come or broken off of as well as trying to get the door back on the hinge.
NO DICE!!!
My only solution was to just superglue the door to the frame. I could probably return it, but it took me close to two years to find it at a reasonable price and who knows if and when another one might pop up.
I am a little bummed, tho.

Fantasy league season is over. With four teams, I finished a combined 427-403-50 / .514. No titles. Not even in consolation brackets. Mostly I underestimated base stealing. Then had a couple bad breaks. Like Acuna getting hurt. Kershaw not being available for the stretch run. Trout getting hurt again. Seager getting hurt was anticipated. Ohtani didn't go as high as you might think. A lot of people were concerned with his arm, & then the betting scandal.
This is by far the worst I've ever done.
