It certainly looks like it with the pleats and folds that appear in the photos. It's probably not as thick or the same as they actually used on the real car, but it definitely looks to be made of some type of linen or fabric rather than molded plastic. Sweet looking ride, for sure. LOVE the colour! GO DODGERS!!!

Saw a book on black slaveowners on Amazon. Hmmm. That sounds interesting. Will this have reviews by rednecks finger pointing that this is a great book because it brings to light slavery wasn't as one-sided as "libs" say it was?
Yep. I grew nauseous reading the reviews.
Still going to get it.

Still going to get it. Saw a post and video on how slavery is STILL happening, with a good deal of it being blacks selling other blacks in Africa to work the mines there. I guess being captured and sold by the insurgents there to work the mines is preferable to being shot and killed by them. But probably not by much. GO DODGERS!!!

The thing about European colonialism is they grouped peoples together who hated each other. Mostly the French & British did this. They had the biggest pieces of Africa. For administrative purposes, they would group peoples together that had blood feuds going back centuries. Then they pulled out, leaving those nations to deal with the repercussions. We backed up some petty dictators because it suited our ends. Then everyone sells weapons to every side. They don't care who wins or loses. Just about making money. Lord of War was on a few nights ago. One of the few Nicholas Cage movies I actually like.

And despite our stereotypes, Africa is the second largest continent in the world. There are many people in Africa. North African Berber / Arabic types. Dusky. East African types. Around the horn of Africa. Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea. These were heavily influenced by Arabs. Ethiopia was one of the very first Christian nations. They had a brisk trade going with the Byzantine Empire, until they were surrounded by Muslims. They tend to be tall & lean. Sharper features. Bushmen in central Africa are a bit smaller. Lighter hair. The Africans we've come to associate with America are mostly Bantus. Bantus branched out from around Nigeria at the time of Jesus. They overtook the Gulf of Guinea & went as far south as Angola. As far east as Kenya. I've never read it, but I assume Hutus are the descendants of Bantus who interbred with Pygmies. They tend to be squat with exaggerated facial features. They clashed with Tutsis in Rwanda. Tutsis look like they originated around the horn of Africa. Europeans tended to regard the Tutsis in higher esteem. That led to a bloodbath.
Pretty sure it was a Hutu who got behind me in line at a local pharmacy. He sure looked the part. Had an accent too. This was during social distancing. He was standing right off my ass. I finally turned around & asked him if he was getting all this. My personal info. The pharmacist looked alarmed, until I winked at her. Then she smiled. Yeah. Get off my back.

Not sure what types of mines these “new” slaves are being used in.
Probably some diamond, maybe some others that have the materials and resources for all these damn electric cars Sleepy and company are SO gung-ho over.
I read somewhere it takes several TONS of these materials to make just a single battery for EV’s and I have to wonder / ask.
What the hell are they going to do when they deplete the earth of ALL of them? Surely there’s not an unlimited supply and I would doubt once excavated they regenerate and replace.
I don’t know how long it takes to charge EV’s, but I’m guessing it’s not quite as fast as gassing up.
And a 300 mile range, even though in line with a good deal of gasoline engines would completely suck if you were driving cross country and had to stop every four or five hours and sit for an hour (?) while getting juiced.
The thing is - it’s all just SO incredibly unnecessary. Global warming is a myth promoted by big government to once again gain and have more control over the people it’s supposed to serve.
The only scientists that believe in it are those on the government payroll.
Sorry - I think I’ll get my information from someone more knowledgeable and reliable than some governmental shill.
Like maybe the scientist and meteorologist who invented and started THE WEATHER CHANNEL?!?
I rant, therefore I am - Dennis Miller

I just spent over two hours cleaning off this old stereo. Turntable, cassette player & AM/FM radio. What am I doing wrong? Everything but the turntable is working. Cleaned up fine.

Found an Orel Hershiser bobblehead at Goodwill this morning. It's still wrapped in plastic inside the box. $3.99.

I had to replace a turntable about a decade ago. Sometimes the belt breaks or the motor just ceases up from lack of usage. Haven’t used it or the cassette player for years. Use the receiver all the time for our 13 speaker surround sound. I swear - it’s better than what they have at the big screen theaters. GO DODGERS!!!

Got our signed Hootie & the Blowfish guitars last week. We got two because they were part of a front row package. I put the second one up for sale on Reverb.
What’s really surprising is the guitar itself. They usually use some $100 no-name guitar that “looks” like or is similar to ones the band uses.
They’re normally not worth the wood and electronics in them.
But this is actually a pretty nice acoustic Epiphone (made by Gibson). It’s from China - but isn’t just about everything these days?
But it’s damn nice solid maple with chrome tuning keys and a maple neck & fretboard. I’d be willing to bet it’d go for $400 - $500 at Guitar Center.
And that’d be without the silkscreen logo and four original member signatures on it.
Got a sweet glass enclosed case for it via Amazon and it now sits nicely at the end of our Hall of Fame in the basement “museum”, as our friends call it.
I swear - I’ve got six figures worth of memorabilia down there. I have no clue what we’re going to do with it all if we move to Florida as planned in a couple years!
