"In a corresponding roster move, the Dodgers claimed RHP Cory Mazzoni from the Chicago Cubs. He will be optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City."
Per ESPN article.

So I'm guessing Joc and Farmer make the team. It should be Toles and Farmer though.

** It should be Toles and Farmer though.**
I agree, I’m thinking if Joc makes it they will probably put him on a short leash, at least that’s what I’m thinking anyway 🤔

Can't say we didn't give him a fair shot. It's a shame to have that body style without the talent to back it up. This just in, baseball is hard.

Bottom line is Trayce just some a very good baseball player. A poor defender and a poor hitter. Not a good combination.

From truebluela-
"Manzoni, 28, saw limited time in the majors in 2015 and 2017 with the Padres, and the results were disastrous. In 14 major league relief appearances totaling 16⅔ innings the right-hander allowed 38 runs (32 earned) on 40 hits, including seven home runs, for a gaudy 17.28 ERA and 8.97 FIP, with 12 strikeouts and nine walks.
After missing the first three months of 2017 on the minor league disabled list with a shoulder injury, Mazzoni was lights out in Triple-A, posting a 0.89 ERA with 31 strikeouts and just three walks in 20⅓ innings for El Paso."
He does have one option remaining, which makes one ask why the Cubs would outright release him. I guess they just didn't have the room.

Joc gets another shot because of his World Series & 2.6 million dollar salary. If he doesn't straighten his problems out by the end of May he's gone.

Feel for the guy, but it seemed inevitable. I read Dodgers don't expect him to clear waivers, so I wish him well.

As ALMOST everybody predicted, Trayce gets the boot.

This was Trayce's career.
Dave Roberts: ”It was a tough, tough decision,” manager Dave Roberts said. ”Trayce does a lot of things well. Just where our roster is and the opportunity, or lack thereof, (it) wasn’t going to happen. Being out of options, we had a tough decision to make. Also with Trayce, he’s a guy that needs to go out there and play. When he had his success with us here, it was in a two-month spurt where he got to play a lot on a nightly basis. We didn’t see that for him right now.”

I think this is a bit harsh. I think Thompson has some talent and probably does belong on a MLB roster...just not ours!
