"Interesting. Here's a quote from Brooks from bottom of first table your source regarding how velo measured. "Velocities are assumed from 55ft (rather than the gameday standard of 50ft) for increased realism." Whatever that means."
It would mean the ball comes faster out of your hand. So the speed on gamedays are slightly exaggerated compared to Brooks.

Do you see the Dodgers winning the World Series even after their start? The Dodgers are missing Turner but Arizona is also missing Jake Lamb. The NL West competition has definitely gotten better. The Dodgers matched their worst 13 game start since moving to LA. mlb.mlb.com/mlb/standings/index.jsp#20170423

11-10 now. I'm still very concerned though. Dodgers on streak, starting to creep with 3 wins, so far....Is it because the Snakes are playing 0ver .700 ball @ 15-6 or, would it be our closer although Kenley gotten through the last two, he still has yet to show the absolute and out right dominance ala 2017? And, it's pretty much a given, if KJ is not on his game, its gonna be a rough road to the post season....especially, if this AZ club is the real deal! Turner, with his rehab stint, I just wonder how long it will take for him to get back to where he is supposed to be at this point in the season as, one can make an argument that if JT had been in the Dodgers line up we could easily have 3 to 4 if not, more wins!

Finally over .500. Hopefully we will never dip below that line again this season...

Finally over .500. Hopefully we will never dip below that line again this season... Look at it this way; the Dodgers were 10-12 after 22 games last year. They can't be that bad this year.

Bulldog how you feeling right now? Are you as confident now as you were going into the season? There is plenty of time to change things around I agree but when are they going to start doing so? I have read they are not panicking. Whatever they have done so far they need to quit. So if they weren't panicking now is a good time to start. "Panicking"...

On this date 1 year ago we were 9-10. This year 11-10.
The season is not over.

After yesterdays loss to the Fish, in Kershaw's even worse start than he had against Washington; I'm surprised that this thread, that's mostly about Kershaw, has gone dormant.
Serious concern over Kershaw's recent pitching is entirely valid. It's not looking like a fluke. Kershaw is not dominating. Not even against Miami. He held back the scoring, despite having the bases crowded throughout his start. I was impressed by that. I was disappointed that Doc let him pitch to one more batter, when it was obvious that Clayton wasn't Clayton.
Count me among the apparent tiny minority here who is very concerned about Kershaw.
Right now, Ryu is our apparent one & only "stopper".

At my age, I do know something about aging. In Kershaw's case, I don't attribute his current problems with aging. Something more serious than incremental aging is going on, and I hope Honeycutt can fix it, SOON!

A very “un-Kersh” like start, to say the least. But he has pitched very well thus far (although his record shows otherwise). EVERY pitcher has a “stinker” or two or three throughout his 30 + starts every season. This was Kersh’s first in 2018, but I guarantee it won’t be his last this season or in his career. He is clearly one of the best in our lifetime, but he is not a machine who can go out there and be close to perfect every time he takes the mound. Kersh & the Dodgers will be just fine. GO DODGERS!!!

As of now, Ryu and Maeda are the two pitchers that can be relied on. That's great and I'm happy those two have stepped up. But if Ryu and Maeda are the only two pitchers that you can rely on, you're in serious trouble. I'm sure that will change soon, but right now that's the reality.

Hmm...I just hope Clayton isn't in any pain and, he is compensating in some, even in a tiny way, that could be effecting his mechanics!
As far as aging is concerned, I think the Rolling Stones summed it up quite nicely when they said: "What drag.. it is, getting old"
Indo, is that Hop-a-long Cassidy?
