Is it Miller tomorrow, in the house of horrors? This game got ugly fast. Is it time to start getting concerned about Ferris? He’s now had close to double digit starts since coming off the IL and has not looked good in all but a couple. He had an excellent start in LA against the Redlegs, but turned around the following week and dropped a load to the same team here in Cincy. Colorado isn’t exactly the easiest place to pitch, but seven runs (four in the first) in four innings from a dude that was once thought to be the next Kershaw is not good. His ERA has grown to just under six and while I realize he is still feeling his way through re-learning and using more than his previous high 90’s fastball, his progress has been less than stellar. And as I make this post, LA storms all the way back with SEVEN runs in the top of the ninth to bail Ferris out of another L to his already under .500 W - L record. Damn - the Rockies REALLY suck! GO DODGERS!!!

Now the umps are giving Dodgers pitchers unearned strike calls. The injustice never ends.

At 25-48, this game very well may have knocked Colorado out of the playoff hunt.

Bud Black tried to take the high road, despite baiting by the media.

LA now 2 - 0 since Mookie went down. Their 46 wins are third best in the entire league and nine games up on the still below .500 Snakes.
“Several weeks” has now been upgraded to a more realistic six to eight weeks.
Hopefully Miller time has a better outing than Ferris did, although based on his AAA rehab assignments, I’m not overly enthusiastic.
Of course, if they keep scoring in double digits every night, maybe the pitching won’t be a factor.
GO DODGERS!!!

Maybe don’t give up a PH grand slam to a part time .200 hitter followed by a three run shot later that same inning. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Surrenders seven runs Rotowire 9 MINS AGO Buehler allowed seven runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out two over four innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Tuesday.
Buehler has struggled at times this season since he returned from Tommy John surgery, and a trip to Coors Field did him no favors for getting on track. He's struck out three or fewer batters in each of his last three starts, and this was the third time this season he's given up multiple home runs in an outing. Buehler is at a 5.84 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB with 10 homers allowed over 37 innings across eight starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the White Sox.

Perhaps young Walker will get his groove back against the south siders in Chi town. They REALLY suck this year - even worse than the Rockies with only 20 wins in mid-June. If not, it might be time for him to miss a start or two and either get the pitch whisperer Prior to work out more with him or perhaps another few OK City games might do the trick. A 1 - 4 record and near six ERA ain’t exactly cutting it for the one time two plus years removed of the LA rotation. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Delivers go-ahead blast Rotowire 7 HRS AGO Hernandez went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.
Hernandez had gone six games without a homer after a stretch in which he went deep five times over five contests earlier in the month. He saved his best play for last Tuesday, putting the Dodgers ahead with a ninth-inning blast to complete the comeback win. The outfielder is up to 18 homers, 54 RBI, 41 runs scored, four stolen bases and a .255/.326/.503 slash line through 75 games this season. He's firmly on pace to top the 30-homer mark for just the second time in his career.
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Swats homer in win Rotowire 7 HRS AGO Pages went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and two walks in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.
Pages got the Dodgers on the board with his second-inning blast. The rookie outfielder has gone 5-for-21 with two homers over his last six contests, and he continues to see steady playing time in center field. Pages is up to a .262/.318/.426 slash line with eight long balls, 21 RBI, 34 runs scored, one stolen base and nine doubles through 55 games.
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Grand slam off bench Tuesday Rotowire 7 HRS AGO Heyward hit a grand slam in his only at-bat in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.
Heyward didn't start against southpaw Austin Gomber, but he was clutch when called upon in the ninth inning. Heyward hit for Chris Taylor and delivered a grand slam that got the Dodgers within a run, setting the stage for Teoscar Hernandez to be the hero with a go-ahead three-run blast later in the frame. This was Heyward's fourth homer of the campaign, two of which he's swatted in the last seven games. He's slashing .250/.344/.488 with 15 RBI, 14 runs scored and two stolen bases over 93 plate appearances.
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Homers in Tuesday's win Rotowire 7 HRS AGO Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.
Ohtani batted leadoff for the second game in a row, and it looks like that'll be his spot as long as Mookie Betts (wrist) is unavailable. While Betts' absence is a big one for the Dodgers, Ohtani should be plenty capable of filling in atop the order, given his excellent batting skills and his noticeable speed. The 29-year-old has multiple hits in four of his last five games, and he's up to a .316/.388/.608 slash line through 325 plate appearances this season. Ohtani has added 20 homers, 49 RBI, 57 runs scored, 16 stolen bases, 20 doubles and two triples. His RBI numbers may dip, but that should be offset by a slight uptick in crossing the plate himself.
Stats 7 HRS AGO Dodgers' Evan Phillips: Grabs one-out save Rotowire 7 HRS AGO Phillips struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.
Alex Vesia issued a two-out walk, and Phillips was able to strike out Hunter Goodman on five pitches to secure the save after the Dodgers' ninth-inning comeback. Aside from a three-run misstep in Pittsburgh on June 6, Phillips has pitched well since his return from a hamstring injury. He's at 11 saves with a 1.89 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB over 19 innings this season.

GO DODGERS!!! Last time the Dodgers scored 7 in the 9th to win was in '04, when Steve Finley hit that walkoff grand slam to clinch the playoffs. Dodgers were down 3-0 after 8. And I also recall another game they scored 7 in the 9th to win a game. Walkman will never be his dominant self again. This is such a sad fact of athletes of all sports: injuries, and in his case, 2 Tommy Johns. I predict he won't be on the roster next year.
