Freeman grounds into a DP. Friedman must be on the phone to Dave right now. Never let Ohtani bunt again. Statistics prove that...

He bunted more times in that Reds series than I believe he has in nine years and 1,500 + regular and postseason games as the skipper. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Launches third homer Rotowire 11 HRS AGO Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Hernandez has homered twice in his last six games, though both have been solo shots as well as his only RBI in that span. The utility man is slashing just .216/.287/.320 with three homers, eight RBI, seven runs scored and no stolen bases over 108 plate appearances this season. Hernandez has started five straight games at third base since Max Muncy (oblique) exited the lineup, so it appears Hernandez has a path to steady playing time for now.
Dodgers' Will Smith: Goes yard in win Rotowire 11 HRS AGO Smith went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Smith hadn't homered since May 1, going 8-for-43 (.186) with two doubles and six RBI over the 13 games between long balls. That's a rare cold spell for the catcher, who is slashing .308/.381/.481 with five homers, 31 RBI, 26 runs scored and 12 doubles over 181 plate appearances. With Shohei Ohtani occupying the designated hitter spot, Smith has received routine days off this year, though he's still the primary catcher over backup Austin Barnes.
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Slugs grand slam in win Rotowire 12 HRS AGO Freeman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
The homer was Freeman's first since May 11 and his third in May. He gave the Dodgers the lead in the third inning, and they never looked back. Freeman is up to five long balls, 29 RBI, 31 runs scored, one stolen base and a .298/.409/.464 slash line through 50 contests. He's not hitting for as much power as he did last year, when he racked up 29 homers, 59 doubles and a .567 slugging percentage, but there's little to complain about from what the first baseman's provided so far in 2024.
Dodgers' Daniel Hudson: Nabs third save Rotowire 12 HRS AGO Hudson struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Hudson is on a five-inning scoreless streak dating back to his May 8 save versus the Marlins. He's served as the Dodgers' top closing option since Evan Phillips (hamstring) went on the injured list earlier in May, though save chances have been sparse. Hudson has two saves since Phillips was hurt, and J.P. Feyereisen, who was reassigned to Triple-A Oklahoma City over the weekend, is the only other reliever to pick up a save in that span. For the season, Hudson is at a 2.70 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 22:1 K:BB with three saves and eight holds over 20 innings.
Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto: Strikes out eight in win Rotowire 12 HRS AGO Yamamoto (5-1) earned the win Monday over the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out eight over 6.1 innings.
Yamamoto was able to rebound after being not at his best last Monday versus the Giants. The rookie right-hander put together his fifth quality start in his last six outings, though the win was briefly endangered after Elieser Hernandez gave up a pair of solo home runs in the eighth inning. Yamamoto is at a 3.17 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 61:11 K:BB through 54 innings over 10 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in a tough venue, Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park.
Dodgers' Eduardo Salazar: Designated for assignment Rotowire 17 HRS AGO Salazar was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Salazar was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, and he'll now be placed on waivers after being dropped from the Dodgers' 40-man roster. If he goes unclaimed, he'll likely remain with Oklahoma City. The Dodgers acquired reliever Yohan Ramirez via trade from the Mets on Monday, and he'll replace Salazar on the 40-man roster and join the Dodgers ahead of their three-game series with the Diamondbacks.
Dodgers' Landon Knack: Demoted to Triple-A Rotowire 17 HRS AGO Knack was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Knack filled in admirably Sunday in a spot start against the Reds, surrendering one run on three hits and one walk while fanning five over 4.2 innings. He'll be moved back to the minors to make room for Yohan Ramirez, who was acquired in a trade from the Mets earlier in the day.

Dodgers' Bobby Miller: Throws sim game Tuesday Rotowire 1 HR AGO Miller (shoulder) threw a three-inning, 51-pitch sim game Tuesday and is expected to make a rehab start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday, according to manager Dave Roberts.
Miller has been out since April 13 while nursing right shoulder inflammation, but he got one step closer to returning Tuesday. The 25-year-old will likely need to make multiple rehab starts with the team's minor-league affiliates before potentially returning to the major-league roster in early June.
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Commences baseball activities Rotowire 1 HR AGO Muncy took some groundballs Tuesday as he started up baseball activities after his recent oblique strain, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
The Dodgers placed Muncy on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain. According to manager Dave Roberts, Muncy sustained the strain in batting practice prior to Thursday's game. Before hitting the injured list, the third baseman was slashing .223/.323/.475 with nine home runs and 28 RBI over 167 plate appearances.
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Not starting Tuesday Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Heyward is not in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.
Heyward has started in three games since returning from the injured list Friday. He has recorded two hits, one of which was a home run, across 11 plate appearances in those games. With the right fielder taking a seat Tuesday, Teoscar Hernandez moves to right field and Miguel Vargas enters the lineup in left field.

Stone not particularly sharp tonight. 3-1 Dbacks in the middle of the 5th. Peach Grove in to completely put the game out of reach. And to Jacques of all people. Arizona announcers on MLB- TV are insufferable. Boys aren’t coming back from this one. Almost kinda glad to see them lose one tonight instead of coming to town on a long win streak. Redlegs beat the Mads tonight as well to snap their losing streak. Hope they win the next two and then start another losing streak on Friday. GO DODGERS!!!

Not a single starter has been named for the series here in Cincy. That gives me pause. I hope to God we don’t see three bullpen games in a row.
Buehler completely shut Ely & the Reds down just last week. Certainly he must get one of the starts. Paxton? Yamaha?
Glasnow going tonight, so he’s definitely out. I don’t think we want to see another repeat performance of last night in the Stone / Grove pairing.
George is gettin’ UPSET!!!
GO DODGERS!!!
