It’s simply amazing that the NFL doesn’t even attempt to disguise the blatant fixing of games and scores by Vegas.
NO FUCKING WAY IN THIS OR ANY WORLD a shitty team like Tennessee with a back up QB and 0 - 7 road record goes into Miami and completely shuts one of the leading offenses down for three and a half quarters.
And then when they finally do score a pair of TD’s due to Titan errors, their D turns around and gives up two TD’s of their own in four minutes.
And Achane was 100% out of bounds at the end yet another ref came down the line and rolled the clock. Not that it even should have come to that.
It seems that the entire theme this year is complete parity and every single division and wildcard being up in the air until the final week.
And as bad as things were, the dozens of on-line betting sites and apps have only added to the billions of dollars TRULY controlling the games.
It’s making the games and league unwatchable.

And let’s not forget the refs “contributions” and payola.
From the Chefs lining up offsides (he did - but how often is this called & why wasn’t the play blown dead?) to the “delay of game” last night against Miami for shifting their defensive line.
They also CLEARLY missed the horse collar tackle that knocked Hill out of the game, an EXTREMELY late hit on Tua - not to mention Achane’s out of bounds on that last drive.
How about the Ravens punt return to win that game in OT? There was a block in the back right in front of an official and another hold ten to fifteen yards later where a Raven actually had a handful of Rams jersey.
That team of officials was obviously tired of the four hours in the rain and let that play go just to get out of the weather.
Oh yeah - they only showed the replay of that run once because the missed penalties were SO blatant.
Officiating has been questionable for years. But with the now legal betting just about everywhere there’s simply no way to keep sports legitimate anymore.
13 1/2 point favourites at home do not lose to rookie QB’s and teams who are 0 - 7 on the road.
One of the best offenses in the league, especially in the Red Zone has first and goal four times in the first half and comes away with only six points against a 4 - 7 team?
And then gets gifted two TD’s with five minutes left and allows Tennessee to march right down the field not once, but TWICE in less than four minutes without using a single time out?
Dude on the two point conversion didn’t have a defender within ten yards.
This game was and should be a COMPLETE embarrassment not only to the Dolphins, but also to the league that continues to kowtow to the almighty dollar that they’ll never be able to spend in a hundred lifetimes.
And fools that we are will continue to watch and support it every single week.

Chiefs beat the hapless Patriots by a score of 27-17. Travis Kelce just isn't himself anymore. Phins shut out the hapless Nets without Hill. The penguin filled in nicely with 8 catches for nearly 150 yards and a TD. Mossert set a new club record with two TD’s of his own, giving him 20 for the year with three games to go. Hill still has a shot at 2,000 yards, but he’s going to have to play the year out and average 150 + yards a game. Not impossible, but I won’t be putting any $$$ down on it happening. GO DOLPHINS!!! |

Phins pull one out of their asses despite some questionable zebra calls and a Fox team that couldn’t get off Daks jock.
Tua looked like he got a Vegas bonus for most of the game, missing wide open receivers over a half dozen times that I counted.
And after McDaniel owned up to a very poor decision in the Tennessee game, he goes and calls the exact same play on a fourth and goal from the four yard line early in the game, rather than take the points.
Naturally, it backfired and the Phins got nothing. Can’t wait to see him justify this a second time on Hard Knocks this Tuesday.
He owned up to it last time; will he a second? Miami truthfully should have won this game by two or three TD’s rather than a last second field goal.
A W is a W - but they’ll need to play better than today if they plan on making that trip to Vegas in February.

Chiefs' D shows up in the second half & they beat the Bengals 25-17. Was there ever a doubt in ANYONE’S mind that the NFL was going to allow Miami to win in Baltimore and clinch their division? Not a single chance in HELL that was going to happen with a final week matchup against the one and only team that could take that title away. And lookie lookie - another SHOCKER! They get to “flex” this one to Sunday night to showcase it and draw probably the largest ratings of the year. What’s even more annoying? Three plus hours of the obnoxious and insufferable Cris Collinsworth, who undoubtedly will be so far up Buffalo’s ass we’ll be forced to smell him in addition to his incessant praise of the Bills. From two dropped balls in the end zone to Tua returning to his usual two interceptions per game (after going three in a row without one), this game was over before half time. And losing Chubb with two minutes left in the game down by five touchdowns plus? This team is snakebitten and cannot seem to get out of its own way. Their entire O line is second stringers; two or three of their best corners / safeties have been hurt pretty much all year. The penguin and RB Mostert both sat yesterday and it’s questionable either will play next week. Looks like another one and done playoffs for the Phins. And I was SO looking forward to dropping $20 large to head off to Vegas next month for the big game. GO DOLPHINS!!! |

Tua chokes again, as expected. At least I don’t have to suffer thru three plus hours of Swifty - game is ONLY available via streaming Peacock.
Could the NFL get ANY greedier? Bet it’s the lowest rated playoff game in NFL broadcast history.

The NFL scriptwriters couldn’t have done a better job of getting the matchups they wanted if they tried.
You have Tyreek Hill returning to KC against his old team.
Stafford going to Detroit to play against his former Lions.
Green Bay playing against their former head coach McCarthy in Dallas.
New kids on the block Houston and the NFL’s latest and greatest rookie QB Stroud against the Flacco led Browns, who will likely win and go on to face his former team in Baltimore.
And let’s not forget the serial rapist who previously QB’d Houston and was traded to Cleveland.
A struggling Philadelphia gets a cake walk game in Tampa Bay.
Buffalo gets a third string QB Rudolph at home against superstar and greatest QB in the league Allen (according to insufferable Cris Collinsworth).
It’s almost as if the games are somehow fixed . . .
