@mmoreno1015
On MLB Network, Joel Sherman said Andrew Heaney could potentially sign a two-year contract with an opt-out clause after the first year.
#Dodgers, Mets and Blue Jays were mentioned as interested teams.

@blakeharristbla In regards to Dodgers/Carlos Correa rumors “Two agents for other players suspect the Dodgers are in on shortstop Carlos Correa, presuming he would accept a monstrous AAV on a shorter term.” @ken_Rosenthal What I’m hearing: theathletic.com/3975468/2022/1

@alden_Gonzalez
The Padres, who lost out on Trea Turner, are in on Xander Bogaerts, sources say. @buster_ESPN has more on their aggressiveness here. Stuff on the Angels, Dodgers, Red Sox, etc, too. …

The problem is the Phillies fucked up the market for everyone. All these shortstops & Turner signs the first contract. It's for eleven years. The per annum is actually a bit shy of what I predicted. The years though.
Now everyone else's terms just went up. How much for Correa? Do we pay him till he's 50?

I don’t give a damn how fast he is or how good of shape he is / stays in. NOBODY THESE DAYS can effectively play SS at 41. It’s one of the most demanding positions on the infield and I’d be willing to bet Trea starts regressing halfway thru that albatross contract. Of course, they can always move him to DH, thanks to the Turd. I’m disliking MLB more and more every day with what it has become. New rules, absurd contacts - and it’s only going to continue and get worse. The game we all played and loved growing up will be unrecognizable by the next decade and will be closer to an X-Box or PlayStation cartridge than nine men on a field. GO DODGERS!!!

Don't think I mentioned this. Yasiel Puig is supposedly in San Diego & hovering around the winter meetings.
Get a grip, dude.

Just in: Rob Manfred would like to see the Angels sell by opening day. I had no idea it was this imminent.

It's a shame rules have to change to compensate for a loss of the basics. Bigger bases to encourage running. For guys who never learned how to slide. No shifts because they refuse to go the other way. Because GM's argue that, statistically, they're better off trying to pull everything. At one time they almost exalted walks over hits. Isn't a bunt at least as good as a walk? They're trying to regulate nerdiness from the game.

Dodgers literally doing nothing nothing so far but let everyone walk. Trea, Anderson, Kahnle all signed elsewhere and now Bellinger is off to the Cubs and Heaney to the Rangers. Gonna be a rebuild rookie team next year apparently. Watch this be the year they win it all. Lol...

I’d be more worried about drive-bys and that Wild West show downtown Chi-Town has become than scoring a little ganj if I was Bells. GO DODGERS!!!
