Bauer released from the Dodgers today. Time for the Padres or Mets to sign him for peanuts... I hope if he does sign with someone he no-hits LA every time they play. VERY POOR decision by the Dodgers. I guess that bimbo got her moneys worth on this one by ruining the reputation she obviously was hired to do. GO DODGERS!!! THose who predicted Trevor would never again pitch for an MLB team might well be right, in light of this travesty. Trevor would be a welcome addition to any rotation, but any team he signs with needs to deal with feminist groups that believed every word Anita Hill and Chrissy Ford said and the scandal wouldn't be worth it, no matter how well Trevor pitched for them. |

Let's play the WHAT IF game! I've said before that way back in about 2009, Plaschke suggested trading Kersh and Matt Kemp for Johan Santana. I thought he was out there way back then! The Twins would have had some good teams alright and our guys would've also had good teams but not dominate. Santana had a very nice career, but nothing close to Kersh. He was the only good pitcher the Twins had, and later the Mets. I hate that line of thinking, that "they're unproven prospects, so trade them for a proven star". Was not Santana unproven at one time? And with that mentality, how does one get a first job in a specific field? |

The more I find out about this girl, the more I think Bauer hired a pro. That would explain her moral ambiguity & the Dodgers running away. First come the sexual assault charges. Then solicitation. Trevor was with a prostitute.
How would that work for the Padres? The girl's (she's 28) parents lives in San Diego. So there's the locality. Trevor supposedly assaulted a local. But if it comes out she's a hooker, that initial outrage may subside.
Should be interesting to follow.

Probably 99% of the reason it's illegal is that the gov't can't tax it. They provide a service people want and charge a price they're willing to pay. That sounds like capitalism in action to me! Remember Dave Stewart? While he was with us in the early 80s, he got busted for hiring a hooker in LA. But where was the outrage then? I believe that a great majority of hookers are good, decent people otherwise, so what's the point in making them criminals? |

So Lindsey Hill is a psycho prostitute, or Trevor tried stiffing her.  That's all I can think of. They probably agreed to rough sex ahead of time. One article quoted him as saying he didn't punch her in the face or vagina. What was missing was strangulation. Bauer might have choked her out. She could have thought that was worth extra. A man making 30 million dollars a year would have objected, in this scenario. Just postulating why the Dodgers would want to part ways with someone so badly they would pay him 22.5 million dollars to go away. |

The latest Correa rumor has Boras talking to the Twins. Their last offer was 10 years & 285 million dollars. Carlos would lose two more years & another 20 million dollars. Three years & 65 million bucks from the Giants' initial offer.
In essence, Boras might be bidding his own client's price down. The only way he does that is because the Mets are seriously concerned.

Just that Boras lost 7 years & $150,000,000. Betting this signing includes a BIG insurance policy that pays the Twins big time if Correa’s ankle degenerates prematurely and he’s only good for a few seasons. SS is probably one of the most, if not THE most demanding positions on the diamond. A bad ankle isn’t going to play there without consequences, few of which will be positive. GO DODGERS!!! |
