Cristian Santana hasn’t been walking, but he is hitting very well at Rancho (BA over 300, SLG in the mid 400s). just turned 21 years old... playing 1b and 3b, has made 3 errors at each position so far.

April 26, 2018 5:23 pm Dodgers' Andrew Toles: Participates in batting practice by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Toles (hamstring) took batting practice prior to Thursday's game with Triple-A Oklahoma City. This marked the first time Toles was able to hit on the field since going down with a hamstring injury against New Orleans on April 13. It appears as though the 25-year-old could return to the fold this weekend, though the team has yet to release anything definitive on his status since he got injured. Share: Twitter Facebook
April 26, 2018 1:16 pm Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Optioned to minors by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire The Dodgers activated Garcia (elbow) from the 10-day disabled list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City, MLB.com reports. Garcia has reached the finish line in his recovery from October 2016 Tommy John surgery, as he made four rehab appearances with the Triple-A club, giving up two runs on five hits over four innings. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said earlier this week that the team plans to add Garcia to the active roster at some point in May, but the righty will presumably need to prove effective at Oklahoma City before garnering a promotion.

May 7, 2018 11:07 am Dodgers' Yadier Alvarez: Lands on DL by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Alvarez was placed on the 7-day disabled list Sunday at Double-A Tulsa due to a left groin strain.
Once viewed as one of the top starting pitching prospects in the lower minors, Alvarez has seen his stock plummet over the last year after his command took a major turn for the worse during his age-21 season. Prior to sustaining the injury, the hard-throwing Alvarez had only seen his performance suffer further in his second taste of the Double-A level, as he posted a 5.87 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 17:20 K:BB in 15.1 innings. The groin strain probably isn't anything significant enough to alter Alvarez's long-term outlook, but his continued struggles when healthy have made it more and more likely that the right-hander will eventually be converted to a relief role.

May 7, 2018 9:30 am Dodgers' Mitchell White: Healthy at Double-A by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire White (undisclosed) made his first start of the season Sunday for Double-A Tulsa. He threw three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out four.
He missed the first month of the minor-league season with an undisclosed injury. White needed 66 pitches (41 strikes) to get through three frames, so he was clearly a little rusty, but he also brought his swing-and-miss stuff with him. The 23-year-old righty has now logged 31 total innings at Double-A, so he will likely earn a promotion to Triple-A sometime this summer.

I’m thinking Santana gets promoted to OKC fairly soon. He’d be a nice option to have in The second half to cover some missed starts.

May 7, 2018 5:58 pm Dodgers' Breyvic Valera: Heads back to Triple-A by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Valera was sent back to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
Valera joined the Dodgers as the 26th man for their series in Mexico and was used as a pinch hitter twice. He's 0-for-4 with two walks at the major-league level so far this season. For Oklahoma City, he's hitting .373/.459/.549 with a pair of homers in 17 games.

May 9, 2018 10:40 am Dodgers' DJ Peters: Homers twice for Tulsa by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Peters went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk and a strikeout in Tuesday's game for Double-A Tulsa.
Peters' power is his calling card, as he has never posted an ISO below .230 in pro ball. His 10.9 percent walk rate is identical to the mark he put up last year at High-A, but he has lowered his strikeout rate from 32.2 percent in 2017 to 29.2 percent this season. His seven home runs rank fifth in the Texas League. Even with all this production, it still seems that the hulking 6-foot-6 slugger is underrated because people are too scared off by his swing-and-miss tendencies.

May 9, 2018 10:31 am Dodgers' Dennis Santana: Strikes out 11 batters Tuesday by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Santana covered six innings for Double-A Tulsa on Tuesday, conceding one run and striking out 11.
Santana has now allowed two or fewer runs in six of his seven starts this season, leaving him with a 2.12 ERA over 34 innings. The right-handed has registered a gaudy 48:10 K:BB during that span, giving him a viable claim to the title of the Dodgers' top pitching prospect once Walker Buehler exhausts his eligibility. Santana could earn a midseason promotion to Triple-A Oklahoma City if he continues to shine in the Texas League, but it seems unlikely that he'll get a look from the Dodgers at any point in 2018 even with the big club recently losing Clayton Kershaw (biceps) and Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) to the disabled list.

May 10, 2018 8:49 pm Dodgers' Andrew Toles: Suffers minor setback by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Toles (hamstring) recently suffered a minor setback in his rehab, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Toles' hamstring injury continues to hamper him and the recent setback puts him further away from even being considered for a call-up by the Dodgers. Though the setback was reportedly minor, it's unclear when Toles will be able to resume baseball activity.
