• During extra-inning games in the regular season, each half-inning will begin with a runner on second base. The batter who made the final out in the previous inning (or a pinch-runner for that batter) would be that runner.' Oh. A freak show. COOL!! This and the DH both sound awful. No celebration high or low fives. Players wearing masks in the dugout. No spittin’. Guess bat flips will eventually be deemed “illegal” - might stir up any virus that might be floating around home plate. I’d rather see them cancel the entire season than this BS. And you just KNOW what’s going to happen should our boys finally bring home a title this year. “They only won because of the shortened season”. Haters gonna hate, but it will seem a bit diminished, IMHO. GO DODGERS!!!

What if a young stud like Walker Buehler or Cody Bellinger gets hurt playing in an abbreviated season that will always have an asterisk mark next to it anyway? We would be cursing all involved for their greed. Sure miss baseball though.

We would be cursing all involved for their greed. Sure miss baseball though. I miss it as well, but it’s getting near the All Star break and I’ve found other things to do and watch on TV until two a.m. every night. I’m not proud of it, but I can pretty much recite every episode of Friends line for line. Think Nick at Nite is on its fourth or fifth time thru the entire series. Same goes for Two and a Half Men, although it lost a good deal of its appeal when Charlie Sheen was replaced by Ashton Kutcher. I always wonder how many of the babes he had on that show he actually nailed and if I were to place a bet it would have to be in the 90% range. The one that he was engaged to toward the end (Chelsea - nice rack, but not even close in overall hotness to some of his other “triumphs”) was actually in the pilot for around 10 seconds, then back again a few years later as his “flavour of the night”. She must’ve been pretty tasty to earn a third appearance and a dozen or so episodes as his fiancé. Don’t know if I ever told this here - but we were at a game in LA one time and he was sitting next to our favourite gambler Pete “I never bet on baseball” Rose and they were literally betting $50 - $100 on EVERY pitch. Sheen’s phone rings and I see him look up toward the top of the aisle, which of course I did as well to see two of the hottest babes I’ve ever seen in my life. He smiles, waves and nods a few times. Hangs up the phone, shakes Pete’s hand and is at the top of those stairs quicker than one of his “Wild Thing” fastballs. Some guys have all the luck. As usual - I’ve gone off topic! But I’m leaning more toward no season than this farce they seem satisfied with putting on. And what happens if Covid shows up again? Do they shut everything down again? It seems like an awfully risky venture for the players and their families while the owners sit in their sanitized boxes and continue to try to see how to make this profitable in the end. Whether they play or not, the rule changes are flat out retarded (and I apologize to anyone who may be offended by the use of that word). GO DODGERS!!!

Already Covid popping up throughout the MLB. 12 members of the Phillies organization, 3 in the Rockies including Blackmon and a couple more popped up in Detroit. Season gonna be doomed yet again if this keeps up...

Howdy, gentlemen hope everyone is doing well. Looks like a 60 game season plus playoffs with 40 games in division and 20 against the AL West with a DH. A win is a win is a win I don't care if it's a shortened season and we take it, it's been damn too long. Hopefully DDF manages with urgency all short- season long!

Kenley Jansen feels Dodgers are ‘true champions’ of 2017
BlakeHarris 4 hrs ago
Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen called in as a guest earlier this week on “The Sedano Show”, and had some interesting things to say in regards to the Houston Astros and the World Series from 2017.
As you all know, a lot came out about how the Astros were cheating during the 2017 season and how it likely impacted them winning a championship as a result. Well, Jansen didn’t hold back about how he felt about that, saying that the Dodgers should have been the ones hoisting that World Series trophy at Dodger Stadium.
“I feel like we are the true champions in 2017. It should be us, we got cheated.” Jansen said.
A lot of current Dodgers players who were on that 2017 team have been vocal on getting cheated out of a World Series, Jansen is just the next in line to express his frustration and anger on the issue.
Things will sure get interesting soon, because the Dodgers are expected to play the Astros this season. Initially they weren’t, but because of this brand new season, the Dodgers will face A.L. West teams along with N.L. West teams. This will be the first time both teams have faced each other since Game 7 at Dodger Stadium.
Though a lot of pitchers potentially have things in mind for when they face Astros hitters, Jansen has no intentions of throwing at them.
“But if we’re going to play them this year, just beat them, man. I’m not going to throw at guys, or whatever. ... I don’t wish anybody to do that, to throw at people. Just play them and try to be at my best.”
It definitely will be interesting to see what happens when the Dodgers and Astros face each other this season. Though it might not come from Jansen, I wouldn’t be shocked if there are one or two pitches that get away from Dodgers pitchers.

Don't forget to put that true trophy in the make believe case in a hallway that doesn't exist.
This is great too...

Every time we turn around he's changing something or other. And what was it, back in February, that the team with the best record can pick their first round opponent? WHAT/ I've heard of stupid rules before, but the stupidest rule in baseball and out that I've heard of before this one seems pretty smart by comparison.
Back to the DH: The NL isn't going to win this battle, with every organized baseball league from little league all the way to the AL, not to mention the Dominican Republic, Japan and Korea and elsewhere use the DH so it's time for us purists to throw in the towel and accept the rule. We've been fighting it since 1973 and we should be glad that baseball, even with 10 players instead of 9, will be starting again soon!

Have you read the book? It's more complete. What I"d like to know however, is how soon after the eight acquitted players heard, and how? What is a telegram they received the next morning or what?

Crazy, Andrew Toles who everyone wondered what had happened to him just popped up in jail in Key West for sleeping behind a building (trespassing) near the airport. We all know about his mental issue(s) so where if he has any family or friends are they?
