Dodgers' Matt Beaty: Earns NLDS spot Rotowire Oct 2, 2019
Manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Beaty will be on the roster for the NLDS, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Beaty filled in well for the Dodgers this season with a .265/.317/.458 slash line in 268 plate appearances, and he's rewarded with a roster spot for the NLDS. The 26-year-old will look to turn things around after finishing the regular season on a sour note, as he is 1-for-23 in his last 13 games.
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Tabbed for Game 4
Rotowire 2H ago
Manager Dave Roberts said Hill will start Game 4 of the NLDS should it be necessary, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hill won't be cleared for a full workload, as Roberts indicated the lefty would be expected to throw about four innings. The veteran covered three innings during his final outing of the regular season Sunday, so it's no surprise he'd be on a pitch count. Game 4 is scheduled for Monday, so Hill could also make a brief appearance out of the bullpen Thursday or Friday.

what's it matter who we have to play ? we have to win 11 games. It won't be easy, we will have to beat houston, who is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than washington I have always believed that being lucky is better than being good. There are rare cases of being both lucky and good. I hope this team is lucky enough to get all the breaks and have the ball bounce their way all the way to a Championship.

Dodgers' David Freese: Set to start Game 1 Rotowire Oct 3, 2019 Manager Dave Roberts said Freese will be in the lineup for Game 1 of the NLDS versus the Nationals, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports. The veteran infielder was limited to 186 plate appearances this season but looked great with a .315/.403/.599 slash line and 11 home runs in 79 games. Great. Same guy that missed a very catchable pop fly in Game 1 against the Red Sox leading to multiple runs and close to 30 first inning pitches for Kersh which, as we all know, we eventually lost. This is the freaking postseason - put your BEST defense in their best positions. We have a plethora of excellent outfielders but only one EXCELLENT first baseman. Pure and simple, Bellinger should be on first for EVERY game of EVERY series. GO DODGERS!!!

He hit lefthanders in the minors. At least let him prove he can't do the same in the majors before relegating him to platoon status.

I don't think there will be a platoon with him at 2nd. But for right now in post-season I think there is definitely one at that spot.

Step one: Beat Oakland in their park
Step two: Take out the HEAVILY favoured Astros
Step three: Take out the likely equally favoured Twins / Yankees
First of three accomplished. Two more to go.
All goes as planned for LA and two more steps by Tampa Bay and I’m looking forward to a weekend in Florida and seeing our boys take their first title in three plus decades live and in person.
Lots of work to be done to make this happen, but step one was a big one.
GO DODGERS!!!

David freese needs to play everygame. Thats why he's on the team, for this very time. last years playoffs 364/.423 /773 /1.196 plus he has a world series mvp to his resume. this years splits vs right handers (which houston has a lot of) 361 /435 /738 /1.173 vs lefthanders .287 .385 .515 .900 he also hit more homers against right handers
