Dodgers' Alex Verdugo: Could return for Baltimore series
Rotowire 3H ago
Verdugo (oblique) will have a chance to return from the injured list during Los Angeles' upcoming series with Baltimore, which runs from Sept. 10 to Sept. 12, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Verdugo started a rehab assignment with rookie-level Ogden on Sunday, and while he was initially targeting a return by the weekend, the Dodgers don't expect the outfielder back until next week. He's been sidelined since Aug. 6 due to a right oblique strain.
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Could return next week
Rotowire 3H ago
Manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Muncy (wrist) is a candidate to return next week, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Muncy has been sidelined since Aug. 28 with a small fracture in his right wrist, though he's hoping to resume swinging Monday. In the meantime, look for Gavin Lux to continue to fill in at the keystone while Muncy is sidelined.

This is like the Buckner, Garvey, Lopes, Cey era. Buckner? It took me a minute to notice cos of Garvey, Lopes and Cey but then I realized I didn't see the name Russell. Those four still hold the MLB record 8-1/2 years they played together and their pics are in Cooperstown. Oh how my dad swore at Russell every time he made a dumb error, but also knew Russell was good at bat in the clutch.

Ferris didn't have it last nite, but the Rocky's starter was even worse, so Ferris got the W. That makes up for the brilliant game he pitched a month ago, only to have Jansen blow the save yet again and was denied the W.

Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Set to lose work to Lux
Rotowire Sep 3, 2019
Hernandez is expected to make the majority of his starts at second base versus left-handed pitching moving forward after manager Dave Roberts confirmed Monday that rookie Gavin Lux is the team's primary option at the position, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
The top prospect was called up ahead of Monday's 16-9 win over the Rockies and had a debut to remember, going 2-for-5 with three runs scored. Hernandez was bumped out of the starting nine as a result, though he still went on to record a hit in three at-bats while replacing a banged-up Joc Pederson (abdomen) in right field midway through the contest. Hernandez's ability to play all over the infield and outfield means that Lux's arrival won't be the death knell to the veteran's fantasy value, though it certainly isn't an ideal development. Finding playing time versus right-handed pitching will only become more difficult for Hernandez once Max Muncy (wrist) and Alex Verdugo (oblique) return from the 10-day injured list, perhaps as soon as Sept. 10.

The 21-year-old had a pair of hits -- including a double on his first career barrel -- and three runs scored out of the eight hole in his debut Monday. He will be tested Tuesday with an assignment atop the order as Joc Pederson sits with an abdominal bruise. Manager Dave Roberts told Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com that Lux will start almost every game at second base against right-handers this month. Lux should be owned in virtually all fantasy leagues.

Dodgers' Dustin May: Passes concussion testing
Rotowire Sep 3, 2019
May (head) has passed concussion tests and was headed for bunting drills prior to Tuesday's game against Colorado, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
May was struck by a liner in the head during Sunday's matchup, though he passed all concussion testing and feels fine. The Dodgers have yet to provide an update on May's status, though he figures to be available to pitch within the next few days.

Didn’t pick the Dodgers tonight - something about scoring 16 last night and then going up against a guy with an eight plus ERA told me we’d be lucky to put together more than a few hits, let alone runs.
One hit thru five so far. These guys are about as predictable as Yimini throwing one of his usual moon shots.
GO DODGERS!!!
