Nice! Yeah I've been a fan since the Rich Kotite days. New uniforms get showcased next week. Hopefully they look good. Btw - the Jets suck. The Chiefs are the cream of the crop. We just keep taking chances on talented but spouse beating athletes. I'm very nervous for those uniforms. I like what they have, love their helmet. they are gonna fuck this up. lighter green is good. Green pants 👎 adding black I’m against too. april 4 is the reveal. Gonna pick up a Sam jersey after the new ones come out so I have his rookie jersey. Just in case I can get it signed later. They will be dirt cheap in another week or 2.

I still have the old shade of blue the Los Angeles Rams had before the St. Louis Rams adopted navy blue after Georgia killed...Ummm...Carroll Rosenbloom accidentally drown. I have old jerseys with the old colors. Shame those divers held his legs down.

An amazing opening day with 8 HRs. It was a day game so the ball carried. The homers will definitely slow down over the next 6-8 weeks or so especially with all the night games.
Loved the patience at the plate, they made Greinke work hard. That’s good coaching IMO.
A really good team and it’s obvious what they were thinking in the offseason. This team is better than last year if they get the bullpen right.

My favorite NFL uniforms, no order in particular. jets white on white Colts white on white raiders white jersey, silver pants. rams old school blue jerseys, yellow pants. steelers are great too with the white jerseys. i do prefer white helmets though. and I like 2 colors, not 3, with a couple exceptions as you see.

Kike's blast makes it 5- 0. So glad we avoided that Greinke contract.Dave Stewart must have eaten a lot of paint chips as a child. I am glad that we avoided paying Zack that albatross of a contract but I can't avoid thinking that if we had Zack pitching against the Astros instead of Darvish would we have been champs, IDK.

I was explaining to jeremy since he is adamant about the LA Times article that states that the team is not going over the threshold in future years that the team is spending and still has room for improvement, all that on top of being picked to be in the World Series again out of the NL. Boston is #1 at $225 and over the tax, Cubs are #2 at $210 and over the tax, Yankees #3 at $205 right at the tax, DODGERS are coming in at #4 at $197, and Giants round out the top 5 at $173. Only the Dodgers have wiggle room to improve with some bullpen acquisitions without going over the tax at the deadline. If the team moves more salary from now then it can add more at the deadline. No one wants to go over the tax. Boston is losing guys because it's unreasonable to sustain high payrolls and the Giants are not even close to contending. The reason people are losing their minds about the LA Times article is because they don't understand that the team doesn't need to go over the tax in the next few years. There is a lot of money coming off the books and the young core of the team is under control. No reason to go over the tax.

Well Jeremy doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. None of us know for sure but it has been reported that they offered Harper as much as $45M a year. That would have obviously put them over the tax.
So it seems obvious they are willing to go over the tax if it's for the right piece.

jeremy is a lot doom and gloom but he is good conversation and shares good info. But he is dead wrong about the Dodgers being cheap.

Dodgers' Austin Barnes: Homers in Opening Day win Rotowire 11H ago
Barnes went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in the Dodgers' 12-5 win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Barnes carried his hot hitting from spring training over into Opening Day, touching up Arizona starter Zack Greinke with a fourth-inning solo shot as part of his three-hit day. Barnes had a tough year at the plate last year with a paltry .619 OPS over 200 at-bats, but he's looking locked in thus far in 2019 and Pedro Moura of The Athletic reported that manager Dave Roberts said he expects Barnes to get at least 60 percent of the starts behind the dish, with the rest of those starts set to go to veteran Russell Martin.
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Hits pair of homers Rotowire 11H ago
Hernandez went 3-for-3 with two home runs, three runs and three RBI to help pace the Dodgers to a 12-5 Opening Day romp over the Diamondbacks.
Hernandez joined Joc Pederson as one of two Dodgers to notch multi-homer days, cranking a fourth-inning two-run blast off Zack Greinke before following that up with a seventh-inning solo shot off Matt Koch. The 27-year-old is expected to be the starter at second base for the Dodgers to start the season, so he should rack up plenty of plate of appearances as he looks to build on last year's .256/.336/.470 slash line he posted over 462 at-bats.

Dodgers' Cody Bellinger: Cranks homer in win Rotowire 12H ago
Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in the Dodgers' 12-5 win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
On a mammoth, eight-homer day for the Dodgers' offense, Bellinger got in on the fun with a seventh-inning solo shot off Arizona reliever Matt Koch. Bellinger came down to earth a bit last season after his phenomenal rookie campaign, as his OPS dropped from .933 to .814, but he had a strong spring training and manager Dave Roberts said he expects Bellinger to get everyday at-bats despite his lackluster .681 OPS against left-handed pitching that he posted last season.
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Homers on Opening Day
Rotowire 12H ago
Muncy went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI in the Dodgers' 12-5 Opening Day win over the Diamondbacks.
Muncy had a slow spring training, but he was able to get his regular season off on the right foot, cranking a seventh-inning solo blast off Matt Koch. The 28-year-old burst onto the scene last year with 35 long balls and a sterling .973 OPS over 395 at-bats, so he's off to a good start as he tries to show he's maintained his power-hitting ways heading into 2019.

Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Swats two Opening Day homers
Rotowire 12H ago
Pederson went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and a double to help the Dodgers to a 12-5 romp over the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
On an explosive Opening Day for the Dodgers, Pederson starred hitting atop the lineup, cranking two of his team's eight home runs on the afternoon. He'll make a strong case to keep garnering at-bats in the leadoff role if he can parlay the Opening Day fireworks into a sustained hot streak, but his .170 batting average over 53 at-bats against left-handed pitching last year likely means Pederson will frequently find himself sitting against southpaws.
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Sharp in Opening Day win
Rotowire 13H ago
Ryu (1-0) got the win against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, scattering four hits and just one earned run over six strong innings, striking out eight with no walks as the Dodgers cruised to a 12-5 victory.
Ryu got the nod for the Opening Day start with Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) sidelined and didn't disappoint, with the sixth-inning solo shot he served up to Adam Jones the only earned run he yielded on the day. The lefty will look to keep it going in his next start, which will pit him against Madison Bumgarner and the Giants on Tuesday.

Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: IL move official
Rotowire 10H ago
The Dodgers placed Kershaw (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list Thursday.
The transaction doesn't result in any change with regards to Kershaw's outlook, as manager Dave Roberts confirmed more than a week ago that the southpaw would open the season on the IL. Kershaw is slated to throw a three-inning simulated game Saturday, after which the Dodgers will decide the next step in the rehab process for their ace.
Dodgers' Tony Cingrani: Heads to IL
Rotowire 10H ago
The Dodgers placed Cingrani (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list Thursday.
Cingrani has yet to resume throwing since being shut down since mid-March with left shoulder soreness and appears set to miss more than the minimum 10 days. His absence leaves Scott Alexander as the top left-handed option out of the bullpen for Los Angeles.
Dodgers' Rich Hill: To attempt long toss Rotowire 10H ago
Hill (knee) will attempt long toss Friday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
He was placed on the 10-day IL and threw off flat ground Thursday. Hill says he feels better each day, but it remains unclear when he will return to the rotation. It's possible he will be ready later next week.
Dodgers' Corey Seager: To sit Sunday Rotowire 21H ago
Seager, who is starting at shortstop and hitting second Thursday, will likely get Sunday's game off, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
He will still start Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so it's not particularly actionable news unless you play in a very, very shallow league. This could be a bit of a trend, where he gets planned maintenance days all season.
