Awww! A lazy Sunday. I just woke up & Sly is curled up next to me. We’ve only been gone a couple days and I miss the two idiots fiercely, even though they both ignore me 99% of the time My mom is checking in on them later today and throughout the week to clean their boxes, give them treats, food and water and so they don’t get too lonely. GO DODGERS!!!

I can't find my little buddy. I went outside to water, clean out his litter box, & take the garbage out to the street. He must have followed me. I can't find him.

Hopefully he remembers who gives him Friskies and comes back soon. Ours usually will stick their noses out and even wander out onto our front porch, but that’s about as far as they go. Axl got as far as running under our deck out back and it took a LOT of coaxing to get him out from under it. He was so scared he even bit my wife. But he never left the house again after that, other than annual check-ups and shots with the vet . And ALWAYS in a carrier. Keep me / us updated. GO DODGERS!!!

That's the endgame. Sleet looked at him like she kinda knows. I’ve read and heard about dogs knowing when their time is up and usually disappearing to “be alone”. Maybe it’s the same with cats. When Murphy had her stroke, she got under our couch and would not come out. I slept on the floor just to be by her. She was so disciplined that she wouldn’t go anywhere but her litter box and when she did finally emerge from under the couch to go to the basement, she was so weak and disoriented she fell pretty much all the way down the steps. It was heartbreaking and we knew we had to take her to the vet for that final injection. That day still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. I hope the little guy goes peacefully across that Rainbow Bridge. GO DODGERS!!!

Sleet gave her breakfast to Sly. I wondered if she was feeling poorly. No. She sat in front of the dish after he left. I gave her a slice of ham & she went merrily outside.
That must be a male / female thing. She was taking care of the lion.

That must be a male / female thing. She was taking care of the lion. I’ve noticed that cats are very perceptive to not only their own, but also to humans. They know when we are sick, feeling down and even when we are arguing or pissed at each other. Our current two get along better than our first two ever did. Murphy resented Axl something fierce because she was the only one and was then having to share our affection. Axl always tried to buddy up to her, but she’d hiss and throw a fit every time he got near her. I don’t think that ever changed in their entire time together. Murphy was always “my” cat and wanted very little to do with my wife. Axl was hers up until we got Izzie, who was supposed to be my replacement for Murphy. But she ended up taking to my wife and instead I got to be Axl’s new human for his last few years, which I was pretty grateful for. Now I’m back to being the odd man out as the wife still has Izzie and our newest one Harper is pretty much a loner and doesn’t want much to do with either of us. Funny little creatures they are. GO DODGERS!!!

I almost forgot Sleet's birthday. She's seven years old today. She's laying at my feel right now.
Sly poked his head out for a while. He looked at the bed & must have figured it wasn't worth the effort. He's buried in the closet. I'm going to start calling him Lindsey Graham. Hello, Senator Graham. Hungry?

Not to sound ghoulish, but I'm thinking of another pet. Sly has had a long & wonderful life. He's done whatever he felt like for 18 years. I wish I had his life.
A dog seems out of the question because of my hours. Would Sleet accept another cat if it was a male kitten?
My redneck buddy told me no way you outlive another kitten. Thanks, PAL. But that IS a consideration.

What if I found a vodka drinking male cat? Wow. That's purrfect. We got Axl as a kitten and thought Murphy would really like having a playmate. She hated and resented him and even though on occasion they could be found snuggling together on the couch or in a chair, they never got along when awake. Izzie & Harper are both females and they will get into little scuffles every now and then, they will also lick and clean each other and sleep together more than apart. GO DODGERS !!!

I saw the cutest dog at the pound today. So friendly. All the other dogs were yapping. This one knew I could be his savior & he was licking me.
Do I get a dog?

Much lower maintenance and no daily walks, no baggies for poo retrieval and significantly less “needy”. I loved my dog, but the baths, grooming, food, treats, walks, vet visits & shots were all much more time consuming and expensive. GO DODGERS!!!

I've been browsing on-line greater than three hours lately, but I never discovered any fascinating article like yours. It's pretty value sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made excellent content material as you did, the net will probably be much more useful than ever before. aid for ukraine
