Snowball seems to like heaters. She gets in close to the one in the bathroom. Right now she's laying in front of a space heater in the bedroom.
She's the most transparent cat I've had since Glory (1989-2003).

She's the most transparent cat I've had since Glory (1989-2003). Harper will lay and COMPLETELY cover the vent by our refrigerator, which also just happens to be directly above our furnace in the basement, so it puts out the most and hottest air. We keep reminding her that the heat is for EVERYONE, not just her, which usually results in the “I don’t give a fuck” face. Izzie loves the lamp in my office so much so that she’ll lay underneath the 60 watt bulb, which is too hot for me to touch bare handed, and the bulb will actually be touching her back and fur. I don’t know how she stands it, but she’ll lay like that for 20 or 30 minutes or until I finish up my work and then turn the light off. Dem cats is crazy!!! GO DODGERS!!!

This morning I was sitting on the throne when Snowball came galloping in. Then she put her paw on the heater. After I turned it on, she curled up in a fetal ball in front of it. She's fun.

Snowball is one smart cat. If I have the front door closed, but not locked, she can open it. I put this wooden lattice on it. She stands on her hind legs & claws the lattice, while backing up.
To think someone threw her away.

Snowball tore that wooden lattice off the front door. I'm figuring she climbed it.

The Sleet / Snowball saga continues. Tonight they ate off the same plate. That's HUGE. But Sleet still avoids Snowball because of the rough-housing so near & dear to Snowball's heart. Sleet grew up with a much older cat.
The catch is both cats are cream puffs.

Something wrong with the “Unpresidential” thread again? I haven’t been able to access it since yesterday afternoon.
Getting a window from proboards advising there’s some type of “server error”.
Not sure if anyone else is having this issue.
GO DODGERS!!!

Don't bother getting your cats balls or toys. They love bottle caps.

Don't bother getting your cats balls or toys. They love bottle caps. Or wads / little pieces of paper or just about everything BESIDES cat balls / toys. We usually put some new stuff in their Christmas stockings which take us longer to get out of the packaging than the minute or two they play with them. Ours are both fascinated with shoes so any that are mistakenly not put away usually end up covered in cat hair and drool. Flip flops have been shown to be chew toys with multiple teeth holes in their softer parts. Cats are weird! GO DODGERS!!!

Sleet is still acting petty in a lot of ways. She sleeps on me. For protection, & I would imagine to show Snowball this is my human. Not as much open hostility though.

First two REALLY didn’t like each other, but we could find them sleeping right up against each other all the time. Axl got really tolerant & close to Murphy toward her end. We think he knew she was sick before even we did. He “tolerated” Izzie, and she and Harper seem to be the best duo we’ve had, although they still get into every now and then. Izzie LOVES to “clean” Harper, including her ears and butt - I know - eew! Harper puts up with it to a point, but when she’s done, she’s DONE. She’ll flop down off the couch onto her back under our coffee table and Izzie will normally follow and bite her belly, neck and anything else she can get her mouth around. Kitties be silly! GO DODGERS!!!

He would throw her to the floor, get her neck between his teeth, & then clean her. It must have really been traumatizing to Sleet to lose him.

I would imagine it’s a major loss for them to suddenly not have that one constant in their daily lives not there anymore. As their owners and ones responsible for raising them from their very early ages of around eight weeks, it was deeply hurtful to have to put down our first two, especially me not being there for Axl. I honestly felt worse and cried more than I ever had for any human family member, close friend or their parents. In fact, I RARELY cry at funerals. But putting my dog and both cats down was deeply painful. The two we have now are probably going to hurt even more as we all grow older and become more attached. We hope they will outlive us, but that’s very unlikely due to our differences in average life spans. I hate the idea of replacing either of them one day. But we probably will. We’ve been a two cat family for most of our 31 + married years. I don’t see that changing while we’re both still above ground. GO DODGERS!!!

She'll be nine in June. She's still the little pooty-tat.
