Carlos with those amazing pull-offs flamenco classical style sounding like Al Ciaola on that Europa Acoustic and switch up to Paul Reed Smith Electric sounding like a combination of T-Bone Walker and Dick-Dale with a touch of BB King's free hand E chord Beautiful technique thank you, CK I mean Speedy G' and a shout out to the cameraman, allowing me a close up look at his (Carlos) fingering of the fret l:)

Thanks Kid! 1971 Arguably, the greatest live LP ever! 1970 Live Brothers! Lots of great live albums from the 70’s. A few of my favs are Frampton Come Alive, Genesis - Seconds Out and the epic four album collection of Chicago - Live At Carnegie Hall. Listen to Terry Kath’s “Free Form Guitar” and you’ll see why Jimi Hendrix was quoted as saying “that guy is better than I ever hope to be”. GO DODGERS!!!

Terry Kath From the Chicago Transit Authority -Yes Lord- And that was high praise coming from James Marshall Hendrix Waiting For Columbus LIVE from Little Feat that LP just pop in my head out of nowhere! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Frampton Comes Alive - This may be the best song on that LP. Well, woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand Whose wine? What wine? Where the hell did I dine? Must have been a dream I don't believe where I've been Come on, let's do it again Do you, you, feel like I do? How'd ya feel? Do you, you, feel like I do?

'Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left it seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence'
Simon and Garfunkel......but I love Disturbed's version

Got to see and meet Mr. Frampton this summer on his farewell tour due to his debilitating disease that is nerve related and may someday completely destroy his ability to play guitar. Told him the last time I had seen him live we both had a LOT more hair and none of it was gray or white. He asked “when was that, mate” and I replied “77 - the Comes Alive tour”. We both laughed! Saw Dream Theater again last night for the third time in three or four years. How these guys never graduated to mainstream popularity is beyond me. Five virtuosos in one band is pretty much unheard of but every one of these guys truly fits that bill. Their guitarist and bassist are both so good, they make me look and feel like an amateur, and I’ve been playing for over 50 years! Talked to a couple of other musicians at the show last night and they said the same thing. And they still play and sing every note live with no backing tracks or enhancements. GO DODGERS!!!

So Lady Antebellum is “dropping” the “Antebellum” from their name because of “racial” overtones that they just recently learned of. Does anyone remember their ORIGINAL name? I do. It was BLACK Lady Antebellum.
They QUICKLY dropped the “Black” from that name several years ago due to ITS “racial” overtones. Now, after making millions of dollars in country music, they’re JUST NOW discovering “Antebellum” is also offensive?
I guess the latest issues with police brutality and BLM “reawakened” them? I’m not a fan of their music but if I was, I wouldn’t be now. This is just more political BS and bowing to the pussification of our once proud nation.
When and where does it all stop? The tearing down of statues and monuments and erasing of history that formed this country has got to end.
This nation did not become a nation when Obama took office. It started with the stealing and raping of the land from Native Americans, continued thru the brutality of slavery and the Civil War, participation in two world wars, Korea and Vietnam, etc.
Despite all attempts to destroy that history, it cannot and must not be forgotten.
I understand that racism still exists and probably always will. I am not a person of colour and will never know what it feels like to be judged or randomly pulled over by the police simply because of my skin tone.
But I did grow up with grandparents and a mother that taught me right from wrong and to respect persons of authority, including my elders and the police. I did and will continue to do so until they stick me in the big oven.
I also understand that a good deal of cops automatically become assholes the minute they graduate from their academy and don the uniform and badge. They feel untouchable and cocksure and carry a HUGE chip on their shoulder.
But that goes along with a job that pays fifty large a year and any and every day could result in being their last.
I wanted to be a cop right out of high school but at this point I thank my lucky stars the Affirmative Action was in full swing when I was taking the entrance exam twice a year for several years.
There’s not enough money in the world that they could pay me to do that job these days and in this environment. And I can only think it’s going to get much worse before better.
Personally, I’d like to see them change the MAGA slogan to MAAA - Make America AMERICA Again. But that’s just me.
GO DODGERS!!!

Aunt Jemima & Uncle Ben's are changing names too. NOOOOO!! Trump is fighting Bolton's book with every last one of our tax dollars. Frankly, I'd rather have the book. It's something tangible.

ESPN showing The Eagles concert from last year at The Forum. Vince Gill and Deacon Frey filling in nicely for the departed Glenn Frey. Six part harmonies sounding as sweet as the did in the 70’s and 80’s.
Repeats again on Wednesday on ESPN2, 8:00 pm EDT. If you’re an Eagles fan (and who isn’t?), this is a “don’t miss”.
Only suggestion is there are a LOT of commercials (like every two songs). Good one to put on the DVR.
GO DODGERS!!!
