The Lakers won by a score of 109-102. Drummond played limited minutes, but they made an effort to involve him.

Tonight's game against the Suns was tight until right before the half. Then the Lakers pulled away & won handily, 109-95. One of the Suns must have gotten frustrated. I saw Schroder shooting technical free throws as the Sun was escorted off the floor. Schroder had a surprisingly effective game. 20 points on 6-11 from the field. 34 points & 11 rebounds for Davis. 21, 6 & 9 for James. I've really come to appreciate Alex Caruso. You look at that guy & figure he can't be much. He had 2 blocked shots tonight.
Lakers now lead the series 2 games to 1.

NBA World Reacts To Anthony Davis Injury News
Zach Koons 6 hrs ago
Just before halftime in a close Game 4 between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns, Anthony Davis took a tumble to the floor and immediately reached for his groin area. He didn’t come back out of the locker room to start for the second half.
Soon after the start of the third quarter, ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols shared that Davis had been diagnosed with a left groin strain and would not return for the remainder of the game on Sunday. He left the game with just six points on 2-of-9 shooting in 19 minutes played
The injury update spelled devastating news for the Lakers who fell deeper into a hole during the third quarter of Game 4 without their star big man. Already, Davis struggled to get ready for Sunday’s game due to a knee sprain and will now have to work through another setback to return to the floor.
After Davis left the game in Staples Center, the Suns extended their lead over the Lakers and seemed poised to tie the series up at two games apiece.
Davis has been the key for the Lakers in the series as he’s proven to be a matchup problem for the Suns when Deandre Ayton isn’t on the floor. After an underwhelming Game 1, Davis scored 34 points in Game 2 and 34 points in Game 3 to carry the defending champs to back-to-back victories.
The Lakers success in the rest of the Western Conference first round series will be dependent on the health of their All NBA big man. If Davis can’t return, later this week, LA’s playoff run may end prematurely.
LeBron James and the Lakers are doing their best to stay competitive in Sunday’s Game 4. Tune into ABC to watch the conclusion.

OUCH!!! AD injury might be the straw that breaks this camels back this year. GO DODGERS!!! Harrell still hasn't gotten off the fucking bench. If Vogel had a professional objection to how Montrezl fit in with the team, that went out the window tonight. This is personal. 74-42 right now.

Shaq really ripped the Lakers, & this is one time I agree with him. He called them "soft." He basically said they're quitting. Everyone seemed to be tap dancing around Davis' propensity to get hurt. This guy had two or three false alarms before his 'hamstring issue.' It's a contest between Chris Paul of the Suns & Davis for which one is going down with a career ending injury first. Drama queens. I had hoped Kyle Kuzma would step up. Guess not.
Oh well. There's last year's championship to savor.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Questionable for Game 6 Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Davis (groin) is questionable for Thursday's Game 6 against the Suns, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.
Davis missed Game 5 in Phoenix, and the Lakers were blown out 115-85. Markieff Morris got the start in Davis' absence, but he finished with just four points in 10 minutes. More information on Davis' status should continue to emerge as gameday approaches.
Lakers' LeBron James: Carries Lakers in lopsided defeat Rotowire 10 HRS AGO James recorded 24 points (9-19 FG, 6-10 3Pt), seven assists and five rebounds across 32 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Suns.
James was the only reliable scoring threat for the Lakers throughout the entire contest, but he lacked company this time around -- Los Angeles couldn't even reach the 90-point mark as a team while losing by a 30-point margin. The star forward will have to carry the Lakers in Game 6 on Thursday, and while the Lakers are on the brink of elimination, James can't be the one to blame for the team's struggles, since he's averaging 22.6 points, 8.2 assists and 6.8 rebounds per game in the series so far.

Lakers' Talen Horton-Tucker: Double-doubles off bench Rotowire 10 HRS AGO Horton-Tucker mustered 11 points (4-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 11 rebounds and an assist across 16 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's loss to the Suns.
Horton-Tucker might have logged just 16 minutes off the bench, but he made the most of his opportunity -- especially after he had logged a combined 13 minutes so far in the playoffs while being absent in both Game 3 and Game 4. The former Iowa State standout shouldn't see heavy minutes given what's at stake for the Lakers in Game 6 on Thursday.
Lakers' Kyle Kuzma: Puts up 15 points off bench Rotowire 10 HRS AGO Kuzma delivered 15 points (6-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-5 FT) and a rebound across 23 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's loss against the Suns.
The Lakers struggled badly on offense in Game 5, but Kuzma showed improvement after going a combined 7-for-29 (24.1 percent) from the floor through the first four games of the series. He's scored in double digits in each of the last two contests, but the Lakers will need more out of him if they want to keep their season alive Thursday -- especially if Anthony Davis (groin) ends up being unavailable once again.

Charles Barkley calls Anthony Davis 'Street Clothes'
ByRILEY GATES 3 hours ago
NBA legend and TNT analyst Charles Barkley is in the headlines today after firing a shot off at Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis on Tuesday night. Barkley took a shot at Davis for him being constantly injured and not being on the floor enough.
At halftime of the Lakers’ game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night — a game that ended in a 115-85 win for the Suns — Barkley said that the Lakers cannot win this playoff series without, “street clothes.” When asked to elaborate on what he meant by that comment, Barkley said he calls Davis, “Street Clothes,” because Davis is always wearing street clothes instead of his game uniform.
“They can’t win this series without street clothes,” Barkley said. After that comment, show host Ernie Johnson responded by saying, “I’m not even — you want to explain that?” Barkley’s response was the one that then went viral.
“I call him Anthony ‘Street Clothes’ Davis,” Barkley said. “Because he’s always in street clothes.”
The former Kentucky standout was listed as day-to-day after sustaining a groin injury in the Lakers’ Game 4 loss to the Suns on Sunday. But with the series tied at two games apiece, the Lakers will be without the eight-time All-Star for a pivotal Game 5 in Phoenix.
Davis entered Game 4 already listed as questionable as he was battling a knee ailment, though he wound up playing. Instead, it was his groin that ultimately forced him off the court, after he landed awkwardly after a shot around the rim, immediately grabbing his left groin.
Without Davis, Los Angeles looked entirely helpless in a Game 5 matchup against Phoenix. In a series tied 2-2, the Lakers limped out of the gates and trailed by 30 points at halftime after losing the second half, 32-10. Star LeBron James did all he could to help his team get the win, but did not get much help elsewhere. James scored 24 points on 9-of-19 shooting. Only Kyle Kuzma (15 points) and Talen Horton-Tucker (11 points) scored double figures alongside James. James was seen leaving the court in frustration with over five minutes still remaining on the floor.
“They just took the fight to us, man,” Lakers forward Markieff Morris, who started in Davis’ place but finished the night with just four points and one rebound in 10 minutes, said, according to ESPN. “I feel like we started the game off a little hesitant. We needed everybody to be aggressive without AD in the game. I feel like we were really passive early on. I feel like we weren’t attacking them. They were attacking us.”

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Game-time call for Game 6 Rotowire JUN 2, 2021 Davis (groin) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's Game 6 against the Suns, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
After an embarrassing blowout loss in Tuesday's Game 5, it's do-or-die for the Lakers, so the general thought is that Davis will return to the lineup. However, coach Frank Vogel didn't sound overly confident when asked about his big man's status Wednesday afternoon. "We'll see," Vogel said. "He's making progress, but we still don't know." Without Davis in the lineup Tuesday, the Lakers were blitzed early on and couldn't fight back, ultimately falling by 30 points in a game that was never close.
