Our old dead arm buddy Mad Max Scherzer got lit up by the lowly Stains in Queens tonight. Seven runs, including four jacks in five innings. In the same game, Yu Darvish gave up only one run on a long ball over seven as the Stains took down the home team Mutts 7 - 1. deGrom, who they were saving “until necessary” will obviously have to go tomorrow. I won’t be shedding any tears if San Diego ends it in two. We’ve been THEIR Padres for decades, including this year. No reason to think that should change this October. GO DODGERS!!! Darvish had a really good season. I'm glad for him. |

And you have to think there was something to the funky baseballs he was being forced to use that were so slick they did not allow his normal grip which in turn affected his normal spin rate. Of course, there should have never been a game seven that year. GO DODGERS!!! |

Yasiel Puig's team advanced to Korea's championship series. He hit a homerun in the game. From the article I just read, I can't tell if that was the winning run. On the season he hit .277-21-73 in 547 plate appearances. He'll be 32 on December 7th.

Bells breaks his 0 - 11 start to the season with a three run bomb against the local Redlegs in the baby bears loss at the GAB earlier this evening.
Is now 1 - 15, a .067 BA with 1 HR and 3 RBI’s. My signed Topps Grade 10 Rookie Card continues to drop in value daily.
Such a talent that completely lost his way.

He’s at least making progress over last year and nearly .150 points higher than Taylor, who continues to look lost in space at the dish and is now hitting a robust .091. Is there a line below Mendoza? Because he’s certainly filling that goal. GO DODGERS!!! |

Scherzer out again tonight with a “stiff neck”. I guess since he has a problem with a dead arm, he tried to blow himself, resulting in this latest mishap.
