Planning on taking my 2020 Topps World Series set down to the LA games here in Cincy in September.
Hoping to get the “biggies” (Betts, Bells, Seager, Turner, Smith, Muncy, Buehler, Urias - maybe a few others to sign their cards.
Thinking that will add a little value to the set in addition to the one it came with already signed by Wood.
GO DODGERS!!!

I went through six boxes in the closet so far. There are maybe two more. I've added approximately 200 cards to my collection. I can't believe the cards I've found. I need more leafs to put them in albums.

So I think the final tally was 8 boxes of baseball cards, plus a stack of loose ones. I can't believe how many will be added to my albums collection. There were so many one Ken Griffey Jr. card had been stepped on. Repeatedly by the looks of it. The rest are pristine.

Finally got my diecast 1957 Thunderbird. It's on a bookshelf beneath a print of Van Gogh's 'Starry Night.' Looks good.

I have to get this stand put together for my Samurai sword.
I also have a big Indian peace pipe on the wall. Ceremonial of course, for Chiefs' victories. Until they change the name to the Kansas City 'Footballers.'
Can I get an exemption for my jerseys & paraphernalia? I'm 1/16th Choctaw on my mother's side. That's Elizabeth Warren territory. But I'm 1/4th Miami Indian on the paternal side. Grandma was born in Miami County, Kansas. I would be 5/16teenths Native American. Shouldn't I be getting a check or something?

Wife got me a 1:70 scale Monogram Space Shuttle model for my BD. Got the paints (11) colours the other day and the model glue is on the way. Hopefully get some time this weekend to start the painting of parts - LOTS of them. Assembly probably a few weeks off. I haven’t had one of these to put together for years, maybe decades. Pretty excited!!! GO DODGERS!!!

I have had my eye on this Henry rifle. A buddy asked if this was Winchester. I thought about that. When did repeating rifles come out? I recently got a book on the Reno Gang. They authored the first train robbery in American history. Haven't read it yet. I need new reading glasses. It's just really hard picturing old west outlaws holding up a train with single shot muskets.
Not sure how much industrial espionage may have been involved, but Henry & Spencer rifles both came out in 1860. They weren't issued to troops in the Civil War because of cost concerns. You had to buy it yourself. As late as the Spanish War, American bureaucrats were thinking about the cost of ammunition. If we give a frightened soldier a repeating rifle, he'll go through a shitload of bullets. Of course that philosophy has been replaced by suppressing your opponent with the sheer volume of shots fired.
But it was interesting reading all that. Now I'm thinking of a replica Spencer rifle. Remember Unforgiven? Morgan Freeman had a Spencer rifle. Winchester bought Spencer.

Goddammit! Winchester 73 was on before I went to the gun store. That's like grocery shopping when you're hungry. Stupid!
