Erdogan playing this hand for all it's worth. Russia has become our rival for Turkey's affection.
Edogan's version has both the U.S. & Russia failing to deliver on their promises of a peaceful Kurdish evacuation. He meets with Trump next week. Russia shortly after that. Do we blow Russia's anticipated offer out of the water? Or let this degenerate into a sort of auction, with Erdogan playing one side against the other? Putin may just stick us with the check.
Apparently Israel is trying to fill part of the void left by us. That's an explosive formula.
Someone mentioned something about the Turks acknowledging their massacres of Armenians a century ago & Turkey threatened to not even keep their appointment with us.
From puppet master to puppet just like that.

One Republican actually tried to whitewash Trump's Ukrainian policy by saying it's too "incoherent" to say it was a planned strategy. I think that's the word he used. Very comforting.
More & more Trump's story is falling apart. People throwing each other under the bus. Giuliani is probably the next to get crushed. Of course any time Rudy did would be at a 'country club' facility. It's just funny thinking of him being bunkies with someone he put away.
Why would ANYONE do time for Trump now that they've seen what he's about? Nixon had SOME dignity. I might have taken a fall for Nixon.

Trump was right. There is a coup. Just not the way he envisioned it.
Fairly early in his administration his cabinet discussed invoking the 25th Amendment, which allows for the removal of a sitting president if he's deemed mentally unfit. Mike Pence would take Trump's place. But Donnie got so paranoid he removed many of the people who would have gone along. The GOP would have actually been much better off if this gambit had worked. Like Hitler with Germany, Trump seems determined to take the Republican party down with him.
A book, named 'A Warning,' is due to be released November 19th. It details the plot. The author had to remain anonymous.

Trump now making it tougher for the EPA to do it's job. A scientific organization submits a report detailing health problems experienced by kids with behavioral problems who were exposed to lead paint, from now on the submitting agency has to include the names & medical records of every patient used in the study. They can even repeal measures already put into law.
I'm no scientist (neither is Trump), but specifically remember not being able to see downtown LA from our home in Mar Vista. I recall a ten year old's lungs hurting from running the streets. Eyes burning & watering. This man will literally be the death of us all.

Part of the bribe is to quadruple trade with Turkey. Trump said it was about $25,000,000,000. He wants to get it up to $100,000,000,000.
Erdogan is complaining about more Kurdish terrorist attacks. He mentions massacres in the past being made an issue today.
Trump looks & sounds really tired.

Don really is clueless. He congratulates Turkey for having the second largest defensive military in NATO. What he seemingly fails to absorb is that gives them the second largest OFFENSIVE force in NATO.

Wow! Giuliani was asked if he thought he might be next under the bus to save Trump & he replied that he has "insurance." Blackmail from the former D.A? His lawyer quickly interjected that, "he's joking." Off-beat sense of humor.
I hadn't heard before that Trump wanted to buy Greenland. Maybe we could have towed icebergs into place along the Rio Grande, to protect Colorado & Kansas. That or used them to cool off 'hot' states after nuking a hurricane.

They and most of the media will never admit that they were wrong and that a pompous, egotistical boar made them look bad by winning an election NONE of them thought or said he could. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING influenced me into voting for Trump over Shillary more than Shillary herself. And if she runs again, the result will be the same. She is neither likable nor electable in my opinion and her involvement and ennui with Benghazi is loathsome. GO DODGERS!!! |

GOP strategy for today is obvious. Keep interrupting to make Schiff appear unreasonable when he dismisses their unsanctioned remarks. Make it look like Trump is being railroaded.
Trump's concern is once again highlighted by the president's desperate tweeting. He's doing exactly what Yovanovitch was warned he would do; Trump is smearing her. Donald is his own worst enemy. Expect Republicans to attack Yovanovitch's credibility when it resumes.
