That's sufficiently vague.

Who is going to be the fifth starter if Ferguson is sent down? The rotation will be Kershaw, Wood, Hill, Maeda and Stripling. When Beuhler comes back, Hill will go to the bullpen at his request. Let's face it, Ferguson had a reasonably good second start, but it's obvious he's really not ready for the bigs. The rotation should be good again once we get Kershaw back and hypothetically more when Ryu and or Urias are able to join it. I am more than okay with sending Hill to the pen. I am taking the under of 5 games that he goes back on the DL when he comes back. As for Ferguson I like what I am seeing. He is by far a finished product but he seems to be getting better with each start he has made. I think he will contribute to the staff going forward. A rotation of Kershaw, Stripling, Wood, Buehler, and Maeda is pretty darn good with Ryu and Urias in the horizon and Hill and Ferguson filling in as needed. Hope to health.

I agree, Fergy will be a great addition to the rotation, maybe next year if Kershaw bails. I'm also pulling for Denis Martinez whose rotator cuff is only strained. It's my uneducated guess he'll be back by August since it's only a strain. Marty and Fergy both will be great additions in September, and the rotation we have now with everyone healthy is great.

Assume you are referring to Dennis Santana, not Martnez regarding the rotator cuff strain. Good money is still on him going undet the knife before all is said and done, especially with our “crack” team of physicians and their history of misdiagnosis. GO DODGERS!!!

June 18, 2018 7:16 pm Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Set for bullpen by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Ryu (groin) will throw a bullpen session in the next few days, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Ryu suffered a minor setback during his bullpen session over the weekend, but it's not expected to affect his throwing program. The southpaw is on the 60-day DL and isn't eligible to return until early July.

June 18, 2018 7:12 pm Dodgers' Tony Cingrani: Suffers setback Monday by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Cingrani (shoulder) felt something in his shoulder last week and has been shut down, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Cingrani was originally expected to miss the minimum after landing on the disabled list with a rotator cuff strain earlier in the month, but the southpaw is now without a timetable for his return after suffering a setback during his rehab.
Share: Twitter Facebook June 18, 2018 7:05 pm Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Slated for bullpen session by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Buehler (ribs) is expected to toss a bullpen session Saturday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
There remains no timeline for Buehler's return, but it's positive news that he's throwing once again. His return should become more clear once he feels healthy enough to throw against live hitters. Buehler has been on the shelf since June 12.

June 18, 2018 6:58 pm Dodgers' Rich Hill: Discovers mechanical flaw by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Hill (finger) changed his mechanics during his rehab work, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. Dodgers pitching coach Rick Honeycutt noticed on video that Hill's alignment toward home plate during his delivery was faulty, so he suggested Hill transfer the weight on his back foot from his toe to his heel.
The kinetic adjustment in the southpaw's right foot seems to have cleaned up Hill's balance during his pitching motion and, to the delight of his fantasy shareholders, might've brought the alluring bite back to his Statcast darling of a curveball. "[The adjustment has] helped me get back that efficient spin rate I had the last three years," Hill said. "When I was on my toe, I would dive across [the first-base side of the mound]. On my heel, I'm able to stay more in line toward the plate. It's very subtle, but credit to Rick, being the best pitching coach in the business." This alteration was on full display when Hill struck out 10 batters without a walk in 4.2 innings for High-A Lake Elsinore on Thursday. Of course, the most important thing to watch during his impending return Tuesday against the Cubs (and beyond) is whether the treatments on the "super blister" that's plagued his left middle finger will hold up under the duress of a major-league outing. Still, this new development could brighten Hill's immediate future and prompt a significant turnaround from his atrocious 6.20 ERA in abbreviated 2018 action.

June 18, 2018 6:55 pm Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Could return over weekend by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Manager Dave Roberts said Kershaw (back) is a candidate to start against the Mets over the weekend, Pedro Moura of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
Kershaw fired a three-inning simulated game with no issues Monday, and it sounds like he could rejoin the Dodgers' starting rotation earlier than expected if he checks out OK in the coming days. That said, the Dodgers could also opt to play it safe and send their ace to Triple-A Oklahoma City for a minor-league rehab start before activating him. Either way, the southpaw now appears to be on track to return before the end of June.

Looks like the Dodgers have decided to send him on one anyway this weekend. Makes sense considering his one and done comeback from his last injury.

Evidently he lost the debate. Rehab start set for Saturday with OKC. 60 pitches or 4 innings...

June 22, 2018 5:30 pm Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Will start against Mets on Saturday by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Kershaw (back) will forgo a rehab assignment and return from the 10-day DL to start against the Mets on Saturday, Andy McCullough of The Los Angeles Times reports.
With the potential for rain in Omaha where Triple-A Oklahoma City is set to play this weekend, the Dodgers elected to refrain from sending Kershaw down to the minors for a final tune-up. The left-hander recently tossed a three-inning simulated game and was aiming for a return this weekend before the organization originally decided on the one-game rehab outing. Looking ahead, don't expect Kershaw to last too long during Saturday's affair, as the Dodgers are planning on limiting his pitch count with Caleb Ferguson waiting in the bullpen, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports. Kershaw last appeared against the Phillies on May 31, allowing one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out five across five innings.

June 22, 2018 2:57 pm Dodgers' Chase Utley: Activated from DL by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Utley (thumb) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list prior to Friday's game.
As expected, Utley will return to the fold after missing the past three weeks with a sprained left thumb. He is not listed in the Dodgers' starting lineup against the Mets on Friday but all indications point to him being available off the bench.

June 22, 2018 2:32 pm Dodgers' Chris Taylor: Remains out Friday by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Taylor (hamstring) is not in the lineup against the Mets on Friday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports
Taylor will get another day of rest after exiting Wednesday's game with left hamstring tightness. Though the 27-year-old said he would be in the lineup for the series opener in New York, manager Dave Roberts elected not to rush him back into action even with Thursday's off day. Enrique Hernandez will start at shortstop in his place. Consider him day-to-day ahead of Saturday's game.

June 24, 2018 4:45 pm Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Throws bullpen session by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Buehler (ribs) threw a bullpen session Sunday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Buehler was scheduled to throw a session Saturday, but the session was delayed as he was still feeling pain in his ribs. It doesn't appear that the setback was a major one, as he ended up only being delayed one day.

June 24, 2018 11:39 am Dodgers' Chris Taylor: Misses another game by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Taylor (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Taylor said his hamstring felt better Saturday, when he was able to pinch hit, but he remains out of the starting lineup. He's still considered day-to-day. Enrique Hernandez will make his third straight start at shortstop.
