Thought I'd put this in the general section instead of around the league because this is the team the Dodgers need to catch. Sort of like Major League with a pinup of the owner.

Since the Dodgers beat the Dbacks on May 2nd that team has gone 4-10.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Set for bullpen session Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Delgado (shoulder, oblique) is slated to throw a bullpen session Friday, Justin Toscano of MLB.com reports.
Delgado hasn't faced hitters over the past month after being pulled off his rehab assignment at High-A Visalia when he experienced a notable downturn in his velocity. He was later diagnosed with shoulder soreness, but after receiving a cortisone shot earlier this month, it appears Delgado has turned the corner in his recovery and will resume the process of building up his arm again. The shoulder is likely the greater concern for Delgado at this juncture than the strained left oblique that resulted in his initial placement on the disabled list.

Diamondbacks' Braden Shipley: Will pitch simulated game Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Shipley (elbow) is scheduled to pitch an extended spring training game Friday, Justin Toscano of MLB.com reports.
Shipley came out of his bullpen session Tuesday without any issue, so he'll take another step forward in the rehab process by facing hitters in a controlled setting Friday. Assuming the simulated games goes well, Shipley could head out on a minor-league rehab assignment at some point next week. Once he's activated from the 10-day disabled list, Shipley could be an option for the Arizona rotation if Robbie Ray hasn't made a full recovery from a strained oblique by that point.

Diamondbacks' Matt Koch: Lit up for eight runs
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Koch (2-2) was dealt the loss Wednesday, allowing eight runs on nine hits and a walk against the Brewers.
It was a dreadful day from start to finish, as Koch gave up four home runs and failed to record a strikeout despite throwing first-pitch strikes to 16 of the 22 batters he faced. It's the lefty's second loss in a row, but Wednesday was really the first time so far he's been hit hard. Prior to this most recent outing, Koch earned four quality starts in five tries and boasted a 2.43 ERA. That's now bloated up to 4.06, as he'll look to right the ship in a rematch against the Brewers on Monday.

Diamondbacks' Jake Lamb: Could return over weekend
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Lamb (shoulder) could be back with the Diamondbacks at some point during their weekend series against the Mets, Jack Magruder of The Sports Xchange reports.
Lamb played just four games this season before being shut down with a shoulder sprain. He appeared to be nearing a return in late April before being delayed by elbow tendinitis and then another shoulder setback. He's been rehabbing with High-A Visalia and finally appears to be on the brink of returning, though manager Torey Lovullo called it just a "possibility" that Lamb would be back over the weekend, so it may still be a few more days.

Diamondbacks' A.J. Pollock: Out 4-8 weeks with fractured thumb
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Pollock was diagnosed with an avulsion fracture in his left thumb Tuesday. He'll be sidelined for 4-to-8 weeks.
Pollock was initially diagnosed with a left thumb sprain, but subsequent testing with a hand specialist has revealed a more serious injury. The star center fielder has opted to forego surgery and will instead sport a soft cast over the coming weeks, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. Jarrod Dyson and Chris Owings will occupy center field duties in Pollock's absence. He'll be placed on the disabled list in the very near future.

Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Another extended spring start coming
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Miller (elbow) will make his second start at extended spring training Thursday, Justin Toscano of MLB.com reports.
After tossing three innings and striking out five in his first extended spring outing Friday, Miller tossed a bullpen session Monday and experienced no unexpected soreness in his surgically repaired right elbow. He'll likely work deeper into Thursday's appearance as he builds up to a starter's workload in anticipation of a late-June return from the 60-day disabled list. With Taijuan Walker (elbow) shut down for the season, Miller should have a rotation spot waiting for him once he's activated by the Diamondbacks.

Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Ups throwing distance to 90 feet
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Ray (oblique) increased his throwing distance off flat ground to 90 feet Monday, Justin Toscano of MLB.com reports.
Arizona manager Torey Lovullo observed Ray's throwing session and noted that the lefty said he "felt good" afterward. The Diamondbacks are hopeful that Ray will be able to resume throwing off a mound in the near future, which would leave open the possibility for him to come off the 10-day disabled list before the end of the month.

Diamondbacks' Steven Souza: Records two hits Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Souza went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the Diamondbacks' 7-2 loss to the Brewers on Monday.
www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/souzast01.shtml
Souza put the Diamondbacks' first run on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning, doubling down the left-field line to score Daniel Descalso. He then delivered in the base hit in the eighth inning to give him his second multi-hit game of the season, which got off to a delayed start after Souza sustained a strained pectoral muscle in spring training. The outfielder has struggled to the tune of a .152/.243/.182 line through 37 plate appearances, but a .200 BABIP and career-low 21.6 percent strikeout rate suggest that better times are ahead for Souza.

Diamondbacks' Patrick Corbin: Velocity down last two outings
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Corbin's average fastball velocity has sat between 89-to-90 miles per hour over his last two outings and dropped to 87-to-88 mph range during the final inning of his start Wednesday against the Dodgers, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic Arizona reports.
With a 1.64 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 12 strikeouts in 11 frames over the past two starts, Corbin's results haven't indicated any obvious decline, but Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo admitted that the lefty's command hasn't been as sharp of late. That's been especially apparent when Corbin throws his best pitch (the slider), as he's generated swing and misses on the offering 16 percent of the time in May after drawing whiffs at a nearly 33 percent clip over his first six starts. in addition to his slider finding the dirt more than usual, Corbin's fastball velocity readings bring additional cause for concern. Though Corbin has never thrown major heat, the fact that he hasn't thrown a pitch over 92 mph his past two times out after averaging nearly 93 mph prior to that has given him less margin for error when he works in the zone. While the 28-year-old insists he's healthy and expects his velocity and command to rebound, fantasy owners may nonetheless want to consider shopping him to guard against the bottom falling out completely.

Diamondbacks' Kris Medlen: Sent back to Triple-A
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Medlen was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Saturday.
Medlen was up for just one start and got shelled, giving up seven runs on nine hits and four walks in just four innings Friday against Houston. Braden Shipley was promoted to take his place on the roster.

Diamondbacks' Taijuan Walker: Transferred to 60-day disabled list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Walker (elbow) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Friday.
This is simply a procedural move, as Walker is already going to be out until sometime during the 2019 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on April 25. His roster spot will be vacated to allow Kris Medlen to head to the majors to start Friday's game against the Astros.
