And as far as Jeremy goes, I actually made a post yesterday in the game day thread pointing out that he had been kind of quiet during the Dodgers win streak and predicted Kershaws bad start would bring him out of hiding. And what happened? Kershaw’s bad start brought him out of hiding.

Speed, over the years on the Dodger's board, I observed you to be both occasionally reasonable, but also sometimes quite pugnacious. You are certainly not the worst offender on my "Pugnacious Poster list".
You've likely seen me posting on the old board for well more than a decade. I post my opinions, and try to remember to post documentation, like the legendary BillyNoNo first mentored me to do when I was a true newbee.
When I first joined the old board, I didn't even realize that there was another "Billy" on the site. I chose that screen name from a combination of a lot of Indonesian residency with regard to my work, and my "Billy-Bob" personal email account.
As a very high-end field engineer, my employer enjoyed the "hill-billy" style personal e-mail name, for a guy living in, and dealing with very primitive jungle conditions. I reveled in the opportunity to adapt to the brief late 19th century society and conditions. What a blessing to see & experience the last of that, forever!

It's truly a shame, how those remote Indonesian villages have changed from the mid 1990's to now. When I first went there, in early 1996, there was no electricity, no phones, no TV, essentially no radio. Those people were still living in the 1880's.
By 2006, ten years later, they had electricity, mobile phones, TV, and even the Internet! What a shame to lose all of that innocence.
On the other hand, when I got kidnapped there in 2005, I was quite happy to have had a great 10-year relationship with the local villagers, who managed to sneak me out of town under a bunch of bananas.
Subsequent to that 2005 kidnapping, I have returned to the same villages several times..., but life there is no way near what it was like before electricity.

Kershaw's ERA is 2.84 with a WHIP of 1.132 after 6 starts. Hardly horrible.
In 2014 after 6 starts his ERA was 3.57 with a WHIP of 1.217, both worse than this year's start.
He went on to win the Cy Young that year.
In 2011, after his first six starts his ERA was 3.52 and WHIP was 1.252.
He won the Cy Young.
Yes, some years he started great and after six starts had lower ERA and WHIP.
But the point is that these first six starts don't necessarily mean anything. He has started the season worse and still gone on to win the Cy Young twice.

According to the velocity meter, his fastball is 2 miles fast than his slider. Hey, your avatar... almost looks like Superman; but no,Superman certainly doesn't need glasses. Shh...I'm in cognito Is that Otis from Andy of Mayberry?

Oh, BTW, getting kidnapped in a Muslim country is usually bad. When I got kidnapped in Indonesia, I was on an "R&R" vacation from a civilian (2005 US Army Corps of Engineers) assignment in Afghanistan. Everyday I worked in Afghanistan, kidnapping by the Taliban & Al Queda was a constant concern I took my first "R&R" in Indonesia, and got kidnapped there! That was kind of a "WTF?" situation.
Fortunately, some of the kidnappers in Indonesia had known me for more than 10 years. They didn't actually consider me an agent of Satan.
In subsequent visits to the region, apparently, none of my helpers ever suffered any consequences for sneaking me out of the village. It wasn't just the village, it was the entire region that knew me, and the entire region's police/military let me get past, hidden under the bananas in the back of a van.

Azul, how happy I am to see you here! Earlier this evening, I was thinking about how important it was to get both you and NWLAD on this board as our fact checkers. We already have an abundance of pugnacious posters here. What we really need is more Azuls & NWLADS.

It has been soooo long since I've heard and seen that show, I use to listen to it on the radio, along with "Sky King" and most important the "Adventures of Superman" my favorite, Dimension x Science Fiction and The Lone Ranger Hiho Silver...away..in cloud of dust. I had that gun set as I always like the two gun approach, ah yes...Clayton Moore, and John Hart for a brief while Jay Silverheels. There is a lot of those days I miss and I was big into westerns; the Duke, Audie Murphy, Randolf Scott, Jimmy Stewart... Amazon Prime has some of the Hopalong Cassidy stuff in pretty good shape, and a lot of other historical stuff re-mastered. I couldn't believe how good of a job they did with Andy Griffith. That re-mastered black & white looked great. As for the old radio shows, I have downloaded a bunch, and also purchased CD sets (which I compile onto DVDs). I put them on the car's DVD player to play on road trips. Fibber McGee & Molly are among my favorites, and even my progeny can still enjoy the comedy while we're out in the car. I haven't gotten Alexa to play that OTR (Old Time Radio) stuff yet, but I'm hoping. I always thought that radio theater was better than TV or movies. It's much more engrossing, like a book, where you employ your mind to visualize the action & scenery. F GeeWhiz-Fibber McGee & Molly man, I haven't heard that name in decades heck, generations. Wow, I used to love the Great Throckmorton Gildersleeve on that show, every Tuesday night after Groucho With "You bet your Life" "Amos N Andy" (I know there's controversy around that show but I'm sorry that was funny stuff the Kingfish was great!) and "Jack Benny Program" to name a few, just so many great shows that's the great thing about reading and radio they are more personal as they are "theater of the mind"

Perhaps the administrators of this board will eventually allow exchanges of email names, by mutual consent. Whoa - too many Heinekens when I wrote that! Andy Divine's raspy voice was probably best known as "Jingles" on the Wild Bill Hickock show. Somehow, with way too many beers, I also thought of Sterling Holloway, who voiced Kaa, the Disney Boa Constrictor in the movie "JUNGLE BOOK".

Well, I did rule out Gabby Hayes and Hoot Gibson Disney, The Theme Park that spawned a TV show, later in color, when color programming was hard to come by!
