Laser line drive homerun down the leftfield line by Chapman. The Dodgers have made this guy look good.

Taylor hits a key homer to make it 9-1.
Seriously, I'm just glad he hit one.

How many were wearing their shirts from yesterday and goofy Mickey Mouse hats today? Still four games under .500 and only bettering the lowly Rox in the division. So sad we’ll always be their daddies! GO DODGERS!!!

Some maroon on Twitter / X actually posted that the All Star game was NOT a “popularity contest”.
Well, OF COURSE IT IS!!!
What frosts me is that when a player is hurt (like Mookie), why does he remain eligible when there’s no chance in hell that he’s going to play?
I understand the “status” and a good deal of the time, bonuses paid, but it just seems like it takes away a place and position for another deserving player.
And it isn’t always the dude that gets the second most votes, right? Doesn’t the manager make all of the decisions regarding replacements for injured players?
And one other thing. Why does EVERY team have to be represented? Some teams just flat out suck as do most of their players, none of whom could be considered All Stars.
So why does some scrub on the Reds or Rockies or White Sox get to occupy a roster spot that could easily be filled by a dozen or so other players in that position?
I hope Ohtani does the right thing and sits out of the HR Derby . The last thing this team needs is another injured player or setback on a healing injury.
It’s be nice if management / ownership could disallow him from participating. But I doubt that they can and probably wouldn’t if they could.
More exposure means more $$$ and we KNOW the Dodgers and MLB are all about the mighty goombah!
GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Chris Taylor: Slated for more time at third base Rotowire 19 HRS AGO Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Taylor will have more of a "runway" to play third base, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Third base has been a weakness for the Dodgers since Max Muncy landed on the injured list with an oblique injury May 17. The team made a trade in mid-June for Cavan Biggio, but he's struggled to a .188 batting average and 33.3 percent strikeout rate in 12 games with Los Angeles. Taylor had a disastrous start to the campaign -- he was hitting .095 with a 39.2 percent punchout rate over 36 contests through June 6 -- but has turned things around of late, slashing .385/.448/.731 with four extra-base hits (including two homers), four RBI, seven runs and two thefts over his past 11 games. He started at third base Sunday against San Francisco and collected a home run, a double and two RBI, and Roberts has indicated that Taylor will start at the hot corner again in the team's next game (Tuesday versus Arizona), per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports. If Taylor keeps his momentum going, he could keep the primary third base job until Muncy returns to action, which likely won't happen until after the All-Star break. Biggio and Enrique Hernandez are the other options to log time at the hot corner for the time being.
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Tallies three hits in loss Rotowire 21 HRS AGO Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a double and a run Sunday in a loss to San Francisco.
Hernandez accounted for three of the Dodgers' eight hits in the contest as he recorded his first multi-hit performance since May 29. The utility man has remained an inconsistent part of the team's lineup despite injuries to Max Muncy (oblique) and Mookie Betts (wrist). Hernandez has started just three of the Dodgers' past seven games, and he carries a mediocre .208/.274/.312 slash line along with four homers and 12 RBI over 190 plate appearances on the campaign.

“Third base has been a weakness for the Dodgers since Max Muncy landed on the injured list with an oblique injury May 17”.
It’s truly sad that LA thinks it’s only been since Maxine went in the IL.
Exactly what are his strengths that make him so valuable at third?
His fielding? His arm? His .200 BA? His K rate with RISP?
Okay - so he hits an occasional HR. But in more cases than not, they are usually solo shots in blowouts one way or the other.
Let’s not get carried away that he’s irreplaceable.
Agreed that Biggio isn’t the answer, but pretty much saw that dumpster dive coming from a mile away.
I wonder why management didn’t? Same with Alvarez.
While he has had a few decent games, he’s also already blown two which in his short time here shouldn’t be acceptable nor surprising, considering he sucked so bad the lowly Mutts cut his ass lose.
GO DODGERS!!!

Rut row, Shaggy. The Marlins just DFA’d two time All Star SS Tim Anderson.
Do we see yet another dumpster dive in LA’s future? He’s batting a whopping .215 with no HR’s and only 9 RBI’s with 68 K’s -vs- 7 BB’s.
Seems like he’d fit right in with the current .200 Club!
Keep your Mont Blancs handy and at the ready.
GO DODGERS!!!
