And that's how she ends. Sad... Did the bobsey twins actually have Teoscar batting second tonight? I know the dude is having a pretty decent year, but a two hole hitter he is not. And how about that POS Barnes who they stole a half dozen bases on. At least he did get a hit and score one of the two runs. Kiké completely overmatched and overwhelmed in the 10th and swinging at balls over his head. All LA needed was a fly ball or grounder to the right. Instead, he’s swinging for the fences as instructed. Knew the game was over at that point. Looks like the Angles have LA’s number again. Even when they suck, they always seem to save their best game for the Dodgers. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Goes deep again Friday Rotowire 8 HRS AGO Ohtani went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and two walks in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Angels.
Ohtani accounted for four of the seven baserunners the Dodgers had in this contest, though the team's No. 2-through-5 hitters went a combined 0-for-16. Ohtani has logged multiple hits in five of his last six games, and he's swatted five homers with 11 RBI in that span. The superstar is up to a .322/.398/.628 slash line with 22 long balls, 55 RBI, 60 runs scored and 16 stolen bases on 18 attempts through 75 games this year.
Dodgers' Landon Knack: Shows well in return to majors Rotowire 8 HRS AGO Knack allowed two hits and two walks while striking out two over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Friday.
Knack put in a strong effort, but the Dodgers' offense was unusually quiet. He left the game with a 2-0 lead, only for Ryan Yarbrough to give it back in the sixth inning. Knack has a 2.10 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB over 25.2 innings across five starts in the majors this season. With both Yoshinobu Yamamoto (shoulder) and Walker Buehler (hip) landing on the injured list in the last week, Knack has a chance to gain some momentum in the Dodgers' rotation while Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) and Dustin May (elbow) are likely to be rehabbing into July. However, with off-days Sunday, Thursday and Monday, July 1, the Dodgers can get by with a four-man rotation for the rest of the month, so it's unclear if Knack will get the opportunity it looks like he's ready for.

Since being moved to leadoff, Ohtani is batting .417 / .517 / .917. Seems like they’d maybe want to keep him there. But never fear - the day Mookie comes off the IL, I’m With Stupid and Stupid will have him right back there at the top. Betts could hit .200 for weeks on end and not lose his spot. Because - you know - that’s what the computer says. Of course, that same computer put Teo in the two hole last night. GO DODGERS!!!

Mookie hits a lot of homers too. He doesn't HAVE to bat leadoff. Ohtani steals bases. Or we going by height & weight? I noticed he had a homer & walk last night. Dude has been scalding the ball in the leadoff spot.

Dude has been scalding the ball in the leadoff spot. I saw on X that in the modern StatCast era, there have only been 14 HR’s 450 feet or more in Dodger Stadium history. Oh now has four, including the two in this Angles series. His stats since moving to lead-off, while certainly not sustainable for an entire season or even the two months Mookie will be sidelined are impressive, to say the least: 10-for-20 .500 AVG .600 OBP 1.100 SLG 3 HR 9 RBI 7 R 1.700 OPS I don’t see how you move him back to the two hole if he continues to crush like this. But I think we all know Daisy & Fraudy will kowtow to Betts’ “preference”, just like they did moving him to the infield. The old saying “there is no ‘I’ in team” is all but lost on them and Mookie. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Smacks second homer Rotowire 6 HRS AGO Lux went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's win over the Angels.
Lux drew nine pitches in his first at-bat before clobbering a solo shot off Zach Plesac to put the Dodgers on the board. The second baseman would also add an RBI single in the fifth, giving him just his third multi-hit performance this month. Lux has now hit safely in three of his last four contests, posting three RBI and three runs over that brief stretch. Saturday also marked the first time in his last six games that he didn't strike out.
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Demolishes 23rd homer Rotowire 6 HRS AGO Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's win over the Angels while also drawing a walk.
Ohtani jumped on a hanging slider from Zach Plesac in the third inning and launched it 459 feet into the stands in right-center field for his 23rd home run of the season. The superstar slugger has now homered in three consecutive games and has collected at least one RBI in seven straight. Over that latter stretch he's batting .481 (13-for-27) with six homers, 13 RBI and 10 runs scored.
Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Strikes out 10 in victory Rotowire 6 HRS AGO Glasnow (8-5) picked up the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits over seven innings while striking out 10.
Glasnow got off to a great start, going 1-2-3 through each of the first three innings while striking out five of the first 11 batters he faced. He would allow just one unearned run over the first six frames before leaving a slider up in the zone in the seventh, which Logan O'Hoppe launched into the stands for a solo shot. Glasnow has been spectacular as of late, with the exception of his road outing against the Yankees three starts back, allowing no more than three hits in four of his last five outings. He's also posted double-digit strikeouts in two of his last three starts and now carries a 40:4 K:BB in June to go along with a 2.42 ERA.
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Reports soreness during bullpen Rotowire 21 HRS AGO Kershaw (shoulder) reported soreness during Saturday's bullpen session and could have his rehab outing scheduled for Tuesday pushed back, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Kershaw completed three innings in a rehab outing at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday and was expected to jump up to Triple-A Oklahoma City for Tuesday's outing. However, he may need more time between rehab appearances after feeling soreness in his shoulder during a bullpen session Saturday. Even if Kershaw does have to push back his next outing, he wasn't expected back until near the All-Star break regardless.

Well it looks like our old friend Pepperman has been in a pitching slump. That, or he's just coming back to Earth after several good starts. He had 3 great innings against the Blackbeards, then suddenly he couldn't find the plate. 2 walks to open the 4th, then an RBI single, a pop out, then an RBI double, a walk, and then the hook. He threw 74 pitches in 3.1 innings so there was no point keeping him in. With the bases loaded, if any of them scored, they'd be charged to him, but the releiver threw one pitch, boom boom, 2 outs, inning over. But now his ERA is 4.61, and 3 bad starts in a row.
Analysts thought the Dodgers were very smart in trading him, with his FIP and ERA+ not good. I don't understand those stats, but with Glassman pitching so well now, it's looking like LA got a steal in the trade.

Kershaw with another setback and has been shut down for at least a week due to shoulder soreness following his last session.
I love the guy to death and have to admire his commitment to the Dodgers and pitching again.
But at some point, both he and the Dodgers are going to have to say it’s time to bow out gracefully.
He’d probably make an excellent pitching coach, but his body has to be telling him that he’s done as a player.
To continue counting on him to come back year after year, surgery after surgery is a fools game for both him and the team.
He’s certainly given everything he can to get that “one more year” and another ring / title, but the reality of his playing career being over is closer than ever.
GO DODGERS!!!

The Dodgers scored 3 runs & no one hit a homer. Wow! Rojas was 2 - 4. LA has won every game he has gotten a hit in. Paxton with another gem. Pen was also lights out. Even Ramirez had a perfect inning. Of course, it was against the Southsiders who own the worst record in the majors at 21 - 59. GO DODGERS!!!
