Who else noticed Darvish's reaction to striking out Muncy on a curve? The Padres announcers didn't say anything. Max looked like a fool when the string was pulled. Nothing new for Muncy. Yu walked back to the mound with his hands out. As if to say - 'What can I say?'
Pretty bush league.
We're used to Max striking out. It's no great accomplishment.

Now Yardbird hits Tatis in the back. We're looking very bad here.

Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Gives up two home runs Rotowire 13 HRS AGO Buehler (0-1) took the loss Sunday against the Padres, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two in 3.1 innings.
The majority of the damage against Buehler came in the opening frame when Fernando Tatis and Jake Cronenworth smoked back-to-back solo home runs. Buehler would later exit with the bases loaded and one out in the fourth and was charged with an additional run. He struggled with his command in another abbreviated start, throwing 45 of 77 pitches for strikes, and generated only five whiffs. Buehler will carry a 7.36 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 6:2 K:BB over 7.1 innings into a meeting with the Reds.

LA needs to do only one thing against the local Redlegs this and ESPECIALLY next weekend (where we’ll be for all three games). Keep Ely De La Cruz off the bases. He creates havoc and is basically a lock to steal every time he reaches. In their last two series against the Snakes and Gnats, that’s EXACTLY what both teams did and the Reds got swept by the Snakes at home and then lost two out of three in SF. They snapped an eight or nine game losing streak with the one W in SF. And for most of those games and losses, Ely has been a non factor. He absolutely cannot hit a curve or anything off speed but crushes fastballs when he guesses correctly and gets thrown one. So, a little advice to Daisy, the pitching coach and starters / relievers - don’t throw Ely ANY fastballs early or with a count in his favour. Set him up with the junk and then when he tries to slow his swing down to time it with the junk, fire him up with 95 +. Can’t begin to tell you how many times I saw this work on him over the last couple of weeks. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Back in lineup Monday Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Ohtani (back) is serving as the designated hitter and batting second in Monday's game against the Giants.
Ohtani sat out Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Padres after leaving Saturday's game due to back tightness. The day off seems to have done the trick, and Ohtani is back in action for Monday's series opener. Ohtani has gone 12-for-28 with eight runs, four stolen bases, four home runs and eight RBI in May.

Smith stands to be the hero right now. Two run double. Fire Sale closes it out on a 6 - 4 - 3 double play. Watching the Reds & Snakes. Jacque just got tossed arguing strike three (which as CLEARLY low and outside). Gnat manager came out to defend him and HE got tossed. Redlegs up by one batting in the ninth. Looks like AZ rescinded their “no opposing team shirts behind home plate” program. Saw quite a few Dodger jerseys the last time they played there and dude in Reds T has been in just about every CF camera shot. GO DODGERS!!!

How do so many fans of opposing teams get those expensive seats unless they were being scalped? Phoenix wouldn't even have a team without the Dodgers.

Redlegs blow another one. Their former untouchable closer Diaz has now blown two of his last three attempts, is 1 - 2 with a 6.75 ERA on the year.
They are now 1 - 9 in one run games and that win came during their opening series in March against the Nationals.
Four games in LA this weekend and three more here in Cincy next. If LA doesn’t win six out of seven, that would be disappointing.
GO DODGERS!!!
